Would’ve gave 5 stars, but they’re missing a no sugar added flavor for us who don’t like to consume too much sugar or for the diabetics out there.

Tomunchi Frozen Yogurt gets to the point. They know how to make a good frozen yogurt. I have gone to far too many frozen yogurt places that either have too few or too many options for toppings and yogurt flavors. Tomunchi was a great medium. They carry everything from tart yogurt to new york cheesecake. They had a nice array of toppings that included fresh fruits, colorful cereals, and various types of sprinkles. However, they were running very low on a few, popular toppings, which led me to believe that they either down carry enough or they don’t restock on a regular basis. Other than that, I intend to go back if I’m in the area. Whenever you have a frozen yogurt craving, this is a place that will satisfy it for you.

Was diappointed with the lack of variety in toppings… I had been to this place awhile back and remember thinking it was AWESOME. Something has changed. The blueberries weren’t very fresh and there was only fruity pebbles as cereal. Used to have many more options than they do now. But what they had was alright.

I love this place. It’s definitely my go-​to destination for frozen yogurt, bubble tea, and smoothies. It’s close to my place, so convenience is a factor… but it definitely lives up to the good reviews.
The prices are lower than what I’ve paid at other frozen yogurt places. The owners are always there, and they are always so sweet. I’ve always been greeted super enthusiastically, and they make the frozen beverages and smoothies really quickly.
It’s not a big place, but it’s colorful and right next to Wing Stop.
Get the coconut almond blended drink. It’s so good. The Chamango is also amazing. And the fruit tea. I think they have a good selection of frozen yogurt as well. I had great horchata froyo the last time I was there.

Pretty cheap they had the best mango yogurt i had so far, only problem was that mango ran out half way. When I asked for sample, the guy gave me only one little cup.

2 stars for the boba tea and 4 stars for the frozen yogurt
I came here with the intention of boba tea. I ordered a frozen yogurt mixed with mocha boba tea. I could taste the mocha, but that was it. The tea was so watery that it didn’t taste like anything. The frozen yogurt I tried was actually pretty damn good. I didn’t want to have a sugar overload, so I had a small cup of cake batter and horchata yogurt. It was easily one of my top five frozen yogurt experiences. The flavors they offer are so unique and really deliver on the flavor.
I really wanted to enjoy the boba tea, but it was really bad. The frozen yogurt though was a delightful surprise!

My boyfriend came here about two years ago and had a GREAT experience. They had a shaved ice desert with fruit and condensed milk and it was incredibly yummy and fresh. The shaved ice was so even and delicious.
So I tried to take my mom about 4 months ago, and they were closed for some random holiday. Then I tried to come again about 3 months ago with my whole family and they were CLOSED again. Then my family came again tonight, and although they were open they got rid of the shaved ice! All they have now is the basic frozen yogurt and it isn’t not worth the trip. The inside is also not as clean as other Froyo places so it’s not somewhere I would stop even if I was craving frozen yogurt.

Pretty run of the mill frozen yogurt shop. No crazy themes or asian bubble furniture here. Choose from 6 – 9 flavors of frozen yogurt and an assortment of toppings. They have some coffee drinks. Holler!

I came here for Chamango everytime. So addicted to this thing. And the owner is very friendly.

The owners of this place is a Vietnamese couple. They are nice and friendly. We have Golden milk tea with boba, pudding and grads jelly. the taste was great, not too sweet and delicious. High recommend for Unilocalers to come and check out this place.

I love it the different choices of you hurt, most of them Asian style. I’m coming back for sure! :)

The shaved ice here is pretty good. However, for the price (almost 8 $ after tax I think), I expected more toppings. The fruits (strawberry, watermelon, pineapple) were fresh and sweet, the red beans were cooked and seasoned with just the right amount of sugar, and the ice cream was a deliciously creamy vanilla bean flavor. The condensed milk makes all the difference, and we got a pretty generous topping of it.

I LOVE Tomunchi! The owner is super super nice and very personable! I always get the Taro Boba and it is delicious. Their yogurt is really good as well:) The design of the place is really cute and fun. I also really recommend the Milk Tea– it’s amazing. And their shaved ice is Huge and yummy! :) Love this place!

Very clean shop and I love that they have a lot of fresh fruit toppings. From now on though, all I want is the Taro root yogurt with walnuts. Make sure to ask for condensed milk on top, you won’t be disappointed.

Omg… I am completely appalled right now after seeing such high reviews.
I came here because it was bookmarked and I thought after reading the reviews it would be well worth it. I was also very pleased to think that there was a location that had frozen yogurt and all the topping just as good as Yogurtland that was closer to my job. Well you know what they say if it sounds too good to be true it probably is.
I walk in, wow. There is nobody here. On a Friday afternoon/​evening… That already struck me off. But I go in anyway check it out guy behind the counter is okay I suppose. No nice warm friendly greeting. No offer to sample anything… I immediately noticed the selection of yogurt was very minimal 10 I think, and the selection of toppings was also minimal not sure how many but at least half as many as Yogurtland.
Okay, stay positive I tell myself. I go see what they have in the way of yogurt and their flavors, I decided to get a replication of what I created at Yogurtland. And decided to review the actual difference.
I started with a little salted caramel, and got a little pistachio, and got a little cheese cake. I noticed on all three of these as they were coming out they were very thin and flaky, you could tell they were icy… I’m already not appreciating this… But I continue… make my way to the toppings… Uggggh… Everything looks like a cheap version of the decent stuff. But I still attempt to recreate what I had at yogurtland. I pay… A whopping $ 4.68 no receipt. Not even sure how it came out to that. The cup wasn’t even ¹⁄₃ full. But whatever.
Get in my car. And take a bite… Yuck. Really??? The pistachio was clumpy with icy chunks… soft, but clumpy. Tasted like some artificial garbage that came from a jello pudding box. It was gross. And sweet. Too sweet. Moved on to the salted caramel… oh god, again? Gross. It reminded me of a jacked up version of a frappachino or something… Not good. Very icy as well. Move the new york cheesecake. …well slap the shit out of me and call me stupid. Cause I swear… that crap tasted like it had some kind of coconut flavoring in it… like a piña colada or something… It was not happening. At all. The toppings… some cheap peanut butter pieces. They were gross too. Slimy. Cheap. Graham cracker was just sweet… No flavor. You could tell it was cheap.
The thing started to melt… Hell I’m not eating it. Of course its going to melt!!! Problem here??? Yes… because it was like water. Yes. Water. Which easily explains the icyness I got from it to begin with.
All in all… It was gross. Sweet. Cheap. Not in price, in quality. Will I go back? NOPE. Sure won’t. I brought that crap home and showed hubs… he frowned and said «What the hell is that»? I know right… gross huh? I told him it was yogurt, he said «that can’t be from the same we went to the other day???» Lol… oh no babe. Not a chance. Yogurtland is MUCH better. It is REAL yogurt. Not fake icy crap.
I’m so VERY DISAPPOINTED…

This place is so good! You can tell by the attention to detail when they craft your drink that they’re very passionate about what they do. Their bubble yea, aka boba milk tea, is made fresh, powder free. The chamango is delicious! Highly recommend.

This is a hidden gem. It’s family owned and they are the sweetest people. The owner makes your specialty drinks and always has a smile on his face.
They offer froyo, shaved ice, and bubble tea drinks.
Try the Chamango if you want a salty and sweet drink! It’s amazing!

This froyo tasted off to me. I still ate it all because it was hella expensive but I found myself thinking of all the other froyos I love. I guess kinda like saying an ex’s name, right?
The fruit was good, the flavors were sparse and almost all non-​fat. I think that was what was wrong with the yogurt. It was icy and non-​fat in the bad way. Like non-​fat cream cheese…
I did think the owner was very nice, to give credit where credit’s due.

The biggest plus factor for me is the Boba teas are a nice 24oz+
Too many Boba tea joints give you 16oz cups full of ice and it’s gone in 2 seconds.

I remember Sunday mornings growing up, when, on very special occasions, we would go for family breakfasts at the local IHOP or Howard Johnsons for pancakes. I have fond memories of those times with family. But years later, I had my first order of pancakes at places like Kerbey or Mags and tasted what I was missing.
That’s kind of what I think of when I think of Tomunchi.
When Tomunchi opened a few years ago, it filled a froyo void in north Austin, and led the early wave of friendly neighborhood yogurt shops. Now that we live in the ’27, it is OUR neighborhood yogurt shop. But, as new places bring in design themes, comfortable seating to make it easier to enjoy the ever-​present free wifi, more flavors, and three times the toppings, Tomunchi seems to be stuck in the past.
What it DOES do is:
— have one of the cheapest prices around, at $.39 per ounce
— carry the ubiquitous «California yogurt shop» array of tart + taro + lychee flavors, so if those are your thing…
— two words: lychee jelly topping
— have the flavors each day listed on their website, to avoid surprises
Tomunchi seems to value firmness over smoothness, which can be icier than we like. Some of the newer places do a better job showing allergen info. Each spout had a little bit dripped down from prior customers, while the other places we go to seem to clean that up quite frequently.
Tomunchi, when the wife tells me to head to another place, despite the higher price or distance, when she needs her froyo fix, that’s what I’m going to do.
