Ordered a beef/lamb kebap. You no longer carry corn or grilled veggies. I would have left but you already squirted sauce all over it. I don’t like to waste food so I paid you the $ 8, went home and fed it to my dog. I wont be back cause of the omitted items and well… that sucks. nice remodeling by the way, even though i hate communal seating.

Staff are awesome and seem to really enjoy their job. Food is always great. Now that I’m cutting fast food from my diet, I look forward to seeing all these fantastic people working here more often.

Delicious doesn’t even begin to cover it. I’m not a big veggie person, so mine are usually just beef and lamb, feta and red sauce in the kebap bread. I live for the red sauce. In a world of awful fast food, this place is quick and amazing. Not to mention I’ve never met a miserable employee. Everyone I’ve ever been served by has been beyond charming and friendly.

I really like this chain since the only place I can get something close to a gyro is the mall(no thanks, malls are nuts this time of year). The staff has always been very friendly, cordial and funny. As for the food, I enjoy it since it follows the Freebird’s burrito model(or what most would know as Subway, it’s just better here). I can have my sandwich customized the way I like and not worry about the«purity» of what a real gyro to those who are critical. I think I’ll be eating here more often lose a bit of weight thanks to the vegetables they offer in my favorite sandwich they do, chicken.

This place is not really a «culinary experience» but it is a reliably quick and delicious meal. I developed a taste for schwarma during my travels through Europe — they were a great way to end late night hunger. While VertsKeabap can’t compete with the experience of ordering a gyro from a random stand and then eating as you’re walking down some cobblestone street, the food here is arguably more delicious than the stuff in Europe because of the options and the fresh ingredients. I started going here because I’d often try to grab a burger at Hopdoddy’s for dinner only to be frustrated by the long wait. But the place is won me over and now I sometimes drive out this way just for VerstKebap. Friendly service, great food.

Need a quick, healthy lunch option? It is hard to do better than Verts. Their full sized kebap is a monster-sized portion that filled me up(and I’m a big guy, 6’6″ and 260lbs). These guys consistently have the freshest veggies I’ve yet encountered in a build-your-own format restaurant. Always get the garlic sauce and thank me later.

I am extremely disappointed by Verts discontinuing their vegie patties. This used to be my husband and my ‘go to’ place around the Hill Country Galleria. No we can’t go there because there are no REAL vegie options that work for us. We used to go there at least once a week. No more visits for us until vegie patties return. Sad and Disappointed!

The 5 star rating is because of what it is, which is: just about the best«fast food» you can get in Austin. I’m there… oh, maybe weekly? Peel yourself away from Subway: this is the crown jewel of «build your own sandwich» in Austin. I credit the guys who brought kebap to Austin with seeing and filling an amazing niche with panache and constant experimentation. They’re always adding new sides, fillings, bits of business model. The sandwich, if you haven’t had one, is a rotisserie beef/lamb blend(you can see the layering on the colossal rotating arm of roasting meat behind the counter) that just couldn’t be better seasoned for the stuff you’re getting ready to put on top of it. Sandwich creation operates like a Subway — you can choose from bell peppers, jalapenos pickled or fresh, red cabbage, lettuce or spring mix, or for those who truly like it Mediterranean, feta, cucumbers, and olives. I’m not sure actually on the olives — I never get them, because at this place, the attraction isn’t Mediterranean, it’s Texan. They’re going to ask you for a sauce both before and after the toppings. Do yourself a favor — house sauce and spicy red, and for your toppings, bell pepper, jalapeño, bit of lettuce, cucumber. You’ll thank me. Does it leave a bit to be desired? Maybe. Not a whole lot. They haven’t yet figured out«their» side item(not that you need one, sandwiches the size they are). They tried fries, which aren’t amazing, and I think you can get falafel these days. The falafel makes more sense than the fries, but still doesn’t quite feel… side-y. But really: best lunch you can possibly buy that you don’t have to sit down for. Make it a weekday haunt.

Being from out-of-town, I wanted to check out Dragon’s Lair comic shop. So my dear friends drove me there and then to grab a quick lunch at VertsKebap right next door before I departed back to Ohio. My pals had talked up this place a bit by saying things like, «You like falafel, right?» and, «They have decent vegetarian options.» So I really had no idea what kind of treat awaited me. There was a short line, so they had time to explain the setup during the small wait. I ordered a falafel kebap and we got an order of fries to share between the three of us. Oh, and an iced coffee, as one friend swore it was one of the best she’d ever had(spoiler: it was super tasty). And without any kind of wait, we had our food and were seated and ready to devour the most delicious lunch. It kept me full throughout an entire day of traveling, which was a nice bonus. My friends explained VertKebap’s origin story, which was really cool. I loved how fresh everything tasted, how friendly the staff is, and the entire vibe of the place. The only thing it left me wanting was for a location in Cincinnati.

Verts is a go-to for my husband and myself when we want something quick, easy, delicious AND healthy. Oh, and cheap. :) Their house & spicy red sauces — mix em up & enjoy! Their beef & lamb is delicious — I usually order that with a salad. They give you plenty of veggies and you’ll leave full and happy.

I loved my Kebap of lamb/beef, mixed baby greens, tomatoes, cucumber, feta cheese, original and vinaigrette sauces. The BF was less thrilled with his spicy lamb/beef Kebap and thought the bread was a little dry. Service was fast and I enjoyed my PearlSnap. I will be coming back.

I went here this week and had a falafel kebap and fries. I like that you can pick ask of your veggie toppings and everything looks very fresh. It all tasted very good and minus the fries it’s a great place to go for a healthier/lighter option. Being a dietitian, I always love when restaurants post how many calories are in at least some of their menu items because it helps me to make healthier decisions in a sea of oversized portions you tend to find at most American restaurants. They had a neat selection of sauces and we got to pick extra for our fries too. This place was spot on for my expectations. The food, service and atmosphere were all really good but at the same time nothing that I would go way out if my way to go try. I also saw they have good drink specials and beer on tap so it would be a nice chill place to hang out with some friends during the week.

A very good experience that I think(and hope) will be a great one next time. I spent most of the ‘90s either living in or visiting Australia. During that time, I consumed a few gazillion Aussie doner kebabs and have been searching for their equivalent ever since I made it back to the U.S. The Aussie doner kebab that was my 2 am staple(don’t judge) was a wrap with flatbread used to house sliced beef & lamb, grilled onions, tabouli, lettuce and tomatoes, with yogurt and chili sauces amping up the flavors. My VertsKebap was thus very similar: Wrap in a tortilla, beef&lamb, tomato, cucumber, fresh onion and spring mix greens with the house and hot sauces. I also ordered some fries that were freshly made while I waited. The staff were courteous and extremely efficient. My kebap and fries were available for me to take home in just a few minutes. After unwrapping the kebap, I discovered that the tortilla was not grilled(note: I never asked them to do it, so shame on me). I quickly grilled the kebab until the sides were crispy and enjoyed a taste that was very similar to the after-closing time Aussie staple. Fresh veggies, the meat had good flavor and the sauces were very tasty. The fries were fresh and addictive. I will be back and I will ask the staff to grill the tortilla after the kebap has been assembled. If they do, they will be seeing me on a regular basis!

After living in Texas for a year now, I finally made it to Verts! I always hear about how great it was but the whole idea of Death by Franchise always scared me. I went down to Verts around 7pm for dinner and I couldn’t be happier. I ordered the regular Beef & Lamb kebap with all the veggies an Hot /House Sauce. The kebap is massive and plenty of food to fill you up. There was so much amazing flavor in their between the two sauces and all the fresh cut meat right off the grill. I would love to come back and try some of the other sauces and for the price, its a great and relatively healthy meal. Great job Verts and not letting the size of your restaurant effect your food

I think I annoyed my husband to death by the amount of times I exclaimed how awesome this place was.(Sorry Not Sorry) Let me break it down. As a person both Gluten free and counting calories, asking about nutrition info is always incredibly annoying, and usually cannot be given. Verts solved for this awesomely by having all the nutritional info, as well as gluten free and vegan options posted ONTHEWALL! So you skip all those annoying questions and and make delicious choices for yourself. Also, Lamb + Beef is a meat option. Mixed mushroom s and red peppers were added for free. The disturbingly creamy sauces turned out to be healthy and made with greek yogurt(calorie crisis averted), and when I had questions about calories, 2 different folks came over to help me. The salad was the bomb. I will be back.

Its VertsKebap! Better than a gyro, more agile than your normal burrito bowl. Its the Kebap! Sure its bread not a tortilla, but the way its pressed super thin and flat who cares?! The meats are shaved off the big cones of meat like a gyro, and the chicken is by far my favorite here. Its juicy and tender and seasoned well. One thing they have down are their sauces, from original, to garlic, spicy red to hot! All tasty and none will leave you with that burnt to hot finish. They even sell the hot by the jar now :) Local beers and lots of kambucha kind of drinks are available. I tend to just go for water or beer. Oh and soda’s for you sugary people. They have snack sized portions and thats probably what I should get, I always end up getting the normal and it turns into 2 meals. Great food, fun people, clean looking restaurant. Go give the chicken a try and wash it down with something local and boozy.
