Overpriced and poorly executed food. Sausage were very undercooked and hollandaise was broken. I was very surprised since they touted the«Avalon Omelette» as their signature and instead delivered a subpar american cheese omelet with a side of nacho cheese. I was disgusted. I will not return and would not recommend Brian’s Waffle House. P. S. I ordered ONEof the waffles($ 8.50) ala carte. It was bland and generic would be kind.

So the food was ok the server was sweet and the place was clean. However, it was not worth the money. The food was pre made and just ok. No biscuits, chipped beef taste like esskays out of the package, home fries are potato wedges and 2 coffees and 2 made from concentrate orange juices is $ 13!

Stopped here on the way home from Cape May. Quick seating, granted it’s the fall. I’d imagine in the middle of the season there might be waits. Even so, it’d be worth the wait. Ate with 6 people and we all had something different. I had a roast beef special which was amazing, although small portion(it was an 8.95 special though). Others had french toast and omlettes which they enjoyed. Average decent cup of joe as well. I’d go back if in area.

Maybe I thought this place was so great bc the place my group went to for breakfast the day prior was horrendous but Brian’s was fantastic. Waitstaff was really nice, service was super quick, food was hot and delicious, and the prices were good. Down home mom and pop shop kinda place. Great place for some waffles and pancakes!

Mediocre at best. This was recommended by a friend who said the waffles were amazing. I don’t see what all the hype is about. To be honest our food wasn’t very good but the service was friendly and decent. Although prices are OK for this place being near the beach. But I think it’s a tad harsh to charge 3.25 for a side of bacon and it’s only 2 slices. I’m sorry you were a disappointment and I wish I would’ve found somewhere to have a breakfast burrito. I wish you well though waffle house

Very friendly and attentive staff. Unfortunately, the food was expensive and mediocre. Scrambled eggs were not scrambled, just thrown on the flat top grill and slid onto a plate. Generous with the cheese on the eggs. Pancakes were bitter(maybe too much baking soda) and gummy. Bacon had a chemical flavor. This was a shame as good applewood smoked bacon is easily found. Real maple syrup was $ 2.00 extra! Omelette was average(but it was cooked properly).

Cute little diner type joint in Avalon. We came here with a large group of kids and adults and everyone was pleased with their selections. I had scrapple here, a side dish I only get when I am at the shore, and it was good. It is not a fancy place … a little breakfast place at the shore. The servers were probably college or high school kids, but they were very sweet and attentive. As all other shore places that need to capitalize on summer months, pricing is a bit on the higher side. But I am totally fine with that and count this place as a good summer experience.

I am not a picky eater but the food here was terrible. I had the omelet which was small and bad. My kids had the waffles and even they were bad. You think they could at least get that right being that it is a Waffle House but they were bad. Wife had the pancakes and bacon and they were also terrible. To be honest, I have no idea how the place was so crowded, but I will never be going back.

Brian’s Waffle House is a great dining experience. Our server, Rose, never let our coffee cups go empty, our food was delicious, and we received a lovely greeting from the owner! Highly recommended!

Just had lunch there. Limited small menu. Husband got the burger, nice size, very good. I got a chicken wrap, shredded chicken, Sun dried tomatoes, spinach and goat cheese. Also very good and a nice size. The ketchup for burger and fries was lacking flavor. If you’re going to charge $ 9.75 for wraps and burgers, don’t skimp on the ketchup. We got there just before they closed at 2 so we watched them clean, and vacuum all around us. Other than that it’s a nicely decorated place. I’d go back, earlier

Had breakfast here this morning. I might be a little biased on my review as my name is Brian and would naturally migrate to a Waffle House named after myself with whom I am honestly very fond of. My friend ken got the Brian bonanza and it was huge. He got a lot of gains from his meal. The waitress was somewhat cold and potentially tired from a wild 4th of July. I actually appreciated her sincere lack of energy and her straightforward conversation. If I wanted crappy small talk I’d go to circle tavern. And if I wanted to be told to hold 40 times I would’ve called circle pizza.

So I’ve been to Brian’s several times am I’ve notice that they overstaff. As a previous restaurant manger I notice these things and I think it looks very unprofessional, I blame this entirely on management. The poor kids are just standing around with nothing to do and taking up space. For a customer to notice this it’s a bit embarrassing. I mean it’s so bad that there’s more employees than customers. Otherwise, the food was good and the service was quick and friendly

The waffles and pancakes are good, but coffee is 2.75 and sides like bacon are 3.50. They only take cash. I noticed that they were overstaffed with teenagers who all stand around a counter in the dining room. I counted eight kids there chatting for most of our meal. Another three chatting near a booth. Maybe four others actively working. Also playing heavy metal at 9am. Not a favorite.

There are many breakfast/lunch places here in Avalon. None compare to Brian’s. The place is spotless(I’m a stickler for clean windows & theirs always sparkle), friendly, quick & delicious. They are always glad to see you & treat you like family! Kids love it so everyone is happy!

We love this place. Oatmeal raisin pancakes are to die for. Will’s Favorite rocks. Great people. Great service. Best place for breakfast or lunch on Seven Mile Island. We love it, you will too. Be there or be square!

Nope. I could make equal if not better breakfast food at home. It’s IHOP food with a markup that only waterfront dining can elicit.(It’s not waterfront btw). The service is friendly and with a smile, but seriously — how can you bring me blueberry pancakes 3 minutes after I order them? It’s just weird! Even if you can somehow make food that fast, just pretend it takes longer. Overall, very average food that is very overpriced. Also, cash only. There’s an ATM inside and that’s pretty typical of many beach restaurants.

Owned by the same peeps who own Uncle Bill’s. Mediocre at BEST. The seem to have a million servers milling about and the food isn’t all that good. I’ve gotten home fries twice and they«seem» like they would be good but they really aren’t! They don’t taste freshly cooked at all. Everything has a kind of meh. Still trying to find a good choice for breakfast on the island…

We wanted to like this place more, but was just OK. The cinnamon toast french toast was fine, but the cream cheese one wasn’t that great. Coffee was OK, tea was good. Service was OK, the table turner people were quick but the server was just OK. As others have noted, cash only, but they have an ATM5 feet from the register. Artwork is cute. They do have some outdoor seating that is covered by an awning.

First let me say this… you’re on an island and the options are limited. Given the limited options available, Brian’s is a fine choice. The waffles were good(blueberrys were clearly frozen but didn’t take away from the taste), the omelets more than satisfactory, and the price was fine(I’ve seen some bitter reviews, but the price is not exorbitant in any way). I’ve been to most breakfast places on the 7 mile island and nothing is amazing(short of that Wawa breakfast wrap when you’re really hungover and all you want is a yellow gatorade, a large cup of the kona blend, and a breakfast wrap). Brian’s is a good breakfast joint given your choices, and I will definitely be back when I am in town.
