this food is ridiculously good they hooked it with the nachos and frido pie we expected something small i’m a bag for frido pie but got a monster hook on that not in a bag i may say so if you crave a beer and some of the most delicious foods in austin come here they care about what they serve that’s all a customer wants

Told the cashier that I have celiac disease and gluten is an allergy and asked if the nachos were gluten free(probably the only thing I could eat on the menu). He said yes and took our order. When the food came out, we started eating and both of our items were ice cold. My friend had a burger and tots and the patty was warm but tots seemed like they had been made a while ago and left to sit without a heat lamp. My nachos had unmelted cheese on them and when I took a bite, I realized that they also had a cheese sauce(which sometimes contains gluten). I went to the pick-up window and asked the guy there if the nacho cheese was gluten free and he didn’t know. The cashier said«oh, I wouldn’t trust them. I would get the buffalo wrap».(SIDENOTE — WRAPSARENTGLUTENFREE) WHAT?!? I just asked him when I ordered!!! I said«look, I just need to know if the cheese is gluten free. I already ate it so I guess I’ll know in a bit but I don’t want to finish them if they aren’t». He told me it was velveeta so I googled it and it seemed like I was in the clear.(Cross contamination is another issue since he never told cook that I had an allergy — but I didn’t get sick so all is good) I waited for the line to dissipate and walked back up to finish our convo. I told him that I looked up the cheese and it is gluten free but I was frustrated with how that whole thing went down. I’m a chef and I deal with allergies every day and they aren’t something to mess with. Then he said«you’re a chef and you don’t know if velveeta is gluten free?» Excuse me? This guy was a real piece of work. We talked for a couple more minutes and it went nowhere. The guy cooking backed away and never said a word and let this fool showcase some of the worst customer service I’ve seen in a while. If I could give it zero stars, I would. Horrible food and worse employees.

The fried pickles r ok. To much fried not enough pickle. If the pickles were bigger cut they would be amazing.

First: 21+ with ID checkers since it is in Moontower Saloon, so typically no kids around. This really improved the bar vibe Wish I could give it higher than a 4 but it didn’t quite earn the five*. Bottom line though — from the venue to the food it was G-O-O-D. Vintage Austin blues & booze outside venue with an absolutely great band(Thursday night — 8÷20÷15) Onto the food: don’t expect this to be some gourmet burger. You aren’t going to enjoy it if you do. This thing is a mean, sloppy, ol’ fashioned style burger. Expect it to be a touch salty and greasy. But in the most delicious way possible. Enjoyed this more than I ever have a Hopdoddy burger after a 30 – 45 minute wait. $ 9 total for a burger with avocado and mushrooms added, and a side of Cajun Tots. Bonus: it’s in the Austin passbook and there are beach volleyball courts!

It was a little on the expensive side, but you’re paying for convenience. I had a pretty good burger and tots, but the kid overcharged me. Meh, I was half in the bag, it’s whatever LOL. Don’t make a special stop just for this, go for the music to moontower and if you get hungry you can get your snack on.

Located right in the middle of Moontower Saloon. I haven’t tried their burgers or sandwiches yet but they look great and people seem to like them. This review is all about the Lugnuts. Pepper jack cheese balls wrapped in bacon and deep fried served with ranch dressing. Goes great with a cold beer. A little pricey however, you get only 4 of them for $ 5 and they’re about the size of a ping pong ball. The onion rings too were also fantastic and you get a full basket for only 4 bucks. Also pairs great with a cold beer. The food comes out fast and everything is made to order. We’ll be back to try the burgers for sure.

We found this food truck at Moontower. It was sxsw, cold, and this was the only truck open. The burgers looked big so we decided on sharing one. I wish they offered jalapeños dammit! They’re currently cash only, but you can get a cash advance at the bar. Haha. The guy seemed overwhelmed, grumpy, or irritated when I ordered. The cheeseburger with bacon was solid. It came with fried tater tots. I’ve never liked tots because I hated the soggy school cafeteria ones, but these were really good. They were crispy and spiced with Cajun seasoning.
