Oh Coffee Trailer, where have you gone? I was so looking forward to a «orgasm in a cup served by a couple hot chicks». Especially since it’s next to impossible to find good coffee in Austin(I’m from Oregon). I’m sad to say the Coffee Trailer has closed.

Hellz yeah I’d like a delicious, hot latte on this cold-and-drizzly-ass morning. That’s what I said to myself right before I stopped in here for the latte, which was made with a smile by two cute girls with rough and tumble ponytails. That latte was hot and delicious and she put a little fern leaf design on top. Also, sometimes they have beef empanadas and those are wicked good.

Why call it the Coffee Trailer? Why not call it what it is «An orgasm in a cup served by a couple of hot chicks.» Seriously people, this coffee is so GOOD, once I had my first cup; I drove to my Mom’s house and slapped her in the face. I’m sure it will make you want to do the same. I stop by every morning for my fix, it’s the only thing that gets me through my mundane stop and go commute down I-35. It’s not too far off the highway for all you drivers heading South on the interstate. You should really do yourself a favor, stop by and see Lucy and Meg. They will make sure you get off to a good start. Tell ‘em Jeff sent you, they may give you a free napkin. Keep up the good work gals, I hope you guys are around for a very long time!

I think that I had the best carmel mocha in my life today! This little slice of heaven covered in yellow paint is waiting to be discovered by the masses. Let me just say this everytime Lucy makes a custom coffee an angel gets its wings.

I have been passing by this small little trailer on my way down Airport to catch IH35 South to head into work every morning. I would always eyeball the nice crowd of people that would gather around the trailer’s window as I sat at the light of 45th& Airport Blvd. I’d see customers sip their coffee in teal and yellow chairs enjoying their morning coffee while I drove off to just sit on IH35 in a hurry only to find myself crawling down southbound into work 5x a week. Today I decided I had enough! I swerved off Airport and parked in the shared parking lot of Sideshow Tattoo & the Just Brakes and walked right up to the window. I was greeted by a nice lady who was all smiles and happy to be serve me. I was determined to get caffeinated at some point in the morning so why not let it by now and at The Coffee Trailer, right?! The barista mentioned there was a special going on this month for $ 3 lattes and since I already had prospects to try a soy latte I thought there was really no better time to get me some really good local coffee. Not only was it a great deal and price I really feel that The Coffee Trailer has got to have the best soy latte in this town(and I try a lot!). I was immediately satisfied and my taste buds thanked me this morning as I facilitated a training for the agency I work for. :) I boasted about the coffee 3x to co-workers today. :) Oh the Coffee Trailer — I love you and your rich & tasty coffee. Stay just for awhile please? I need you(every morning)! ;o)

I just had the toffee nut iced coffee with whipped cream & it rocked! I usually don’t buy the flavored coffees from any coffee joint because they normally DROWN the coffee flavor in them but the coffee trailers didn’t! it was a nice strong coffee with a hint of the toffee nut flavor & whipped cream to boot! I also don’t normally get the cold coffees for the same reason. Theirs had the balance right. Will be sure to frequent this place!

A long time ago, in a suburb far, far away: a yellow trailer came to the Round Rockian hinterlands bearing gifts of espresso, Austin funkiness, and cool barista babe bad-assitude. Lo, and it was good. For they were serving perfect Cuvee cofee, and there were latte art leaves in the milk. For months, I drank greedily of Coffee Trailer espresso and of newfound friendships. My mornings were brightened. I attacked my spreadsheets with a renewed caffeine-enhanced zeal, and my fertility was enhanced(as a result, my wife is expecting a second son). Anyone who’s ever watched a romantic comedy knows that there has to be an adversity part. There are bumper stickers that say«Keep Round Rock Normal.» These narrow-minded reactionaries don’t want weird. They don’t want funky. They didn’t want a yellow trailer with a dog named Lyle and the best damn espresso this side of Lady Bird Lake. Well, one of them didn’t, at least. A sadistic dentist who I suspect also hates puppies, pizza, and long walks on the beach. He didn’t take kindly to the coffee-swilling hippie-types that were now lining up in steadily increasing numbers and parking their dented jalopies too close to his precious Benz. The dentist tenant pulled a few strings with the landlord, and The Coffee Trailer was kicked from their site. Round Rock lost a chunk of its soul that day. Happily, this is not the end of our tale. Our baristas are as persistent as they are talented, and they have found a new location for the Coffee Trailer. Round Rock’s loss is North Austin’s gain. The bad ass coffee drinks are flowing again, and Lucy and Meg are working their magic with a new set of customers on Airport Road. I can’t make it to the Coffee Trailer every day like I used to, but I will make the trip down I-35 as often as I can to support this fantastic little business. To any North Austin coffee-lovers out there: stop by the yellow trailer sitting next to Sideshow Tattoo. You won’t regret it. The espresso drinks can hang with the likes of Medici and Houndstooth, and the baristas will make you feel like a champ.

My thought process as I woke up this morning was something along the lines of, «Ugh…Monday… OH! Monday!» Why the sudden exclamatory shift, you ask? Well for that I must credit my family for boring me into exploring all my iPhone apps last Friday, including the Unilocal application. You see, normally I quickly scan over the«Hot on Unilocal Nearby» category that comes up for my neighborhood because, well there simply isn’t anything all that«hot». But on that fateful Friday I decided to peruse the Restaurant category; and what do I find? THECOFFEETRAILER! I had to wait alllll of Saturday and Sunday to try this cute yellow trailer full of caffeine goodness, but of course it was well worth the wait. I roped my mom into accompanying me on my journey for yums(after all, she was partly credited for the discovery). I must admit, I really had to resist the urge to try the bubble tea. In the end I went with an iced mocha. I was told they were out of Toddy, which immediately sent me into a will-my-coffee-be-watered-down(?!) panic, but the Texas heat convinced me otherwise. As it turns out my coffee wasn’t watered down at all! Fabulous chocolate-y goodness. Now, I’m no expert in coffee(tea is my forte) but I do know when I like something– and I certainly enjoyed this beverage. My mom enjoyed her latte as well. Plus the lady making our drinks was super friendly! Unfortunately this little trailer of joy will be moving– Friday(June 18) is their last day. So come enjoy this location while you can!

These girls are amazing: ambitious, educated, passionate and cute! Obviously, their humble new business venture could be nothing short of amazing! All things aside the quality of the coffee that they serve is out of this world and also from a local vendor. Every drink I have ever ordered from The Coffee Trailer has always been extremely satisfying and overwhelmingly delicious. I was a barista for 4 years in a previous life and these girls know their stuff. What is even more appealing is that they are eager to share their knowledge with anyone willing to listen or express an interest. I am always impressed with the quality, customer service and overall experience every time I visit the Coffee Trailer. I might also add that I live 30 minutes from this cute humble trailer and have never felt that my journey was unjustified. I could easily drive to Starbucks within 2 minutes, but that wouldn’t even come close in comparison to what I would get from Meg and Lucy. Besides, what I spend in gas and on the actual coffee is still less than what I would spend at Starbucks. Way to go girls, keep up the great work… you are destined to succeed!
