These wings are the best! They are«lollipop» wings so all the meat is right at the end. They are easy to eat and always delicious! Sometimes it’s a long wait but guarantee its worth the wait! My favorite flavors are the dry rub Lemon pepper and the dry rub ranch!

My poop might be burning but my god that’s some good chicken! My fave is the ranch on fire… nice and crispy outer layer but oh so tenda’ on the inside!!! They baste it in butter, ranch and a dry rub, then fry to perfection. Seriously. Theres something up with their frying process cause those tata tots was super crisp too… Pretty much the best tots I’ve ever had. In fact, the wings might be too. Oh their wings aren’t typical wings, they’re «lollipops” — but no shit, you saw the pictures!

Best wings in Austin! They’re cut so they’re much easier and much less messier than your typical wing. They’re made to order so they’re sure to be piping hot, let them cool while you have a beer(it is BYOB after all). The garlic parm and sweet chile are PERFECT. Wouldn’t change a thing. The spicy pineapple are good too. The Ranch on Fire are INTENSE! I wouldn’t recommend those or the Holy Schnikes to anyone who’s just looking to enjoy a good wing, rather than burn their taste receptors right off(is that even a thing?). No joke. They won’t only burn your mouth but also your booty. At any rate, 5⁄5. Keep doing what you’re doing Tommy Boy.

Ahhhh. Wings. Ok, so these aren’t really wings. They’re more like drummettes without the obstacles. For me, I prefer the full on wing situation but these are pretty good. We tried the spicy pineapple and the fiery ranch, as well as the tater tots. The fiery ranch were very good but a bit too hot for my taste. The spicy pineapple I imagined differently, but the sauce basically consists of buffalo sauce with pineapple bits added to it. The tater tots were seasoned and really good. Overall, I’d go back but wouldn’t trade them in for the olé’ Pluckers standby.

I don’t even like wings. Tommy Want Wingy made me a fan and these are the only wings I will eat period. My favorites are the garlic parm and the OG. The staff is super great too! They even offered to help me walk my order to the car when I had two bags! Eat here! You will love it.

Yuuuuuuuum! Can’t go wrong with wings. They came not too fast but they were super delicious and the tots were good too. The buffalo was delicious and so were the spicy pineapple ones. The guy from the truck came around the picnick tables and asked if everyone enjoyed their meals: super nice! Will obviously be back.

Best wings in Austin! Great flavors! The holy schnikes is stupid hot. My favorites are the ranch on fire, og, and lemon pepper. I love how they’re cut their wings like lily pops! They take about 15 min or so, but that’s expected when using fresh ingredients.

Tommy Likey! I can get a good look at a T-bone by sticking my head up a bull’s ass, but I’d rather take a butcher’s word for it. Take my word for it, Tommy want Wingy is delicious. Fat guy in a little coooooaaaat.

Ordered a bunch of wings here with my roommate, thought the ranch on fire was too dry, but had a nice heat. They were all good, but nothing spectacular.

Great, great, great wings. Be careful, the middle spectrum flavors also have some pop. These were the juiciest and best wings I’ve ever had. The ranch inspired tots were quite good. Just a little salty. Met owner Neil, along with the cook this night. Friendly guys, good talk. Further enjoyed its location at the So Austin food court by the banana stand. You know there’s always $$ in the banana stand, right?

These guys know what they are doing when it comes to their delicious lollipop wings. I love wings. I thought BDubs and chains like pluckers had good wings, boy was I wrong! Hands down the best wings ever! I tried the Chile Limon and my bf had the buffalo which I had to sneak a bite. Both flavors were on point and even the it had a little snap and burn, I wanted more. The tots were another happy surprise. I got to try them once while on vacation and tried to go back a second time before the drive back home, unfortunately I found them close Saturday early afternoon. I drove back home with a heavy heart until I see these wings agains.

Best wings in Austin, I live way far from here, out by Lake Travis, but if I had to it would be worth the drive. I had the spicy Pineapple and Ranch on Fire. Both were delicious. The Ranch spicy and excellent Ranch dry rub. The spicy Pineapple had an interesting mild sweet flavor to it. I came here after a recommendation from James. H a fellow fried chicken connoisseur, he hit the spot on the spot. The wings are made fresh on the spot and the flavor runs to the bone! I would have picture but I couldn’t wait to indulge maybe next time! I’m looking forward to trying all the flavors!

What an awesome food truck located on south 1st street! I can’t get enough of each little lollipop drummy covered in delicious wing sauce. Several varieties of sauce to choose from. The holy schnike will make you cry! No way around it! Just take it with pride! Wipe those tears, and continue to devour every delicious bite that tickles(and burns) those tastebuds. You have to get the tots. Napoleon dynamite wouldn’t have it any other way. They are so crispy on the outside and soft potato puffs on the inside. I think on Wednesdays they offer $ 1 wings too.

Scrolling through Austin spots on Unilocal and Tommy Want Wingy caught my eye, of course! I just had to come and try the wings while we were in town! Can I just tell you guys — I’m not a fan of buffalo wings but theirs were AMAZING! I loved the nice hot wing flavor with just a slight vinegar taste to it – I usually steer clear from buffalo wings because they are just too vinegary for me. We also ordered the spicy pineapple which was really good, as well. The wings themselves were fall-of-the-bone and perfectly fried before sauced. Also, they were easy to eat because they were in lollipop form! We ordered a side of tots to go with our wings — man, they were addictive! The seasoning on the tots was like crack — you didn’t need the ketchup — they were perfect on their own! I will DEFINITELY be coming back for more — I still want to try the Holy Shnikes, just to see how hot it is!

Excellent. I’m not big on wings because they’re so messy and you’re rewarded very little meat for your trouble. I decided to try this place because of the lollypop style«handle.» I’m glad I did because it was so delicious! We tried the sweet chile, garlic parmesan, and lemon pepper. All were great but the garlic parmesan was the BEST. They seem bigger than your typical wing and had plenty of meat on them. We also had the tater tots… They were hot and perfectly fried with some nice seasoning that tater tots don’t usually have. The rest of my family(7 adults) also had wings & tots, and everyone loved it. Several of us agreed they were the best wings and tater tots we’d ever had.

This is a 5 star wing spot hands down. See the pictures and tell me I don’t speak the truth. WOW — these little giant wings are legit. They are chicken lollipops by Frenching down the bone of the chicken wing. What you get in the end are some succulent, less messy pieces of meat to take to the face. The spicy pineapple is a must with it’s chopped pieces of pineapple thrown into the sauce, the OG is a traditional staple. But… The big guns come out with the Holy Schnikes sauce! Bring your A game and prepare for some heat, not that wimpy fire in the hole sauce at your local Pluckers! The Chili Limon is a delicious rub! Order. The. Tater Tots. — I could just lick the seasoning off each one and be a happy camper. This place is a hidden gem, and it saddens me I haven’t found out about it till now. But that frown will be no more as I will become a regular, and faithful wing chomping customer.

Holy Schnikes! This truck has some killer wings. And this review is in no way biased by the fact that this food truck references my favorite comedy of all time. Purely speaking from a chicken wing lovers’ perspective, the three wing choices we tried were insanely good. Easily the best I’ve had in I don’t know how long. The OG and the Spicy Pineapple varieties were both slightly coated in delicious moist sauces with a hint of heat. I believe Sriracha sauce is one of the ingredients in the OG, but that was only a subtle component to these flavorful wings. While the bits of pineapple mixed into the Spicy Pineapple wings gave them just the right amount of tang to pair with the spice. My favorite was their Ranch on Fire variety which is a dry rub wing. These had a decent kick and in my opinion leave Pluckers’ Spicy Ranch wings in the dust. These crisp wings were so moist and meaty on the inside and not overly greasy like Pluckers’ version. The ranch dust on them also has noticeably more heat with some staying power on the palate — which is a really good thing. All the wings are prepared lollipop style which make them slightly easier to eat than the standard kind. I may need to brave their Holy Schnikes wings the next time, which I’ve heard is their hottest, so I’m sure that’s gonna leave a mark.

So I have to say this is going to be one of my wing«go to’s» now. Hooters move over: P. Definitely fall off the bone as other Unilocalers mentioned. We can all agree, the way someone fries a wing(or anything) can make it or break it. Some restaurants with dry wings(in this case I mean dry seasoned vs wet sauce) taste dry(in this case I mean dry and moist) throughout — all the way to the bone. The wings were fried to a nice crisp and the chicken was still moist underneath. I barely used the ranch sauce — this proves to me I really liked the flavor off the wing itself. Most wing joints I ask for more ranch. Ranch on Fire — offered an ultimate flavor blend of spice and enough ranch on one teeny wing. The ranch flavor almost tastes infused vs just being sprinkled on top. Garlic Parmesan — nice flavor. Lot of parm. I didn’t taste too much of garlic part but I LOVE garlic and like a lot of garlic flavor. Holy Schnikes — oh man this is the perfect name! I only took one bite out of the six we ordered. I like to think I have a high spice/heat tolerance. For example, I don’t remember the ranch on fire being too hot. Whereas when I look at other reviews they say otherwise. This one is the mother. Wet sauce and HOT! …and hot that lingers for a while too. So like the other reviews… yes its pricey for the portion you get. Even on Wednesday(10 for $ 10) it still adds up. We started with 10 and were still hungry so ended up ordering another 10. Tummy wise — we could have still eaten more. But! bonus was we brought our own bottle of wine and some beers — vs paying $ 5 for a beer at any other joint. So in my mind it kind of evens it out. Even with the price, I would go back for the Ranch on Fire. Not as my full meal… maybe if I just needed a snack.
