I’ve been here a few times and have mixed reviews. The food is just ok and their beer selection has improved but as far as a trendy place to meet people in Bakersfield this is still a great spot. Spent yesterday afternoon playing connect four with a friend and tried a couple of beers.

I went on a Saturday night and I really enjoyed myself. They had a wide variety of beers and had some wine offerings. They’ve expanded their menu since opening. I had the artichoke hearts and they were great. It did take us awhile to get the one appetizer, probably 25 minutes. The service vastly improved and I love that they have some card and board games available to play.

Came here and had a great time, I’ll give 5 stars for service, 5 stars for delicious beers, even 5 stars for the fries with the cheese sauce. But whoever came up with that nasty chicken strip recipe needs to get some taste buds, cuz it was 100% disgusting. They had no flavor period and were hard and chewy and crusty. If you insist on having homemade chicken strip recipe make sure it does not make your customers barf in their mouths. I should have sent them back but I hate doing that, I took them home for the dogs and left hungry. Loved the beer, top notch. I’ll return for that for sure. Not sure if I’ll try the food again.

I’ve only been there for lunch and have not had their beer yet. The Temblor hamburger was amazing, all fresh and juice; probably one of the best burgers I’ve had. I love their sweet potato fries and the chicharron(Pork skins) as an appetizer is a most. Very relax place, very spacious and games to keep you busy. Strongly recommend.

I’ve been here about 4 – 5 times, and my experiences have been pretty good! I like the beer selection, and I feel like they have something for everyone, as long as you like beer. The food has been great too, with a decent selection. The area is huge and feels pretty relaxed. They have entertainment going every night too so that’s nice. My biggest annoyances about the place are how orders are done. If you’re sitting at the bar it’s not that bad, just the wait times can be a little long. Elsewhere, you have to get up and go wait in line to place any food or drink order, and then someone brings it to your table. I’ve just been sitting at the bar out of convenience at this point. An actual waiter system would be nice. My final impression is: I’ll still go back here to check on what new beers are around(and when I crave their cheese fries), but I’ll alternate with other similar pubs in the area. It’s definitely worth a visit if this is your thing.

We stopped at Temblor on the drive back home from the Sequoias, so the location was very convenient for us, just a couple minutes off the 99. My husband is a beer fan so this was much better than the usual road trip fare like fast food, or Denny’s. Another plus was the outdoor seating since we had our dog with us. It was very warm and there are no misters, but there was a light breeze. I had the Temblor Signature Salad with blackened salmon and it was a good portion. It first arrived with chicken but the server quickly fixed it. I enjoyed it but I think salad is always a pretty safe bet. My husband enjoyed the Signature burger and the fries were good, crispy and seasoned well. We also got the mac and cheese, which we’re split on. I thought it was pretty bitter but my husband enjoyed it(and finished it). If we’re passing through, we’d probably stop again. Service was friendly and it’s great that the outdoor seating allows dogs. I called another brewery in the area that didn’t, even though they had a patio too. If it’s not so hot next time, I may try the veggie burger. I like that there’s a good amount of meatless options.

This has become my go-to spot for hanging out with my friends when we don’t have other plans. It’s large so if you get there at a decent time you will get a table and your choice of games. We usually aim for Star Wars Monopoly. Sometimes there is live music. I feel like there could be a better system for ordering. There is a line for people who are only buying beer and one for people buying food and beer but both are usually pretty long. Your food gets brought to your table though. I’ve had their flat bread, chicken fingers, and a burger and all have been fresh and delicious. They’ve now started serving wine, which I really appreciate because I am not a big beer person. The bathrooms have one of those communal sink areas which are becoming more popular. The atmosphere is really great for hanging out with friends while enjoying an adult beverage. We usually end our night with a game of corn hole. My favorite area is in the back with the leather couches and the table that has a planter in the middle. Good job, Temblor! Oh, also, my friends and I came to see the Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra here one night which was pretty rad.

This place is pretty neat inside they do make Different craft beers that you could buy their food’s not bad it looks to be very busy on the nights and weekends there so get there early it’s just right across the street from the courthouse if you’re have to pay a traffic fine so the best suggestion is to go there have a drink first then go to court and pay your fine no just kidding

Been here a few times and just cant seem to leave satisfied, well at least with either their beer or food. I did catch a comedy show and it was great. I have tried their pretzel bites and fried artichoke hearts. For $ 5 they give you a lot of each, however the artichokes are just bland and the sauce was not very good. The pretzel bites were good, soft and warm, however the mustard sauce blasted with beer was absolutely horrible. It is nice that you can now order food from the bar. The beers. I have tried almost all of them, and just cant find one that I would want to come back for. So, unless there is a cool comedy show or musician scheduled, in their small venue(connected to the main brewery), I just don’t see a reason to come back.

Shorter review on this one since I was just here for lunch and didn’t get a chance to try out any of their beers. Typical pub style. You order at the bar, get your own drinks, and sit where you like. The atmosphere was nice. Lots of places to sit, very high ceilings so it feels open, and their brewing equipment is open right next to the lobby with a low wall so you can watch them at work. Pretty cool, as someone who used to brew beer avidly for quite some time, it entertains me to watch them at work. Food was excellent though! One of their signature items was the pork skins. They were fresh, and worlds better than the stuff i remember eating from the bag in my youth. The burger i ordered was great! I didn’t get anything fancy, just a regular ol’ cheeseburger, but it was juicy, big, and delicious. I will definitely be back for more.

Move over Lengthwise, there’s a new player in town and it is fast becoming a fan favorite. For those of you who are Bakersfield natives or have lived in town from during the 90’s to the early 2000’s, you’ll recognize Temblor’s location being in the same shopping center as HomeBase and Costco. How’s that for a Bakersfield throwback? …but if you’re not sure about those references, Temblor is located in the same area as Traffic Court and Rush Sports. Temblor has a great selection of beer and delicious food. My personal favorites are the chicken strips, Bahn Mi, onion rings and sweet potato fries. Beer wise, I’m a fan of the Pierce Road(kind of a poetic name since Temblor Brewing Co is located on Buck Owens and Buck Owens Rd was once known as Pierce Road). The Pierce Road is a delicious oatmeal stout. While driving it, you’ll be able to pick up some flavors such as the caramel and black chocolate. Another favorite is Under and Blood Orange Sky — Temblor’s take on the Belgian Wit. I have noticed there are a selection of IPA’s…and since I’m not a fan of IPA’s, I don’t care to leave a comment because I want you to be the judge for yourself.(Hell, live a little and order a flight of beer. At $ 8, its a bargain!) If you’re not drinking beer, you’ll still have fun. The locale is VERY spacious with large tables. You will not feel like you’re on top of your neighbor… and if you feel like playing games, feel free to grab one of their many board games, deck of cards or get ready to play corn-hole. Temblor will not disappoint. Give it a try.

I’m always happy to find a new brewery — especially when they are crafting some good beer. There are a few of the newer ones out there(and a few that have been around awhile) that haven’t found their way to really good beer yet. They do serve food here and I had a pretty good BBQ chicken pizza. But on to the important stuff: As I rated on Untappd: Street of Bakersfield — west coast IPA — pretty good, 3.25 stars. Pierce Road — oatmeal stout — also solid, 3.25 stars. Meeting People Is Easy — DIPA — respectable 3 stars. British Steel — English IPA — really good and interesting — some smooth and creamy body like an English pub ale coupled with a bit of mild IPA character 3.5 House of Pain — IPA — another solid brew. 3.25

This place is huge! As for the beer it’s just above brew pub par. Nothing to get a growler of in my opinion except maybe The Facilitator. The food is much better than the beer, at least compared to the Bahn Mi sandwich I had which was hella spicy but in all the right ways. I would pick a few other spots to re-visit but maybe your taste is different. The guy next to me was eating wings that smelled awesome as well. All in all I’d say it’s a decent spot but I’m not writing home about it.

Was on a business trip working near by. Found this place and decided to give it a try for lunch. I was on a health kick so I ordered the veggie burger which is usually hit or miss. Lucky for me it was a legit veggie burger with grains and veggies in it! The fries it came with had the perfect crisp! I was very pleased. So pleased My coworkers and I went back for dinner!!! This time had the flatbread pizza. It was ok. Could have had more flavor to it. A few of the group ordered the chicken strips which seemed to be the overall favorite! The beers were great. Especially the blood orange one. If I travel through I definitely would stop by! They also have boardgames and great customer service!

Well to Temblor multiple times hoping that they will have realized the need for a Hoppy Beer. For some reason the brew master just doesn’t understand the need for hops like the West Coast fans like. The service is a little slow which is way better than it use to be. Their best is the Blood Orange and on my last visit the Streets of Bakersfield tasted like butter popcorn. This was not a good thing either. I want to say it was a bad fermentation. The food to me is not the 4 stars that Pete Tittl gives them. The place is nice and big and could really do good but they better start brewing some better tasting beers.

Good beer and delicious food! This is a great place to catch up or hang out with friends. It’s so open and the tables are large. If conversation gets stale– grab one of their board games to play! The décor is nicely done. We really enjoyed both meals we’ve had at Temblor. Their chicken and green apple salad is great and my husband has ordered the buffalo chicken salad twice now. Their salads are big and served in stainless steel bowls. Something about those bowls makes salads taste better. Their regular fries are delicious and crispy. We preferred the regular fries to their sweet potato fries. And I also like their veggie burger. It had great flavor. Food prices are decent too. They have quality food. As far as their beer– I got a flight. 5 tastes(4 oz glasses) for $ 8 is a steal! My favs were the Oktoberfest and Under a Blood Orange Sky. Very good! They are also rolling out new beers every couple weeks or so. My small issues with Temblor– If you sit at the bar you can order food and drink with the bartender. If you are sitting at a table then you have to walk up to the register to order food and beer. One line is for beer only and the other line is for food and beer. These lines take a while. Sometimes 5 – 10 minutes while they are pouring beers. Plus if you get the flight you carry it back to your seat yourself. I am sure these have been dropped numerous times already. The other night I debated having one more beer but decided against it because I didn’t want to stand in line again. I really think they could up their sales if they had waiters on the floor. Like their page on facebook! They host a ton of local events– concerts, comedy nights, and trivia nights. Can’t wait to go back on one of these nights!

My husband and I came to this place for the first time a few months ago for an UYE w a few Unilocalers. I don’t drink alcohol, but this place is not only for the alcohol drinkers… There’s something for everyone here. The one thing that catches my attention the moment you walk in is the atmosphere. The place is an open area… I love the setup! When you first walk in as you enter the building you see a bunch of board games to your right hand side which I thought was pretty cool. The food was pretty good. Me and my husband Peter P. shared and we ordered the bahn mi sandwich and an order of the chicharron. The homemade chicharron was quite good; however the bahn mi sandwich was mediocre. To me it was a little on the salty side, I guess it depends on your taste buds. The UYE was a hit, we had an opportunity to sit and chit chat w some fellow Unilocalers. Loved the fact that we were able to interact w our Unilocal ambassador Mckenzie as she’s usually sooo busy keeping things in tact during OYE’s. Overall, it was great meeting up w Kevin, Sheryce, Paul, Lulu and her clan, Felix, Leticia and Eli and his friend, hope to see everyone again soon at future UYE’s.

I love spending my lazy afternoon Saturdays here. When its hot outside and I just want a cold beer and some finger foods. Its very casual and open with an easygoing atmosphere. Its like a bar without the bar scene. Great place to just relax, chow down, and watch football. You seat yourselves. Order beverages at the bar, and ordering food is on the other side of the building. Their menu is basic with a minimum of about 10 – 15 items. I had the beer flight with an order of sweet potato fries and chicken strips. The fries were delicious and the strips were crispy. Overall, two thumbs up!
