First review after numerous visits, so here it is! The teas are perfectly brewed, at least every time I have been here. They have boba and jellies as add-ons to the teas(mango, strawberry, lychee, green apple flavored). My personal favorite is the mango jellies! They’re boba and jellies have a perfectly soft, yet chewy consistency that’s hard to get at many boba bars. The smoothies taste great, but can be a little on the sweeter side(even the«real fruit» smoothies) so be cautious if you don’t have quite the sweet tooth! The food menu consists of finger food snacks: egg rolls, popcorn chicken, tater tots, and chicken wings. All served with a choice of side sauce such as ranch, ketchup, sriracha, or sweet & sour. They all have an array of flavors/seasoning that you can select(except the egg rolls, they’re just good ‘olé egg rolls!). I have tried all the food, but not all the flavors. Thus far, I would highly recommend the buffalo chicken wings, lemon pepper popcorn chicken, and the ranch tater tots! They’re sooo good! Portions served are definitely worth the price, which won’t cost you much more than the price of a drink, $ 3-$ 5. The employees are always kind and super helpful if you can’t decide what you want or what you’re in the mood for. They’re also pretty quick at getting your food and drink out, so long waits are not a problem here! A notable feature of this tea bar is their happy hour on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6 – 9 pm, where you get a large drink for the price of a regular. Usually their busiest times, but it’s worth it if you’re feeling extra thirsty! All in all, the service, drinks, and food have been awesome every time. If you’re bored of the same old stuff, head to Tea Bar and try something new. You won’t regret it! Ps: there’s FREEWIFI! Yaaaas!

Am not a real connoisseur of tea, but was intrigued. First off the place is not easy to find off the street. Quite frankly, found this place by accident, so decided to try it. It is small but cozy and the employee was very helpful in helping us pick something. I had the Ginger Peach iced tea and my companion had the Pomegranate Green tea hot. We also considered ordering either one of their chocolate chip or Madeleine cookies. Our drinks came to a little over $ 6. We were both very pleasantly surprised with what we got. The teas they make are from loose leaf mixtures, so the fruitiness and lovely aroma really came through. If you are looking for an alternative to coffee this is a good place to go.

I tried this place for the first time and I was very hesitant bc I always have low expectations for any cultural places in Bakersfield aka cultural wasteland. I was craving a milk tea sooo badly that I had to cave in. I tried a honey milk tea with boba. It was alright. Enough to satisfy my craving. It was a bit too sweet for my taste. I think I’m too spoiled by tastea which is my fav boba place. My friend got a matcha green tea and she hated it. She said it didn’t taste like matcha at all. I don’t think I’ll be coming back. Maybe during the happy hours. It’s an average place but I’m glad there is at least one boba place in bako.

We asked for a Vietnamese coffee with no ice. The China girl came back with half a cup full and said we can fill it up with ice our self. Really? I said i paid for a large and expect a large cup of Vietnamese coffee that is not half full. I demanded a full cup(which I paid for). I will not be coming here again. DONOTCOMEHERE!!!

Yum! Just yum! We’ve gotten the coconut smoothie and strawberry banana and have gone again a second. Time and they tasted exactly the same and just as delicious. The service is always really good and they are super friendly. I can’t wait for summer, I will be there constantly!

I LOVE going here. I go here more then I go to some over-rated starbucks. Service is awesome, my boba smoothies are always great! I didn’t like the Taro smoothing, super buttery. But that had nothing to do with how they made it, mango smoothie is the BEST!

I’m a big tea connoisseur and try to find the best while out and about, there is nothing I can say bad about this place, service, employees attitude, all the different tea they offer perfect… just a great place all around.

They get two stars only for the friendly customer service. The tea is SOBAD. Flavorless, creamy, filled with ice and completely tasteless. We are huge bubble tea addicts and have driven to Ontario and Lancaster in search of a fantastic cup of bubble tea and those two cities did not disappoint! Now this tea was definitely a low point on our tea-ventures. We got the almond milk tea with boba. It was milky white with way too much ice. Tasted nothing like milk tea or almond flavor. The cups kept leaking on us every time we took a sip and the whole experience was so lacking that we decided to throw our $ 6 of tea away in search of something better and more authentic in this city. Sorry tea bar, you are definitely good for regular old steeped tea but your bubble tea game is very far off.

HH on Tues/Thurs from 6−9pm. You can get the large for the price of a regular drink — The green tea/macha frozen drink is great — Genmaicha is sub-par. It tastes like an herbal tea vs. roasted rice/green tea. — Boba is okay though i wish they made honey boba for more flavor.

I love Tea Bar! My favorite flavor has to be Taro. I’ve been here many times and I have never been disappointed. Every time I come I always tell myself I’m going to try a new flavor but I always end up getting taro since it’s so good!!! Today I noticed a food menu right by the cash register. I have never tried any of their food items so I’m going to have to check it out. I’m a huge fan of boba. Boba is fun, chewy and addicting. Tea bar has other options to add to your drinks like lychee and fruits, but if you’re like my 10yr old and don’t like different textures then you’re probably gonna take your teas or smoothies plain and to be honest, it’s awesome like that too. Boba just makes the drinks fun. If you have never had boba before then you absolutely need to check it out at tea bar!!!

Great Boba place in Bako,(maybe the only one?) But staffs are friendly and helpful with the Menu. I would love to see more people piling up inside lile the typical Boba places in OC, but nobody in line, no complaints here! Tastes are delish, comparable to the really good ones in SoCal.

Had a lot of different options to choose from. Some specialty drinks as well. Got the jasmine milk tea with boba. Wasn’t the best tasting jasmine milk tea I’ve had, probably wouldn’t order it again. Tasted watered down. The actual Boba balls were good. Could tell h They have them fresh as it was chewy but not hard. The popcorn chicken was a generous amount especially for $ 4. Staff was friendly. Could see me spending a lot of time here reading, studying or just sitting around. Will definitely be back… since it is one of the only Boba placed in town. But wasn’t bad as well.

Boba!!! Nuff said! Lol well… I’ll say more. When it’s coconut jello season– hold me back! They make coconut jello that is simply out of this world!!! Seriously. Their honeydew smoothie is one of my favorites. They have great customer service aaaaand a DRIVETHRU! I just wish they had cup sizes larger than their large.

Boba! Boba! Boba! Having gone to high school in the San Gabriel Valley, milk tea boba had become a bi-weekly event. Although I don’t drink it as often anymore, it’s nice that there is a GOOD and affordable boba place in town! It definitely where I go to get my boba fix. The staff has always been very courteous & prompt. I only wish that the décor & furniture was more inviting to actually hang out at.

My family and I LOVE their boba. It’s always fresh. They’re always quick which is a big plus. We usually use the drive-thru. I get the passion fruit or mango with extra Boba. Best boba place in town. I’ve had others and they’ve served me with old boba. Yuck. Quick, friendly and yummy. Oh and don’t forget your card. You get a stamp per drink. I think after 10 one is free.

If you are ever in the mood for Boba tea or smoothie, you have to try this location! This is definitely one of the best places in Bakersfield that you can get an awesome, sweet Boba drink! If you never tried Boba you have to try it! I seriously recommend you try their Taro flavored smoothie, which they provide in slushy/crushed ice or regular iced form. They used to have a rewards card program where if you buy 10 drinks you get your 11th free, but they discontinued that… But that doesn’t mean I won’t stop visiting the Tea Bar! Also, the location is small but it’s the perfect place to get a small group of friends to chill and chat to catch up with one another in their comfy seats inside. One of my favorite places to grab a cool drink during the summer months!

5 stars for the boba teas. They’re menu is huge and a bit overwhelming, but you won’t hear me complain about the plethora of yummy options! Only gripe: this place is usually quite busy and with only 2 people working, expect to wait a bit for your tea. The good news? It’s well worth the wait!

Small place with a few tables and comfortable seats. Nice décor. So many choices and combinations. I like the Honeybush Hazelnut Rooibos sweetened with soy milk. Wife likes the Ginger Peach flavored tea with milk and boba. Nicki Minaj is one of their more popular drinks I was told. It is a mixture of mango mélange herbal tea, lemon tea, and a shot of watermelon. I thought it was ok. Sometimes the drinks are very yummy. Other times they are not. Seems to depend on who is making the drinks. Lack of consistency. Depends on the barista who is making the drinks. Tea bar is consistently clean, though. Service has always been friendly as well. Bottom line is that for Bakersfield, the Tea Bar is a fine option. If they were in the L.A. area, then they would be just okay.
