Been coming here for a few years and lately service has gone down hill. Made reservations and it took 20 min to get seated when 2 tables were open. 45 min to get a drink. Think it’s time to find a new spot! Really disappointed. Even all the old cooks have left. Guess it’s a sign.

We went tonight for dinner. First off the dinner was delicious as always, and the Chef was entertaining. The downside, they were understaffed. I asked our waitress if they had enough Chefs she said all the Chefs were working. We waited well over an hour for the Chef to even begin preparing our food. Evidently there were only 2 Chefs working, if that is ALL their Chefs they will be in trouble. Word to the manager, you start with a full staff then send people home if it gets slow. You cannot predict each night, not even on a Tuesday. One couple from our table got up, asked for their bill for their drinks, salad and soup, and left. I don’t blame them I was seriously contemplating it. At this point I will not be going back. I also recommend you check your tab before you pay.

Miss matched tables and duct tape on the menus. Chef was pushy with throwing food and everyone. The food all tasted the same charred from an unclean gill. The chef set a plastic bottle on the drill long enough to smell burnt plastic then picked it up to contain cooking on that spot. I will not be back.

Our chef, Chris, was spectacular! He made our night memorable. The owner was very pleasant and welcoming… she even treated our girls to a special hair-do complete with nice wooden chopsticks. Can’t wait to come back again!

Manager is so rude. We left due to how she spoke to me and my entire family. We had a reservation that night and tried to call to make changes but they didnt answer. When we arrived to tell them the changes she responded«Its not my problem, we dont answer our phones at night during dinner.» what kind of business is that.

This place is ok. But as a vegan I sat at the bar and saw the guy making sushi behind the counter and he never changed his gloves once. Can you say cross contamination. He even left to go throw something in the trash and then still no glove change. Finally he gave a girl sitting next to me her roll and the gloves came off. So one glove change in 20 minutes. Weak sauce shoguns.

I came here with my hubby and two relatives to celebrate a birthday. This was our first Teppanyaki experience and we loved it! We were seated within 5 minutes of arriving on a Friday night, which was great. For the Teppanyaki dinner, you choose your meat(steak, chicken, shrimp, etc) and it includes fried rice and a vegetable medley on the side, as well as soup & salad as a starter and a scoop of ice cream for dessert. Prices range from $ 15-$ 50 depending on the meat you choose. We loved the salad. The pineapple-ginger dressing is really good. The soup was okay — not a big broth soup fan. I ordered the sliced steak & chicken, my hubby ordered the ribeye steak & chicken, my brother in law ordered shrimp, and my sister in law ordered scallops. I enjoyed my sliced steak but after tasting the ribeye, I’ll definitely order that next time! The shrimp was okay as well. We all surprisingly really loved the rice and veggies! They were delicious. Finally, the green tea ice cream was a great ending. Our chef was entertaining and food was pretty good. I would definitely come back.

We headed over here a couple weeks ago for date night and were very impressed! They got us right in with a table that had just started cooking and took our orders right away. The atmosphere was fun and the food was great! We will be back again!

Well I went in today for their Chicken lunch special that comes with a nice little portion of teriyaki chicken over a bed of white rice and a side salad… Sounded like it was going to be great just like a remember their food being. I was totally wrong it was disgusting. The chicken had this nasty liquid smoke taste and it was cold and dry as could be, when they brought it to me. The rice was their sushi rice which also was cold and kind of too chewy. The salad was the best part and it was way too much of their asian stule dressing all over it. Totally disappointed with this today. The only good thing about my visit was my waitress she was very polite and did not charge me for the food that I did not end up eating. I WILLNEVERGOBACK here now after that experience. Of i could give half a star I would.

Enjoyed a quick lunch with mom on out busy work day… I got beef teriyaki, mom got chicken… delicious and perfect amount, not over portioned… came with a delightful salad and dressing… was watching the group having lunch at the grill… we so want to do that… Will be back for sushi sometime.

Recently came here for a birthday. We had a party of 18(including my 2 and 3 year old). The owner hovered over out table and was extremely concerned that our waiter was not going to charge us for my 2 children even though they do not eat Teppanyaki and that I brought them sandwiches. It was a little ridiculous. My tempura appetizer was good and the Teppanyaki was just so-so. For feeling as though we were being scrutinized by the owner, who came to that table several times to check to see if anyone shared, I would probably not go back. This place used to be pretty good, but things have changed.

I lived in Okinawa Japan for 2 years. This isn’t the Teppanyaki I came to know and love. I took my wife there on our anniversary. It is showy and high energy(which they didn’t do much in Japan), but they served fried rice from the grill vs nicely cubed potatoes. Really? Fried rice? I’m pretty sure that’s more of a Chinese dish. I don’t think I ever saw fried rice in Japan. The Teppanyaki was pedestrian. I came back this year by myself and ordered the Yellow Fin Sashimi and Chicken Teriyaki with miso soup. The sashimi came out first. The portion was generous, served on a bed of fresh finely shredded daikon radish with wasabi and ginger on the side. The fish was fresh smelling(not fishy) and expertly prepared. The flavor was mild and pleasant while the texture reflected its freshness; firm with the right amount of give to the bite. After the sashimi came the miso soup. Hot with fresh spring onion and a little tofu. Not too salty. Then came the Chicken Teriyaki served atop onion and sprouts all sizzling on a hot cast iron plate with a small bowl of white rice. The rice was served its authentic Japanese«not quite cooked right to the American palette slightly dry» style. The chicken was overdone and a little tough, though not completely dry. Honestly I had better Teriyaki Chicken from street vendors in Nago for 300 yen(roughly $ 2.70 at the time). This entrée really is an example of bad Japanese street faire. I’ve eaten a lot Japanese street food. Put another way, it was some awkward version of «Japanese Fajitas». For $ 35 out the door, I’d rather have ordered more sashimi for my money. I’ll come back for the sashimi. Service was good, not over-solicited, but prompt with the refills(no free refills in Japan, so they’ve got that).

Excellent food! Only place that I would eat for Japanese food. Great place to take friends and celebrate. If your just visiting you will not be disappointed with the food here. No one in town has this quality of food for sushi and teppan.

Cons; cold place, half ass staff, new cook on grill, food was cooked so slowly at one at a time that everything on my plate became cold. The freaking grill is so large that it was insane to cook one thing at a time. Cook was trying to hustle customers to buy him a drink. Quality of food was low. Pros: sushi was decent. Food would of been decent if warmed and cooked in a normal fashion. Honestly, it was New Years and it was one of the only places open that offered sushi. Never going back

I gave this place a 3 stars… The food was aight… If you’re in the mood for teppanyaki then you better go to Tokyo Garden. The guy cooking for us was very friendly and nice. We enjoyed his company, but the food was over cooked. If I ever came back I wouldn’t regret it because like I said… The cook was very nice and we had a pleasant experience w him.
