I’d give this place zero stars if I could. This place will not be on my list and won’t ever get money out of my pocket. Too many kids in this place, the people that work there think they own the entire 6th street. I swear this place had an occupancy limit and the night I went they were way over their limit. Too many people, There was no place to stand so you were not in anyone’s way. The guy rolling the trash can around was on his rag because he couldn’t roll his trash can smoothly across the hall on a busy night. They don’t know how to treat people, they are so disrespectful. The guys at the door too are perverts! I watch everything and what they said to girls walking in was uncalled for. And to top it off I smelled weed right when I walked in… I’m crossing my fingers that someone is watching this place closely and pretty soon they are going to close down just like kiss and fly. I’m pretty sure there doing some illegal stuff!

Absolutely never again will I step into this trashy bar. I was brought here on a Sunday night with a friend and I just felt beyond uncomfortable and out of place. The bar is pretty big itself, a front area and a back area(the smoking area). Both areas had their own bar. The bartender in the back was very polite and quick to serve – I wish I had his name because he was the only good thing about this place. The bar itself was CRAWLING with college kids getting wasted – totally not my scene. A ton of rap and hip hop music being played – also not my scene. I was confused with wether this place was a club or a bar. At one point it became overly crowded without any room to even move around. The older guys that were there were just seemed pretty creepy and desperate – and don’t know a thing or two about respecting ones own space. To top it off, the bathrooms were horrendous! It was a hell Of a battle I put up trying to leave the bathroom without a piece of toilet paper stuck to my shoes. Nope, never again.

Free drinks! Hot Guys! and whole lotta fun! My girlfriends and I were approached by the door guy and said that our first drink was on the house so of course me being the only non-college broke girl my friends said yes! The bartender was Josh, handsome guy btw he served our free drinks and since it was still quite early he was chatting with us. The next round was on another of my girlfriends and bought 4 shots including one for Josh which he gladly did with us. After going to several other bars down 6th street we came back again for both the drinks and the scenery. I will admit we enjoyed this place very much and look forward to coming back in our next convention/random 6th st bar hop!

HORRIFIED!!! I was touched inappropriately by the door man or it was the door mans friend i couldn’t tell if he worked there. He grabbed the side of my body right under my breast! I let a gasp out very loudly!!! I’m a very sensitive person i don’t even drink. I was on six that night for band and was with friends when my friend asked what happened i told her«that man touched me». The door man insisted that i was lying and kept saying“he did not touch you” he said«you’re drunk» i said«he grabbed me sir» the doorman then looked at me and said«man here» and told me to leave. i couldn’t believe how rude he was to me i can still feel that mans hands on me and it makes me want to vomit. you can’t treat customers like cattle. I’ve worked i bars even strip clubs and I’ve never been grabbed like that. hopefully i can talk to a manger and get some answers

Last night my daughter was stabbed in this bar!!! The bouncers/door men threw out the fat a** that jumped my daughter then asked my daughter and her friends to leave also even though they were the ones attacked. No one called the police or the EMS and my daughter ended up in the ER for 5 hours and had to have 32 stitches!!! I am notifying TABC about this incident because I am sure they won’t follow proper protocol and do so. I am a local Austinite with a BIGMOUTH!!! I am going to warn EVERYONE I know about this bar!!!

DONOTUSEYOURCREDITCARDHERE! The female«bodybuilder» bartender was working, along with a couple others. While I was in there, the service was ok and the margarita was ok. My problem now is that I looked at my credit card statement and I was charged a $ 5.00 tip on a $ 5.75 order. I gave a $ 1.25 tip, since I felt that was good enough for 30 seconds of work. Now I tried to call them and their number is disconnected. Granted, paying an extra $ 3.75 won’t send me to the poor house, but I dislike honest people! If you must go here, pay in cash(and I wouldn’t even recommend tipping after shenanigans like this!).

Awesome time at this bar on Friday. As newbies to Austin, we’re trying to explore everything, not just the well known 6th Street area. Walker was amazing, attentive, and answered all of our questions and gave us great suggestions of other locations. He was very knowledgeable about their(few) craft beers, and made an awesome cherry mash! 6th Street is definitely not my thing but I would definitely go back here.

This is the spot. Nice and live bar on 6th. There is a bathroom attendant. He keeps the restroom fresh and hands you paper towels and provides cologne. Since I been to Texas this is the first time I have seen anything like this since NYC. THISMIGHTBEMYNEWAUSTINSPOT. Good drink specials and a live DJ. VAPE friendly.

Omg. This place was raunchy as f. Ended up in this scary place with some friends, trying to meet up other friends. Not one part of me felt comfortable in this place. What is it even? A club? A bar? I don’t know. It’s dirty and filled with dirty people. I would’ve never come to this bar by choice. And I’m happy to say I’ll never be back.

My favorite bar on dirty 6 — Always come here to see Josh who works out back on the patio; Best bartender I’ve ever had honestly… Remembers everything I drink so I never have to ask! Plus, he’s also nice to look at :)

Didn’t go at a very busy time(Wed around 9 – 10), but got great pours of basic drinks for pretty cheap. Good first stop of your pub crawl.

Uh, the kind of people can really vary depending on what night you go & it’s usually not my style. If you’re wanting to fist pump & get wasted, this is your best choice on 6th. There are these green/blue drinks in mason jars that they’re known for and although I cannot tell you what is in them(because I don’t know), they’re sweet & get you reaaaaaaaal drunk. I know that they usually will make any mixed drink you want in their mason jars. Josh, the bartender usually at the front, is super quick & attentive. I can’t even keep up with how fast his hands were moving mixing drinks & shots!

Wandered in during the heat of Pecan Street Festival on Saturday afternoon. The guy on the sidewalk out front enticed me by yelling, «We have air conditioning blowing in your face!» Since it was 95 °F it didn’t take much to twist my arm. He also mentioned $ 2 beers and $ 3 Margaritas:) The bartender acknowledged me right away, was friendly and welcoming. I can’t speak to what a busy Saturday night experience would be, it was a nice place to stop in for a beer on a hot Saturday afternoon. And the bathrooms were clean, relative to other places on sixth street:)

So I’ve never seen Jersey Shore(seriously, i refuse) but I would imagine this place is pretty representative of their entire life. Pumping music, drinks in mason jars, lots of gel, hair bleach, piercings, men gathered around against the wall apprising women, people with a serious addiction to fake baking, big breasted spike heel wearing 20 somethings strutting about or dancing wildly. The one redeeming or damning factor: Mason Jars full of drink. You can order your cocktail of choice in a big ass mason jar. It’s amazing and appalling. I mean, if one drrrty sixth bar is just like another, then you might as well go to a place with 32oz of cocktails in one handy jar. This includes a jar of long island for $ 5. All the booze you can handle, bro. Note: Gotta mention their bathrooms: They had toilet paper, plenty of stalls and they weren’t malodorous unlike most bars in that area.

My experiences here are never anything less than extraordinary, and I can be found at this bar at LEAST once a day on an given trip to Austin. Even though Toulouse is located amidst the craziness on 6th it always has a relaxed atmosphere and strong cheap drinks! When you walk in there is a long stretch of bar leading to the back where you will find both a downstairs bar area, and an outdoor patio with bar. Downstairs is an additional bar area to retreat to when the rowdy drunks starts stumbling in later in the night & linger in the front, ultimately resulting in a fraternity party atmosphere reeking of testosterone. If you’re into that scene by all means enjoy, but thankfully not many people even notice there is a downstairs, much less venture down there, so you always have alternative. I am a fan of anything outside with a view of the night sky & fresh air, so my favorite is the back patio. Has a back alley feel with its tall stone walls, balconies overhead, & bikes hanging along the upstairs walls. An open night sky above you & a waterfall cascading down the wall lend to this place’s great atmosphere, & the mist from the waterfall is actually refreshing when you’ve been out drinking all night. Bench seating lines walls to sit and watch the drunk girls dance to R. Kelly remixes & Notorious BIG. always entertaining. All day & until fairly late at night is $ 2 stout well drinks & shots, & $ 5 large mason jars filled with your favorite liquor, long islands, or any of their original drink combos they offer. Later at night prices increase to $ 4 wells & $ 8 mason jars, but I rarely am around for the price increase. Not sure about beer [rices, since I never order it here. Over all, great place to stop in for a drink or 7 if you pass by, well worth the stop.

Nice bar with a very chill vibe. The crowd didn’t tip the scales too much for douches or hipsters. Drinks were pretty average priced. I did enjoy their smoking patio with a large waterfall cascading down the wall illuminated by blue lights. Very relaxing sound to smoke to.

Good if you’re in your early 20’s looking for action, love loud music, loud crowds and waiting in line to get a beer. If you’re in your 30’s you should be ashamed to show your face here. Time to grow up!

The best part of this pub is the back patio that looks like an enclosed alley. When you are standing in the back patio, you can look up to see the night sky. I love seeing the night sky here! Compared to other bars, the back patio of Toulouse and seeing the sky makes the pub feel more open or Harry Potter-like bc you are surrounded by stone walls on all sides. The back patio also has its own bar, its own wooden bench seating, and its own music that is different from the rest of the pub. When I was there with my friends the first time, it was cold weather and we loved it! The music was good, and the weather was good. I learned later on from an employee that when the weather is cold, the roof would be completely open and the water contraption they have in that area would be turned off. Then, when it’s hot weather, they would close part of the roof, have water running on one side of the wall, and the fan blowing to keep everything cool. I’ll definitely check it out again to see if the sky is open…
