Perfect place to unwind and relax. I love the interior and exterior of the building. The copper bar top and lighting is perfect for a cocktail lounge. I haven’t been here at night yet, but look forward to spending some warmer nights in the garden. The cocktail menu is rotating so frequent often to try the new selections. The limited menu makes it easy to choose a nice compliment of food to their beverages. My suggestion would be the cheese plate, I am a sucker for a good cheese plate. The best kept secret about this place is the brunch. Flat Track Coffee served in a classic camp mug and a variety of fresh fruit mimosas are a great start to anyones Sunday fun day. My suggestions for brunch would be the Biscuit Benedict and Lamb Chorizo. I will note that this place does not carry«well» liquor. The drinks are a bit more pricey because they use better brand alcohols. They do have cheap beers though if you are drinking on a budget.

Hidden gem, lovely atmosphere. The bartenders /staff are the type of people you hope to see in Austin: long curly mustaches or fluorescent pink hair. We loved the charcuterie board and all the cocktails. If weather permits, large patio area. Smaller inside, but made to feel more intimate. Would definitely return.

The vibe is so chill… Typical hipster bar… Dimly lit… Odd music in the background… Locals… Awesome décor… Great place for a date… The food is delicious. I would recommend the cheese plate… Get as much bread as you want. Oh my god. Don’t forget the potato wedges… Holy crap. Their cocktails are excellent.

This is one of the sexiest bars in Austin. Great ambiance and killer drinks(get ready to pay for excellence) make this spot a real crowd pleaser. I love taking people there for the 1st time because they always get nervous that I’m taking them into someones home since there is no exterior signage. This creates a great build up because as soon as you walk through the door you are transported to a speakeasy where quality over quantity is the priority. Whether you are looking to impress some out of town folks, show off on a 1st date, or are just looking for a place off the beaten path away from the typical jäger bomb bro, this is an excellent choice.

Finally made it here last weekend. Finally. Total fan. Be warned: these drinks are strong. It was a COLD Saturday night and there was nothing I wanted more than a nice, bone-warming winter cocktail. We sat at the bar and immediately started talking with a regular. The décor was warm and inviting in a bar sort of way… This guy recommends a drink that wasn’t on the menu. Coffee flavors and bourbon and I was sold. Delicious. So tasty. Then I see they have homemade fireball. Omg. I imagine every batch turns out slightly different but this was like Apple-cinnamon-spicy goodness! I can quite easily say it was the best shot of my life! Yumm. So… 2 drinks and 2 shots later and the rest is history. I will so be back, but not with a vengeance, with a little less thirst next time. Dangerous but oh so good.

This is my new favorite place! I have been here twice in the last month or so and have fallen in love! The place is not really obvious from Cesar Chavez. There is no big sign or anything. You really just have to know where you are going because the entrance and parking are in the back off the main street. It is an old house with a gorgeous outdoor seating area. The inside is just as pretty too. My husband and I loved the look and feel of the tiles inside which line the walls and ceiling. It definitely gave us the New York subway feeling. My first visit we indulged in some cocktails and snacks. I had the Pilar cocktail which was amazing and impressive! The presentation with the ice stacked up was awesome! We also ordered the meat an cheese plate and shashito peppers and both were great as well. I loved the variety of meats that they had to choose from as there were things I had never had before. My second visit I came with some girlfriends for happy hour. The drink menu had changed and the drinks were just as good this time around! I absolutely loved the Wooden Ships frozen cocktail — it was ice cold, refreshing and somehow reminded me of fall — delicious! We also ordered the meat and cheese plate. This time some of accompaniments were a little different, but equally as good as the first time! We also had the fingerling potatoes which were a huge hit at the table! Sitting on their patio was great and I would have sat there longer than we did if I had more time. Weather Up is my kind of thing for sure! The only thing I would change is their hours — I think the should be open till 2am every night. I shall see you soon!

Driving up and down(or rather, across and back) Cesar Chavez on many occasions during the week, I had yet to experience this Brooklyn transplant. Heck, I thought it was located on the south side of the road. Wrong was I. As well, the space offered far more space than any Austinite drinking on the east side could ask for. On the other end, you will find drinks to be more expensive than desired. Nonetheless, the smattering of drink options – with house-squeezed lime juice(into a bucket, boasted our waitress!) and an assortment of spices and the like. To add fuel to the fire, the food is unique and refined, with items such as poutine and shishito peppers rounding out the menu and experience. In regards to the feel, servers are welcoming, but not necessarily warm. It seems to me they want to give you space, which I can appreciate. With an eclectic interior and a spacious outdoor space, Weather Up can cater to groups big or small. Not many other places in Austin can offer abundance space such as WU in such a central area – remember those days when Juan in a Million was out in the sticks? Now, it seems Cesar Chavez is prime real estate for bars and restaurants.

First time — love it already. Had the«last word»…make your lips pucker up… yum. A bit confusing to find for the first time around but it all pays off with their parking area and drinks:) may I add nice bartenders too! And you immediately get a glass of water, very thoughtful it being so hot out.

Weather Up is great! I’d wanted to try it for quite some time and was fortunate enough to slip in here on a date with my wife one night! We had an amazing time the cheese and charcuterie plate we ordered was amazing as were the Shishito Peppers, as you know 1 in 10 Shishito’s are spicy and my wife claimed to get one right away, I feel like I could eat a bucket and not get a hot one but even the mild ones are so delicious I cant bring myself to care! The drinks here a spectacular and the inside of the bar makes me feel like I’m in a New York subway! The mood is great for dates or even just hanging out and the bartenders are fantastic! I would recommend Weather Up to anyone!

I really liked this place. Cute outside patio with a relaxed vibe, perfect for a date night cocktail or two. The drinks were seriously delicious! Reasonable prices for a craft cocktail i’d say.

You want craft cocktails on Austin’s Eastside? Welcome to Weather up. This concept comes to Austin by way of New York and you definitely get that vibe. It has swanky, low lit interior that oozes charm. It almost begs you to sit in the corner and order round after round of well made cocktails. The patio out back is quintessential Austin. It’s a great place to sit with friends. Under misters in the summer. Thumbs up. In the drinks department, they are well versed. Very educated barkeeps with good technique and some great recommendations. «You get what you pay for.» It’s true. And that’s a good thing. Trust that you $ 10-$ 14 are in good hands that will shake and stir their way into your hearts. I’ve tried a fair portion of their signature cocktails and I’ve yet to be disappointed. The Bartender’s Choice is on their menu for good reason. Let them guide you and you’ll have a great time. The food is delicious as well. Meat & Cheese board, fantastic. Gnocchi? Yes-chi. Next time I want to try brunch and maybe I’ll stay around for the Sunday 4 – 7 happy hour. Drinking is only a problem if you spill. Don’t forget to tip your servers and your barkeep!

Went here with some friends. Cool location, and the interior is pretty awesome. Swanky, I’d say. Outdoor space looked pleasant, but damn it was hot, so I opted to sit at the bar. There’s a cool dog that hangs out inside most of the time. She doesn’t want attention, but she wants to be near you. So sweet. Parking lot in back. We had a number of drinks and a few of the snacks. The drinks were all pretty good. Quality ingredients and good technique. The food was definitely good. We enjoyed the meat and cheese plate immensely. Love building my own meat/cheese board. Service was a little slow because it was just the two bartenders taking care of everyone, so taking orders, bringing out food, making drinks, serving drinks, taking payment. It wasn’t super busy, but we had to wait awhile for a number of items, and there was never anything proactive(e.g. «would you like another drink»). I’m sure I’ll end up back here again with friends, but don’t think it will be a regular haunt.

Very hip, charming Eastside craft cocktail bar! The interior is so cool — white subway tiles on the ceiling and great mood lighting. Then there’s outdoor seating — tons of tables with some twinkling lights! Our table ordered two Seasbrookes and one El Camino — and they were good! And beautiful, of course. I’d love to go back and try their food as well — they serve dinner and brunch(on Saturday AND Sunday)! Several vegetarian options that sound amazing: crispy fried fingerling potatoes with rosemary lemon aioli; heirloom tomato & mango curry; pan seared gnocchi with corn, oyster mushrooms, pickled cherry tomatoes, and green garlic; harissa & hazelnut crostini; and a wild mushroom & potato crêpe! Several vegetarian options on their brunch menu as well — and they have special brunch cocktails! Awesome cocktail bar with tons of character and charm! Can’t wait to go back!

The Weather Up is another cool bar on the Eastside. They have great cocktails and food. My favorite part of the Weather Up in their backyard. It has a cool vibe, is shaded by trees and just has a general good feel to it. All the cocktails I ordered were great and their food was a pleasant surprise. If we plan to hop around the Eastside we will definetly keep Weather Up in mind to start our night.

One thing I absolutely love is the outdoors. Just kidding, I hate nature, but I do love brunch and mimosas while sitting on verandas and Weather Up has both of those things. I don’t think I’m using the word veranda right, but whatever. The food seems different, it is different, but it’s also super delicious. And the décor of the interior is awesome. All of the cocktails that we have tried were really good. It’s definitely one of our favorite spots along Cesar.

This place has a nice and spacious back patio lined with jasmine draped fences that waft their floral goodness about and make a nice day on a patio even more enjoyable. The service was helpful and attentive, and my drink, the gin gin mule, was a tasty spin on a moscow mule that was well balanced, favorful and refreshing. The hunk of crystallized candied ginger as garnish was great as well. We split some appetizers all which were enjoyable, with the duck fat fried fingerling potatoes with its bright and refreshing lemony dipping sauce being my favorite. I sampled a few other cocktails here and they all seemed to be pretty well made drinks. Definitely a worthy stop on a night out.

Only one word comes to mind when I was served here…“Seriously?” In a group of four they got two drinks wrong. How hard is it to get a Jameson and ginger ale right? One, maybe two shots of Jameson, over ice, and add ginger ale. I don’t need candied ginger on a toothpick. I don’t need a splash of citrus. I don’t want anything, but… Jameson and ginger ale. It’s that easy. Secondly, a friend ordered some strawberry concoction. When there is so much ice that you are fairly certain the liguid in a highball glass amounts to about a quarter cup… at 9 dollars, that’s called a rip off. She didn’t order a poorly made snowcone. She ordered a drink. Boo this place. BOOOOOOOOOO!!!(making thumbs down gesture) Go back to New York, and learn how to fix a drink. The one star is for the ambiance, which I have to say, they should attribute to the coffee shop that was there before them.

I really enjoy Weather Up and one of it’s sister speakeasy bars, Little Branch. I know prohibition cocktails have been all the rage for the past several years, but Weather up does them real justice. The Ramos Gin Fizz is just heavenly! Truth be told, I haven’t had a cocktail here that I didn’t like. The atmosphere is really attractive, interesting and comfortable. The staff is knowledgeable, efficient, and really nice. A couple of years ago I threw a little Bday gathering for my best bud on her 30th. I called to see if a booth could be reserved and the staff was extremely accommodating. It was a really fun night, and we felt very well cared for. I’ve taken many friends here and everyone likes it. Even my in-laws enjoyed it even though we were sitting outside on a cold night! That’s pretty impressive. Although some changes have been made since they first opened, it hasn’t become something ridiculously«ball cap» like so many other bars that used to be great(ie certain bars on Rainey St.). It’s good. If we were all smart we would keep this bad boy to ourselves and quit Unilocaling about it! My bad.

First time visit Saturday afternoon. No sign on street makes locating it difficult. Small bar area with wooden floor and a few marble tables. The doors are open and a dog is wandering around in and out The spirits selection looks decent and they have 4 – 5 ryes. Country music from a long time ago like Bob Wills day a little too loud. Only a few people here, kinda chill. Back patio is Dirt/gravel and muddy right now.
