Food is incredible no doubt about it. We went with a few friends the other day and the manager was incredibly rude. Usually at all the other Verts that we went to they put the sauces before toppings and after, He said he would do it «just this time» and wouldn’t have done it for us if they were busy. Honestly the only thing hat kept me from walking out was that the food was good. He also didn’t hear my friend say that he wanted the veggies mushrooms and made a huge deal about putting both. If I go inside and see him I will surely be waking out.

I took my daughter to Verts a couple of months ago and we both loved it. At first i felt a bit out of place because I didn’t know exactly what they served. We just wanted to try it out as something«different» from the usual. I’m glad we did. The guy behind the counter took his time and explained the kebap to us. The ingredients looked fresh and they even have german-style sodas if that’s what you prefer. Prices were reasonable and overall taste was fantastic. We will definitely make a return visit.

Today was the first time I came to Vert’s for lunch. I usually come in for a late dinner and I’ll probably only come for dinner for now on. I didn’t mind having to wait for chicken since they didn’t have it ready. But I did mind that the GM was quite patronizing about the whole thing. He repeated himself using the words, «like I said» and«I told you.» he literally made me feel like I’m burdening them over the damn chicken. Like I should have ordered something else instead of waiting for the chicken. I didn’t even say anything about waiting– I was totally fine with waiting. I just wanted a chicken kebap. I also ordered large fries which were cold by the time I got to the end of the line to pay since there was 7 people ahead of me. That made me really sad, because I love vert’s fries and they didn’t meet the consistency I’ve come to love from Vert’s. From now on, I’ll just stick with the stoner night crew to make my kebaps.

After long days, I like to have a falafel kebap for dinner. My office has an endless supply of «Buy One, Get One 50% Off» coupons so I always get two kebaps – one to eat in and another to go. The staff is always friendly and patient. The sweet potato fries are tasty and make me feel like I’m eating healthier stuff than regular fries(even if they’re still fried in oil and high heat, etc…) Aside from the three huge falafels in the kebap, the rest of the vegetable ingredients seem pretty healthy. Even the meats available look light and aren’t dripping in grease.(I’ve never gotten a meat here so my opinion is solely based on appearance.) The nutritional information is provided – kebaps here seem like one of the healthiest fast foods one can eat in Austin. At only around 500 calories each, they’re low-calorie compared to hamburger joints, Chipotle, etc… They’d get a fifth star if the fountain drink machines had healthier options. I like the map of Western and Central Europe painted on the wall. I don’t like the compact car parking spots along the side of the restaurant, but that’s not their fault. There are still plenty of normal-car-sized parking spots in the parking lot. VertsKebap is in the cluster of stores with Capital One bank, Xian Sushi and Noodle, MOD Pizza, and Torchy’s Tacos.

I was first in this Verts location several months ago and was originally not impressed. The room was smokey and the staff was not welcoming at all. I stopped in again at this location on 11⁄19 and it was completely the opposite. I was thoroughly impressed with the staff, environment and the food. Everyone was warm and friendly. The new recommended topping combinations are awesome. I will definitely be back.

I eat here a few times a month. Great kabap. I really like the chicken one and the spicy red sauce is exception. I always get sweet potatoes fries. Usually crispy. I eat them with the spicy red sauce. It would be great it they opened one of these in Round Rock.

Love the concept and the lamb/beef kebap. I still yearn for lamb only but they keep saying it’s because the price of lamb is too high. I just don’t buy that. Service is iffy. Sometimes the guys are stoned and you see it. Sometimes they’re just lazy. The counters need a good dusting and they are usually dirty. Thank goodness the staff where plastic gloves when serving up the kebabs which are truly delicious. Great for lunch. Wouldn’t go here for dinner unless I was seeing a movie, that sort of dinner.

Worst ever! Walked in no one greeted me for about 3 mins, guess the manager was too busy eating! An employee finally came out«oh so how can I help you». I asked for mushroom and onions mix during dinner, pretty ridiculous that a standard item wasn’t available. The food line was covered in food debris and pretty nasty. Some major details need to be attended to at this restaurant.

Tidy up. I ended up throwing the food without eating after I saw the hygiene of the place. The utensils holder is greasy and dirty. The benches have food particles embedded in them. I could not trust the kitchen hygiene after looking at all this. TIDYUP.

I’ve enjoyed at least 4 meals at this location in the Mueller Market District. Each time has been good. I like to order the lamb with almost all the extras on the spring mix. As I side I get the felafal. And for the kids, I get a lot of their fries. At first I came here because this is a local start-up recently opened by a group of UT Austin grads, but now I come because the food really is consistently fresh, and healthy… thanks VERTS!

Service is really slow and the restaurant needs to be cleaner; seems understaffed. The food taste great though, no complaints here.

This was my first time here. It was so good! I had a chicken kabab topped with fresh veggies and house sauce. It was fabulous! My husband and son loved the lamb! Don’t be afraid to dig in and get messy because this kabab is worth it!

We ventured in here when the place we were going to eat lunch at was too packed but, I have wanted to try this place for a while! The parking in this lot is a nightmare so, I would recommend parking at HEB and walking over. The interior isn’t anything to write home about; just your standard quick serve ambiance. It’s like an assembly line of sandwiches or salads, much like subway! Since it was our first time we didn’t really know how it worked but we were on our own to figure it out as the employees didn’t ask if we had dined with them before and then offer us an explanation. I ordered a Kebap with beef and lamb and then added a little lettuce, cucumber, onion and topped it with the garlic sauce. It was nice that they put sauce on first and top it at the end again. I think this is the only thing that saved my sandwich from being so dry that I threw it away. That being said, I was very disappointed with the meat because I was thinking it would be juicy due to the cooking process and that lamb was in the combination. It was very dry and not very flavorful. The bread was decent but, coupled with the dry meat, it didn’t help. The veggies were nice and fresh and that was a plus. They do have a nice bottled beverage selection. I also sampled a French fry from my friends place and they were decently seasoned and fried well. Overall I was disappointed but, after speaking to some other Unilocalers I found out that they swear by some of the other locations. Maybe I will venture to another location to try it again.

A Kebap! It’s like a sandwich, right? I sincerely have no idea what it is walking in… so I get the option. A Kebap, a Wrap, or a Salad. Well; I’ve heard the other terms, so I’ll try something new. A Kebap it is! I ordered the beef and lamb, and was a little disappointed that it’s 5% lamb, and 95% beef according to the employees. But whatever. A beef kebap. It works like the traditional sandwich places where you go down the line and put what you want on it. Ok, so 2 sauces, spring mix, tomatoes, cucumbers… sounds like a plan! Fries? No. Falafel? Nah, I’m good. So then I go to checkout. No drinks, no sides. Total? $ 9. FREAKING $ 9 for a sandwich looking thing. And I’m sorry if it’s not a sandwich. But typically, if there are 2 pieces of bread, meat, cheese, and other condiments inside… it’s a sandwich. I’m not griping about the food. The food was awesome, the employees were nice enough, and the speed of service was decent. But for the price? No thanks. Not unless it comes with sides/etc for free. Call me a cheapskate or whatever, but I can go to the 2 neighboring restaurants and get 2x as much for $ 9. OK, that’s it! I’d say go here if you want to try it out, but I won’t be making it a regular spot.

I enjoyed my «Red Hot» Kebap. Overall, it was hearty and filling with a good crunch of fresh vegies. The meat could have been a lot more flavorful, but overall it was fine. It was easy to order and we got our food very fast even on a Friday at peak lunch time.

The kebab is a classic Middle Eastern meal which is very popular in Germany. The large Turkish minority make fantastic food and that experience was the motivation for this chain. You get a choice of meats(lamb, beef, chicken) or veggie in a type of flatbread. The«sandwich» is loaded with your choice of veggies, cheese and other sides and topped with sauce(they have many varieties). They also have suggested mixes of toppings which will help the first time visitor. The meat is very good and the flatbread is fairly close to what they serve in Germany(where the Kebab has become a staple in large cities). If you have never tried a Kebab, I highly recommend Verts. If you have then come here expecting to try something a little different. It is close to the Berlin Kebab that inspired it but not quite the same. Overall, very a good lunch place with friendly staff and a relaxed environment! I did not give it 5 stars only because it is not quite as good as the«original» in Berlin. :)

I’ve quickly become addicted it all. Chicken or beef and lamb, salad/wrap/kabap. Great service with the manager always happy, upbeat and having a great attitude. I get it a little spicy with the jalapeño and basaltic sauce. Fried are also great. Couple beers on tap and they keep them taste and cold.

Great service; nice folks but if I’m going to spend $ 10+ for just friendly service sans food I can think of other places to drop a ten. A cautionary tale y’all… In short, I got terribly sick from this place. Hygienic standards seem to be less than desirable here as judged from the bruises on my knees from kneeling all night infront of the porcelain throne. Indeed, after stumbling white-faced to my class today two of my students also told me that they too got sick from this place. $ 10 to complement a 10 hour yak attack; dehydration; chills; an exhausted body and a night of sleep lost… oh my…

VertsKebap has taken Austin by storm, with its approachable fare that focuses on this funky blend of Turkish/Berlin-based sandwiches and wraps. Inside these canvases, you will find chicken, beef/lamb, falafel, and veggie patties. To seal the deal, fresh veggies and an abundance of sauces round out the menu. The concept at VK nails down Austinites to a tee – we love our options, yet desire a little foreign flare in terms of flavor and delivery. Additionally, a couple craft beers and local beverages are needed. Setting up shop in Mueller, this newest outpost affords the growing neighborhood a quick, trendy option for grub. At the least, a change-up to the norm of HEB for happy hour or Torchy’s for their queso… though guacamole would be a nice touch on a doner kebap.

They had a clean facility. The food tasted fresh and I got to see them make it in front of me. The customer before me was pressed up against the glass and poking his head over the top. Perhaps they should think about adding more to the glass for gross customers like the guy before me? I had a small fries and the their house made veggie patty regular size. It was my first time and next won’t have them put sauce on the top and bottom of the sandwich.
