AutoLab Complete Car

I know I may look like a dumb ditsy girl to some but I’m not.
I took my car in for a simple oil change to the AutoLab in Avon & they tried to up-​sale me into other ‘repairs’ that simply weren’t needed.
They made it sound like I needed to get these so called repairs done immediately for my own safety.
They sounded a bit shady so I took my car to a nearby dealership & had them give me a 2^nd opinion. I was told that there was nothing wrong whatsoever with the «issues» that Auto-​Lab had described & that I was being taken advantage of.
I highly recommend avoiding this place.

Okay. Nothing great.
Prices are fairly steep. Not really realistic.

If anyone is like me, going to the auto repair shop is a dreadful experience. Even a simple oil change could become a «by the way, we noticed this too» trip.
Well, I am at the point where my car is paid for and now even other month something is going wrong. Trying my best to dodge a car payment, I find myself weighing the repairs vs the value of the vehicle.
Okay, enough about me, on to the review.
I took my SUV to Auto Lab out of the blue. After going to several other mechanics and experiencing sticker shock, something told me to stop by for a 4^th opinion.
Immediately I was intimidated by the cleanliness and feel of the place. They probably have one of the cleanest lobby’s next to a high end car dealership.
They took my truck for a test drive and were very clear in explaining the issue. I even got to stand underneath my truck with the mechanic. Still skeptic on the noise, we went for a second test drive to make sure we were identifying the same noise.
The price they quoted me was $ 500 below the lowest bidder.
They got me in and out on a Saturday morning.
Even though I had to invest money I didn’t expect on an auto repair, I was pleased with their work and professionalism.
I definitely will consider them in the future, as I strive to hit 250k miles.

I recently had a oil change. service was ok I took care home and woke up to a flat tire. I took the car back and indeed had a nail in tire. Paid to have it plugged and was on my way. Left for a couple days to find a flat tire same tire mind you. 3^rd time now. I took car back again. They said I had another nail and fixed for free. Come to find out new manager was taking over. Real nice guy. So while waiting I went and had lunch. Returned to find car done and outside and again no charge. Got my keys other then frustration of having to return again it was nice I didn’t have to pay again. So I get in car and my tpms light was on. They had me pull it in and they checked tire psi. It was low. He said that the tire pressure indicator of his was bad. Filled with air and on my way. While standing there and even though they plug and not patch I picked up 5 nails and screws on floor while waiting. Even pointing them out to the guy. Took car home and yep got up the next day same tire same situation. Took car back now for the
5^th time.

Super friendly and great pricing. The staff treats everyone like they are old friends. We always take our vehicles there.

Original: Our experience with AutoLab was exceptional from the beginning.
They were recommended to us by Discount Tire as we had obtained some after market shocks & struts to level a Dodge 1500.
They were helpful on the phone and honest about pricing. They booked the appointment quickly and were on time upon arrival.
They did a great job of replacing the product I provided in an appropriate time.
The waiting lounge was comfortable and I didn’t mind the wait.
I will return to them and highly recommend them.

I’m not much of a car guy. I don’t enjoy working on cars, talking about cars, or really doing anything but driving a car to get places. So, in order to continue in my avoidance of car related work, I needed to find a trustworthy mechanic. Thank goodness for these guys. I haven’t had a single problem with their work, the prices are reasonable, and their service is excellent. I bring my vehicles here for everything and will continue to do so for as long as they provide service this good.

It’s pretty bad when you enjoy visiting this type of place…
The last thing you want to have to do is shell out your hard earned money to get your car fixed. If it comes to that you can visit this place and know your vehicle needs it or they won’t do it.
I will admit that I am fortunate to know more about cars than the average woman. That can be a good thing, or a dangerous thing depending on how the person you are talking to feels their level of knowledge is. I don’t pretend to know more than the mechanic, but I know enough to know if they are trying to get over on me when it comes to repairs. That will not happen when you talk to Mike or Scott… or honestly anyone of the guys in the garage.
I drive a car that I really like because of the body style and I don’t like the new ones, so mine gets treated like a member of the family and a baby at that. First sign of a sickness I go to AutoLab. Just ask them, they know me by name. (Also I don’t want to spend as much as a house to replace it).
The service is great, the prices are less than dealers charge, and if you stop in to ask them a question or take a quick look… they are there.
Two days after Christmas, I stopped in to ask a question about no heat in my car.(I do live in the midwest and the polar vortex was about to attack us – you want heat in your car). I gave a brief description of what had happened the night before, and in moments I had Mike, Scott, Scooter, and 2 others under the hood of my car. Twenty minutes later my car was blowing out heat like it was just off the showroom floor. I had not had that many men or that much attention in ages, too bad it was all for my car.
That people is service, and it is because you can trust this place and these people ! That is hard to find in the auto repair business. I am a loyal customer who gets treated right in a place that is clean, pleasant to wait if you have too, and have a soft drink, coffee, television or wifi, all at their expense. If you can’t wait they arrange to take you home and pick you up when your car is ready. (within distance reason of course)
Don’t think they are some little place with not much business, they are anything but that. Go in … check them out… I promise you auto repair like this will have more people keeping their cars until they grow old.
