Rite Aid

One of the best ice cream placed in BAKO. Serving sizes are huge! Ice cream is always fresh. They also have the Dove chocolate with Carmel and sea salt. These are hard to fine. Go great with a rich Cab like Justin. I love their pistachio ice cream. My wife loves their chocolate mint. Service… well…what do we expect? Be patient, you’ll get to the checker

I had to come back to update my review, as well as remove two stars. I am so disappointed with this location lately. I was in this store yesterday with my son and daughter. We were walking down the food aisle when we came across two (HUGE) dead roaches in the aisle. I was mortified. I walked to the counter to let the associate know what we found. The associate called another worker who then responded, «NOPE! Not picking it up. I don’t do roaches! Sorry!»…Wow.
My son happens to be HIGHLY allergic to roaches, so this concerned me. I let them know that not only was this a health hazard but a hazard to my son because he is allergic. The employees still refused to pick them up. We are talking about two extremely disease infested bugs in the middle of an aisle where there is nothing but food, come on. Not to mention the fact that it looks really bad on a company to just have those chilling in your aisle and not clean them up.
I will never visit this location again.

This is a new store so it’s still very neat and clean. Every time I walk in I get greeted by every employee and they’re always helpful.
I can get in and out of there quickly and never have to stand in a long line.
This location also has a Thrifty ice cream counter so it’s a great place to drop by when it’s hot outside or you just want that great ice cream.

Paid using credit card love the fact they asked to see my ID or CDL regardless of the amount! Service with a smile!

The pharmacy staff are rude and incompetent! Which for a pharmacy is scary since they handle prescriptions! I had to go back 4 times just to get one prescription filled. Not to mention that they lied to me and blamed it on everything but the fact that there lazy and can’t figure how to put it in the computer. Today I went to pick of the prescription that took 2 weeks to fill and there was only one person working. She saw me and sighed like ah shit I have to work!!! I will never fill a prescription at this store again! Might stop going to the store all together!!! A month I witnessed an illegal purchase of tobacco, when I informed the sales clerk of what I witnessed he acted like I was full of crap!!!

This is always a well stocked, clean store. My only reason for not giving them 5 stars is they always have huge lines!!! Oh my gosh always, like we need another drug store or liquor store in the neighborhood just to give a little relief. If you go after 5 pm be prepared to wait in line or on a weekend. No joke I’ve never experienced such a thing.
Anyway this is a typical Rite Aid with yummy Thrifty brand ice cream that none other compares, especially when it goes on sale!

My family uses this Pharmacy. We love it! Nice to grab a few things! Smiling as they greet you coming through the door and telling you to have a good morning, Day & Evening. Employees are always nice & pleasant. Store is always clean and tidy.
The Ice Cream selection is nice, I think they have atleast 12 flavors. Great snack for the kids after school any time of year. Desert after dinner. Or just bike riding to get an Ice Cream Cone or a Cup.
They do not sell bread here but they have most everything else I’ve needed. They sell a very large variety of things! Great place to pick up stuff for the holidays. Perfumes, Nail Polish, All Season Décor (Seasonal). Something for every season. The have a wellness card and you use it to save up points and you get points on how much u spend. If u have a family it can really save you some money. I average ab a $ 15.00 savings off my next purchase there a week to $ 15.00×2 =. $ 30.00. I buy my milk there it’s Code Dates r longer than most of the stores & it is usually cheaper too. Check out thier sales ads, in store and online. That’s what I do.

Ice Creammmmmm… that is all

I pass this Rite Aid on my way to and from school. Unfortunately for me, they don’t open until 8:00 so I can never stop there on the way to school to pick up last minute items. It is handy to run to at lunch or after school, though.
This location, on the Northeast corner of Olive drive and Jewetta, is typical for Rite Aid stores in Bakersfield. They carry Thrifty ice cream and have a large selection of refrigerated drinks: milk, water, juice, sodas, energy drinks, and beer; and munchies.
The selection of cosmetic products and over the counter medications is good, the store is clean, and the workers are always friendly.
The convenience factor is high because of their proximity to work. If only they were open earlier, sigh.

From time to time, you can find good deals at Rite Aid. For the price, the ice cream is terrific! They do a good job of keeping the store clean, and the service is not bad.

This place has stepped it up a bit with getting medication ready in a timely manner. Hopefully they can keep it up.

Understaffed. Early morning manager is a little strange. He does not seem to care that I cant find what I am looking for. Still they have good deals from time to time.

Decent place for picking up odds and ends. Every once in a while they will have some pretty good deals. However, this store seems to be understaffed, so you almost always have to wait in line to check out.

I frequent this Rite Aid quite a bit, and I always find what I need. Great selection of alcoholic beverages and sundry items… what I never expect, but always get is helpful, friendly service and someone that can always point me in the right direction of an item I may have a hard time locating. They do this with not only a smile, but with suggestions or tips as well.
