Really great beer. Super friendly staff. Try the deli truck across the street — smoked beef loin sandwich is amazing.

Delicious beer in a cool space! If you go on the weekend, you may have to stand as seating is limited. However their service station is efficient and they have a solid selection of beer. I am a huge ESB fan so I appreciate their offering of the style.

this place is great, affordable, clean and cute! what more could you ask for?! we went in a group of 6 and all tried the beer flights were you can get 4 smaller beers from a list of 6⁄8. it was about $ 8 adn the teo IPA’s were my favorite. they also had cute glasses it is a smaller brewery so the seating is limited but there is indoor and outdoor with large TV’s for any football game over all great experience and would recommend however its not a place i will be going to often

It’s a place you can get beer, and the beer is really good. Unilocal requires me to enter a lot of words or else it’s a «tip» and not a «review», so, here’s my extended«review.»

This place was a surprise for sure! Some friends and I met up with some other friends here and ended up having a few beers. The place is a cool atmosphere indeed. It is chill and open which makes for a comfortable night hanging with friends. The staff was friendly and willing to answer our groups questions about their beer. I had a session IPA and it was delicious! I would absolutely come back here to hang out or meet up with friends and family. I am a fan!

friendly staff, good select brews. I’m a huge IPA fan unfortunately they did not have a big hoppy beers at the time. but defintely worth the atmosphere, and price is totally fair.

Great fun tasting. We went on the Austin detour event with our team outing. We had four different brews just don’t ask me what I tasted lmao! Never thought I be a fan of coffee beer but that was my fav.

You can always tell if a city is good by its breweries. And Austin is a good city. The zilker brewery was a solid destination on a night out in Austin. We tried various brews, which were all delicious. We met some people along the way who introduced us to one of the owners. And one of my friends even got to purchase some discounted merchandise for a souvenir. It’s a pretty good sized room, but it’s not as large as some breweries I’ve been to in the past. This is a good destination for a group of up to ten people max. If you’re on 6th, it’s a good destination for a small crowd.

This is the only brewery I’ve been to in Austin up to now, being the first I’ve visited because of it’s AWESOME location so close to central ATX! Not to mention the beer rocks. It’s a taproom as well as a brewery, which means you can come here on a weekend night just as you would a bar and buy beer for directly from them. I usually dislike the high level of hops in IPAs, but theirs is so good that I don’t mind. And their coffee stout is pretty tasty too.

I really can’t comment much on this brewery, we were all there for one beer. I can’t even remember the name of it, but it was one of the few that they had on tap and it was fairly good. I’m starting to catch on to the craft beer scene. It doesn’t seem like ATX has yet though. It seemed like they were fairly new and recently opened. They didn’t serve food, but there was a place directly across the street to eat. There were a lot of older people there. Nothing wrong with older people, I’m just saying that it definitely wasn’t a college hang out.

We tried this place out around two months ago because we’d been hearing a lot about it. I’m a beer drinker and an IPA girl. Their Marco IPA, which is now being canned, is refreshingly good! I was also not let down by their other offerings. Since the first visit we have gone another ¾ times. The prices are reasonable and you get large pours for what you’re paying. The only downside would be that there isn’t a ton of seating around but they always have tour groups going in and out of there so that frees up space. They have a couple of picnic tables outside and pets are welcomed. The staff is really friendly and really fast to pour you something. We took the kids here on a Saturday afternoon and there was no problem with that either. I can’t believe that they’ve opened almost 6 months already. I will continue to come and hang out here for the beer and can’t wait what else they have up their sleeve.

I didn’t even realize this place in development until one of my friends told me they were chilling there. I feel like this place just popped up out of nowhere. I went to meet up with my buddy’s and was rather impressed at how nice the atmosphere was. It doesn’t feel very east sixth but I’ll cut it some slack for that because it is very comfortable. The beer is great and the prices are the same as at every other brewery. It does get a bit crowded on weekends and sometimes its hard to find seating for a group but other than that I dig it here. The staff are amazing and love to talk about the beers and I really don’t think I’ve met a more friendly group of bar workers. If you get tired of the east side pretentiousness I think this might be a good place to take a time out!

Solid little brewery, but with a very limited tap selection I’ll withhold judgement until they have enough of a repertoire to really make a name for themselves. All of the varieties are straight-up-the-middle; the Session IPA tastes like an IPA, though I was partial to the Honey Saison… if you don’t like saison style beer, this one isn’t going to change your mind. The interior is industrial, but more airy than the small storefront would suggest. Beware parking, they literally have 6 spaces out front, so plan on parking on the street. Definite potential here though, I’m eager to come back.

I checked out Zilker a few weeks ago after hearing the buzz about them after launching this spring. Went on a Saturday afternoon. Packed but not nearly as bad as I thought(pays to wait until they’ve been open a while). Quickly found available seating & had a good conversation with a Vietnam vet! I would suggest getting a sampler in order to try everything they have & see what’s best for you. They’re still a new spot so aside from a handful of places carrying their product on tap, you won’t find their stuff in cans or bottles. If you’re on East 6th& dreading the crowds & lines at Hops & Grain, check out Zilker while they’re still new-ish!

Can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this place yet! We dropped by about a week after opening with absolutely no idea about this place. They only had two beers on tap at that time, a honey saison and a ESB. I am not a fan of saisons and that stood even after trying theirs, but the ESB is delicious. The staff is also a big hit at this place. Incredibly friendly and ready and willing to answer any and all questions you have about the brewery. Fantastic stop on a warm sunny day — grab a beer, enjoy the a/c inside or sit out in the front yard area. We really like it here and foresee coming back quite a bit as it sits near some of our favorite bars.

Charming and small local brewery on East Sixth! A friend and I stumbled upon Zilker as we were walking along Sixth. It’s small compared to other local breweries, and doesn’t yet brew too many beers! But it’s still new! I think it just opened within the last couple of months. Very dog-friendly. We made friends with a golden retriever who was wandering around the bar. I loved the Session IPA. The staff was knowledgeable about their beers and extremely friendly.

This is a small taproom with a relaxed and fun atmosphere. We stopped by here on a Saturday evening and there were quite a few people, but it wasn’t super crowded. There is a good amount of indoor seating and it also seems to be dog friendly, judging by the one dog I glimpsed sitting behind one of the benches inside. The 6oz tasters are adorable and only $ 2 each, so you can get a flight of all 4 of their beers for a very reasonable price. Apparently you can also purchase their glasses for $ 5 each. If I’m ever nearby again, I would happily stop by for a quick drink!

I love the wide open space, the garage doors, the whiskey bottle vases, the friendly staff and the chill vibe. I did not order any of their beer myself, but I did taste about 3 of them that my friends had. Their beers are a bit too light for me, but my friends enjoyed them and they’d be nice on a hot day. They’ve only been opened for about 2 or 3 weeks now, but they’ve got a good thing going are perfectly situated and are a great stop. They have menus for the Kogi food truck across the street which is nice too.

In between stops with some friends, we stumbled upon this newly opened brewery and it couldn’t have been more inviting with the two large garage style doors wide open with a view of the bar and picnic tables inside. So far the selection is pretty limited, with only 4 beers on tap, but after having gotten the small pour of each, I can definitely say they were all well made beers and well suited to drinking in the upcoming summertime heat. The Belgian Pale ale is a style I don’t typically get too excited about, but this was as good of one as I’ve had. The ESB was pretty classic with its light toffee maltiness and crisp light hop finish. The session IPA smelled great and had a good dose of bitterness while keeping it in check and was very drinkable as intended, and the honey saison was neither overly sweet or esthery from the belgian yeast, and made for a great refreshing summer beer as well. Genuinely impressed by their initial four offerings and I’d absolutely come back.

Great new drinking hole on East Sixth. The small bar opens onto the street with inside and outside seating. I tried one of the three beers on tap: honey something, a subtle blonde ale. My husband enjoyed the IPA. This place is going to be very popular add Austin heats up this summer.
