So me and my friend just went to firehouse to try and catch some of the Supercross races we walked in and were greeted by the hostess who said that the Supercross races were being played in the back side of the restaurant as we got to the back side of the restaurant there was no TV that had Supercross on so we sit down and a very attractive waitress comes up and asked us if we would like anything to eat my friend says can we get the Supercross races on one of these TVs she says sure I’ll go let somebody know and then we didn’t see her again for about 15 – 20 minutes and at which point she came back up to us and asked if we wanted anything to drink but we were more concerned with the races not have been put on she said she would go check on that and that was the last time we saw her they briefly put on the races for maybe 5 minutes but after that 5 minutes they put on UFC so we moved to the dining side of the establishment where we had to wait another 10 or 15 minutes for anybody to even know we were there once somebody did notice that we were there we asked them if they could have somebody change the TV to Supercross on the dining room side it’s pretty much the same thing that happened on the back side of the house we asked the same person three times and she said she would go check on it and it never happened we finally got drinks and finally got food after about half an hour of waiting for them to ask us. So long story short the race never got put on and we couldn’t get out of there quick enough all in all it was a horrible restaurant and there was this one dude that was walking around that looked like he hated his life and look like he wasn’t doing anything but walking around and wouldn’t even talk to any of the tables I wanted to punch him in the face and say now you have a reason to walk around looking like you hate your life

HORRIBLE service! If they know they get alot of business on the weekends, which they obviously do, they need to make sure theres enough waitresses on the floor and that they know what the heck they’re doing! These ladies were sooo confused we almost felt bad for them. We had four different waitresses ask us if we’d like to order food after we had already ordered. Then the men that brought the food out had no idea where the waitress had moved us. Then when our checks came, they were all mixed up and she had to call the manager to get them fixed. It was just a hot mess. The place is way too crowded for the waitresses and management to handle. They need to get their stuff together because the food isn’t bad. Thats what the 2 stars are for.

Worst service. I have been here multiple times and ever time waitresses ignore me and my group.

This place is straight up awesome. There’s a lot of games to play and things to do. Played pool here and it was fun and they have a lot of cool arcade games as well. After we played the games, we had wings and pizza and they were delicious! No problems at all with the food. They also had bowling which seemed fun, but I didn’t get to do that. Overall, I had a great time here, and I would definitely recommend this place to a friend! :)

family and I went in on a weeknight and had a little birthday gathering in the bowling alley. service was great. food was delicious and the kids/everyone had so much fun. it was our first time and our server Lilly was helpful and attentive. party coordinator Lynett was friendly. no complaints. we would definitely come back here again on a weekday since its expected to be less busier than the weekends.

We had a great time bowling at the Firehouse we reserved two lanes at 5:30 on sat lanes were ready on time we had our own waiter who checked on us the whole time. The lanes were very nice and clean. We had one lane with bumpers and the ball ramp great setup for the kids with all the lights and music it was blast. They also had the football game next to score card screen. It was $ 100 to reserve the lanes which goes towards your entire purchase we paid $ 10 a person for 1 hour which was plenty of time to finish our game. The price is alittle higher then other bowling in town but u get what u pay for I wouldn’t go bowling at any other places here in Bakersfield. We also got some food a cheese pizza, garlic cheesy bread which arrived pretty fast and tasted good. We were worried about it being a bar but the bowling is separate in the back but u can order drinks. We will be returning.

My review is on a cool place to hang in Bakersfield. This place has grown since I came here many years ago. They have about 20 pool tables, a basketball arcade and a full service bowling alley. Lots of beer :) The food is well this is a great place to hang out :)

If this place was ADULTS only it would be way better. I come here on a Friday night after a long week, the last thing I want is kids walking in front of my dart game or asking if they can use them. If you want a waitress to come get your order, don’t come here. This place could be so much better…

I wish I could give these guys zero stars or, barring that, maybe nuke the whole building and start over. This place is a serious hellhole. Where do I even start? I went here with a buddy to watch a hockey game during the playoffs. I know they probably don’t get many hockey fans, especially with the NBA playoffs going, but I figured they could accommodate us with just one TV, considering they have about 50 in there. I ended up having to show the manager how to work the TV, then moving three times until I found a station that had it. The waitresses are really fucking hot here. Like REALLY hot. But get a good look, because you’ll only see them once! They take your drink order, and your food order and you will never see them again. If you want another beer, just go to the bar and get your own. It’s quicker. Combine all this with the tons of loud noise, drunk dude-bros, douchebags from the gym next door, and pretty medicare food, you get one of the worst restaurant experiences I’d had in years. I couldn’t get out of here fast enough. Don’t waste your time or money here.

This placed is not that great when I first wanted the restaurant portion I was not not greeted. They have a sign saying please wait I waited for over 10min a server told me some one would be right with me. Once I was seated it took a while for the server to come the joint wasn’t even busy the server came and took my drink order and it also took a while to receive that. I ordered an appetizer and my meal it took a while for the food to come they brought up the appetizer and my meal at the same time. The quality of the food is not good at all and it is overpriced the the taste and Quality. The nachos were pretty good but other than that I was not to satisfied. After my meal my kids did some bowling it’s 10 dollars per person per hour they had a great time but it’s not really a place for children they have an area where you can place bets on different events. I probably will not return to this restaurant.

We decided to try the Firehouse since we had never been there. The interior kind of reminded us of famous Dave’s. A little noisy but not too bad. The wife had the chicken teriyaki and I had the ribeye. Both were flavorful being well seasoned. We peeked at the food on other tables and it looked very good. Huge hamburgers and nachos piled high. We may return and try their burgers.

The service at the bar was atrocious, the bar area wasn’t that packed, they had 3 bartenders and non of then could multi task. I spent an hour here and all I had was one beer, the thing that upset me the most was when the female bartender asked what we wanted and then as we are telling her our order she wasn’t paying attention and she walked away.

One if my favorite places to chill in. It’s a big area with plenty of things to do. You can watch a game or play air hockey lol whatever works. It’s never crazy busy when I go(which is probably bad for them) but I like it like that. Service from the waiters and who I’m guessing is the manager is basically always on point. It’s the bartenders that are a bit wobbly at times. Sometimes they’re great other times they can take forever to make a simple drink even when it’s pretty empty. Basically I’m happy with everything except the unpredictable bartenders… They could use a little work. Put some hockey on and I’ll be there

Poor management. Make sure your staff is big enough for the business! One server(i think her name was Kayla) for a bunch of tables. ONE. Naturally food and drinks are going to come out late and/or forgotten completely because there’s only ONE server for all of these tables. And these tables are large groups of people! The food was okay. My potato skins were missing green onion. I think most people probably wouldn’t even notice something that small, but i realllllly like green onion so i was a bit disappointed with that. And the wings were cold. Kayla was awesome though. She did the best she could. The bathrooms were also pretty gross. Some toilets unflushed, urine left on the toilet seats, empty mugs of beer by the sink. And there’s only one faucet by the way. With a restaurant that big and busy, you would think they would have more than one. But they don’t. Just one.

I’m not big on spots like this to go have drinks, but my husband loves having dart boards, pool tables, and other things like that available when he’s drinking. It’s always a little too busy each time I go. Last night they were charging $ 25 per person to be in the pool table area because of a boxing match… No thanks! The patio is spacious, and the bAthrooms are clean– two things I really appreciate. Drinks were weak, I had to order a double to feel like I wasn’t having juice, and they also doubled the juice! Which is not what I had in mind… But overall, it was an ok spot to chill.

I really liked this place. Bought a Groupon to bring the kidos to bowl. It is a bar/restaurant therefor you don’t want to be with kids late at night, well that’s just my opinion. Very easy to use Groupon, and service was outstanding. I would come here again to use bowling alley, and pool tables. Place is clean.

$ 18 for a pitcher of 805. The hell is wrong with them? The pool tables are generally nice. They also have bowling. Yeah, people get sloppy in here, but I guess it is a full blown sports bar after 9ish. Also, security is retarded. You can sit and watch them pick arguments with people who aren’t even being a problem. Kinda funny actually.

Literally the WORST. I’ve been here twice now. The first time was just to hang out with friends and celebrate while they all drank and I had some food. Our waitress was virtually nonexistent. This is the only place I’ve ever been where an appetizer takes an hour plus to come out. We decided to try it again because that was a fight night and we figured service was just crappy when they are busy. We went again last week. The waitress we had was in training and surprisingly opened up the night decently. She brought us drinks decently fast and only had a few awkward moments for being new. Her trainer, however, basically stood around and occasionally came by to seemingly try and catch her dog something wrong and to one up her. It was bizarre. We noticed the higher up staff was drinking together at the bar and the bartender was rarely actually in the bar. Anyways, it took about an hour to get food again and our appetizers came out at the same time as dinner. What’s the point!!! Then our waitress disappeared. We waited and waited another hour for the check and finally had to ask someone to bring us our check. Luckily, the food was decent so we weren’t totally upset. The drinks were rare and inconsistent though. Overall, it was totally unprofessional. Poor training from poor wait staff. This place is a good idea, it is just executed by inexperienced staff that has no idea how to provide customer service.

Fyi, I’m not a pro. I’m an average dude who loves to eat. I started Unilocaling so I could help others find delicious places to eat. So, I normally write Unilocal reviews to give my opinion on food. I’m a foodie and I try new places mostly to try the food. I’m the kind of the guy that can get shitty service and not care as long as the food is great. Service is one of the things I care less about. HOWEVER, I am actually writing a review because of service. It was that bad. If you notice, there are 26 other reviews that Unilocal doesn’t «recommend.» These are people who probably had a terrible experience at The Firehouse but aren’t on Unilocal. They had such a bad experience that they decided to make a Unilocal just to write bad about this place. Though Unilocal doesn’t «recommend» these reviews(because they’re considered spam), I do. I went through a few and all of the ones I read are SPOTON. If you want an honest review of The Firehouse, read those reviews. I will share with you my experience. I went to The Firehouse with a group of friends to try out the new bowling lanes. Great idea of them to add bowling lanes. Props for that. No props for the fact that the lanes have so many kinks and the staff doesn’t know how to run them. While we were bowling, the lanes turned off on us at least 3 times. We had to wait for about a total of 30 minutes for them to have maintenance come in and fix the lanes. We had two lanes and since one was down we had to wait on both which made no sense. So 30 minutes of no bowling while we were still being charged. Not being cheap, just fair. That’s wait number 1. While we were waiting for maintenance, we tried to take our mind off the problem by talking amongst ourselves and drinking our drinks. Only problem was, we were still waiting for our drinks which were ordered at least 20 minutes before. So not only was the maintenance staff lagging, the waitresses were lagging too. Wait number 2. After those two issues we were still able to have fun that night, though the neighboring lane complained about our noise. I’ll make note that this is a bar. I think old people just forget that bars are loud. I recommend Barnes and Noble for them. No harm no foul. When we decided to call it a night, we tried to close out our tabs and pay; however, the girl at the cashier was busy and asked us to guess what… Wait. She said she’d come over when ready. So we went back to our seats by the lanes and waited. We did not continue to bowl. While we waited we ordered a pitcher of beer to hopefully aide the little bit of patience we had left. 20 minutes later no beer and no cashier girl. We went back to the cashier and asked if we could pay, and again she told us she would come to us(while she was«helping» a customer and on her phone). Came back to our seats and no beer. For the last time, we went back to the cashier and she finally came to our seats to give our shoes back. When she brought our shoes she said«I’ll be write back with each of your tabs.»(Wait number 3, 4, 5, and… I’m losing count.) Can you guess what happened next? We waited another half hour for our tabs and nothing. So we are about an hour in of waiting after we completely stopped bowling. Wait number 6. To make a long story short, we finally were able to get some kind of receipt. It was not our individual tabs as promised instead one big bill. The order was extremely complicated and the waitresses had no idea who ordered what so they put it all on one bill. The charges for the bowling lanes were charged twice and then explained by the manager, which she did an okay job of doing. However, when I asked for some kind of compensation(gift card) since we are regular customers, she have me this«wtf» face and asked me what I didn’t understand about the bill. I didn’t give a fuck about the bill at this point. How about the fact that you were very unorganized, the waitresses were useless, we were waiting for an hour/hour and a half, and it seemed as everyone including the manager were still in training. PLUS, it was a slow Wednesday night. The staff knew they were fucking up left and right and no one offered up any type if reconciliation. Rather they said«sorry.» Well I’m sorry I’m not able to give negative tip. I’m just glad this happened to me rather than some hot head who may have exploded in that restaurant. The owner should really consider prioritizing his search based on brains over boobs for his employees. My advice: it’s probably best to avoid this place or go in a group no bigger than 1. That’ll help the waitresses add up the charges. Oh and we ordered a turkey sandwich with fries. It was good.
