I got so excited that they had a gluten free option! It was decent, but not worth $ 18.

By far, THEBESTPIZZA I’VEHADINTEXASBYFAR. Detroit style, it’s a style that’s Sicilian, but with a twist. I felt that this pizza is way much cheesy and sauce dollups on the top. However, that’s what it made perfect for me. At times, I thought I was eating chessy bread, but, made in a oh so special way that really differentiated it from that. Came here with a friend on a Saturday to satisfy our hungers, and I have always wanted to try this place. Surprised that we found it inside a bar on Rainey St.; having not gone on Rainey before I didn’t know it was in a good, upscale area of Downtown Austin. I got the fan’s favorite, The Detroiter. And man oh man, I could probably go and get another square cut out of this pizza. It is so good for the taste buds, and it really allows you to taste a little of everything in the pie. I would be so excited to take all my east coast friends here and show them that there is good pizza to be gotten everywhere you go.

Craft Pride is a great bar with an amazing selection of beer. It was cold that night, maybe in the 40s, and it was weird because they kept the front door open and there wasn’t any heat on inside. We were cold! A huge perk of this bar is that they have a VIA313 pizza food truck parked in their backyard. We ordered the Omnivore: mushroom, onion, green pepper, sausage, and pepperoni. The guy who took our order recommended adding arugula on top — that was a great tip. The pizza is Sicilian style — rectangular and deep crusts. The pizza was great. I loved the cheesy crust.

I really loved this place when I went! Had grabbed a great craft beer, and this pizza was a match made in heaven for it. I think my favorite of the ones my group tried was the meatball pizza. Sounded SO weird when we ordered it, but it was delicious. Had never eaten a Detroit style pizza before, but it’s a square-ish pizza with deliciously crunchy crust that is a little thicker and fluffy. So delicious.

This place has a fun vibe on Rainey Street. The pizza is delicious and they have a lot of beer on tap inside at Craft Pride. The only downfall is that the pizza takes a little bit to prepare because it’s coming from a food truck. If you’re ok putting in your order and then grabbing a beer while you wait it’s a great place! They have live music out back sometimes too. I would definitely recommend trying it out!

Yum yum yum… what else can I say, besides, don’t go there, because I want it all for myself. The smokey cheese, crispy sides, rich tomato sauce, light crust… four little pieces seem like something you can handle in one sitting, but you should really savor your bites, and eat just two, or bring friends, so you can all experience the yumminess together. I normally love thin crust pizza, and feel Chicago-style pizza is usually too dense and bricklike. This crust has the perfect balance… satisfying, but not coma-inducing. The toppings are top-notch. It is definitely worth the wait.

I love this pizza, and I’m a pizza lover so I can be a little picky. The sauce is great. It taste fresh and it has its own unique flavor. The toppings are very good and the different styles of pizzas are very good. The crust is probably the best thing because it’s it’s own kind of crust, it’s so good! Love that Pizza would definitely be happy when having it again

Good stuff! Of the«Detroit» style pizzas I’ve had in the Midwest. Ironically this definitely makes my Top 5. I had both the Hawaiian Pizza and Original Pepperoni. The Hawaiian Pizza had a great bacon smokey flavor with the right amount of sauce and cheese balance. The Pepperoni Pizza definitely brought out the crust flavor and pizza sauce flavor. Arriving around 10pm Saturday night, I loved the ambience of the outdoor seating. A very chill patio atmosphere with Christmas lighting throughout. Service was excellent too! 5⁄5

If you’ve been in Austin long enough then you know we have lots of amazing pizza places to try. I’ve had some amazing pizza, but for probably the last 2 years or so my favorite has been Via 313. It started with the OG on the East Side, but I’ve come to prefer this location because of the outdoor seating and Craft Pride has amazing beer selection in front. This is our favorite place to bring out of town guests as well and we took another guest(from L.A., don’t worry he’s not moving here) last weekend and he was blown away. He agreed that it’s the best pizza he’s ever had and I couldn’t be happier to hear him say that. The staff are all cool as hell and if you play your cards right you’ll catch some live music on the patio as well. I’ve never had a pizza that I didn’t like, but the 500 and the rocket are definitely my favs for sure. Do yourself a favor and place your order, then walk up front to grab a few pints and enjoy the people watching. You’re welcome!

The pizza was amazing! We ordered the pepperoni pizza and the Hawaiian pizza. The pepperoni was by far the better of the two but we loved it and so did Guy!

I got 4 cheese pizza. It was really good for Detroit style pizza. I loved the atmosphere, with live band playing and plenty of beer choices. It is a fun place to come and enjoy a pizza. I will come back

When I was visiting Austin I was staying a friends place that lives across the street from via and it was dangerous. This is some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. I’m not a huge fan of thin crust so this style is a perfect crossover between a deep dish and a thin crust. I tried the omnivore and it was amazing. Great variety of toppings and incredibly filling. Can’t wait to try another.

I have never have Detroit-style pizza until I moved to Austin, and I GREWUP in Michigan. But now thanks to VIA313, I am a proud Michigander with a serious pizza addiction. Crust style is an amalgamation of buttery, soft, crunchy, chewy, light, dense… layered with cheese and toppings, and then sauce drizzled on top. So, so incredible– in particular The 500. This pizza single-handedly changed my mind about pineapple on pizza.

I first tried Via 313 at the location listed behind Craft Pride on Rainey. Craft Pride is one of my fiancé’s go to bars on Rainey and he just so happens to love pizza, so it’s a perfect complement for one another. The pizza at Via 313 is Detroit style — meaning a very thick crust. Envision deep dish, sicilian style pizza with a doughy consistency yet crunchy crust. They have several different options to choose from and you really can’t go wrong with any of them, however our favorite is the Rocket — cheese, sopresatta, arugula and parmesan. One thing to keep in mind is that the wait is pretty long. The earlier you get there, the less of a wait of course, but expect to wait about 45 minutes or so. The good news is that while waiting you can grab some drinks and hang out on the patio in back of the bar.

We were very disappointed in our pizza’s. We paid $ 34 plus tip for 2 very dry flat stale pizzas. I have had great experience at the other via 313. It could have been that we got the gluten free crust or that we were the first set of customers of the day. I always get the gf crust and have gotten at least 10 gf pizzas from them. I guess they had an off day. I would Have given them more stars but for a $ 18 -$ 16 pizza I just wanted more of the Delish I was use to

Awesome food truck! Definitely a great experience with a significant other or with friends. They play awesome music and the lights during the night make the place beautiful. It’s right next to a the craft beer house which is super awesome with great selection of beers so it goes well the pizza! It is a bit pricy but it till you up and the quality of the ingredients are fresh and tasteful! However the pizza honestly kind of reminded me of pizza hut which isn’t a bad thing it’s just mainly since its like a personal pan pizza but fulfilling to the appetite. I ordered the Greek pizza and substituted the onions for mushrooms and the feta cheese on it and tomato spread was so delicious my friends kept asking me for a bite! My boyfriend ordered the Hawaiian pizza which was great too! Any pizza selection you can’t go wrong.

I could live off of pizza alone. The thing is, I prefer my simple pepperoni pie. Until I find something that just pushes the limits and makes me drool reading the menu. Via 313 did that. I had never tried«detroit» style and I’m glad that I can say I now have. It’s a great hybrid crust between regular pan and Chicago deep dish. I had the Cadillac, with balsamic glaze, fig, gorgonzola, and parmesan. The flavors were incredible. I kept two slices just to be able to eat them later. The pie was already great, but then the burnt cheese on the crust totally crushed it. Even better, pair it with a nice craft brew. It’s totally legit that they let you order and will bring your pizza into Craft Pride for you. Symbiosis at it’s best.

I had this on my list to eat while in Austin. I was bit intrigued by the thought of a food trailer in the back of a Texas only craft beer bar serving Detroit-style pizzas. As usual, I asked for the most popular pies they served. I ordered the the Cadillac which was prosciutto pizza with gorgonzola, fig preserves, parmesan and balsamic glaze. I was told it would take a while to make the pizza. Instead of ordering a local Texas draft beer, I went into the small room with their craft bottle collection. I asked for recommendation and went with the Ranger Creek Small Batch No. 7 series which was a beer which he said tasted like sweet potatoes. It took around may 20 minutes to receive the pizza. One bite and I was hooked. I ate as much as I could eat. Definitely a pizza you can share with someone. Crust was thick, but much lighter crisp than the crust of the denser Chicago pizzas that I’ve had before. I loved the mix of the saltiness of the prosciutto and the sweetness of the fig preserves and balsalmic glaze. If you’re a thick crust pizza lover, I highly recommend giving this Detroit pizza a try. If you re a NY thin crust person, this probably would not be your kind of pizza. Maybe head over to Bufalina in the eastside to try their Neopolitan-style pizzas.
