I was surprised at such low reviews for this place, but many seemed to be about cleanliness and not the quality of the pizza. I see the one on Ming Ave. got higher reviews, so I took a chance on this one, since I was on foot and staying at the Residence Inn across the street. I’ve stayed at this hotel off and on over 20 years and had never heard of this place, but they were serving clam chowder at the hotel(gag), so it was time to try something new. I got the small combo, great toppings and crispy crust. Lots of flavor. I did get it «to go“and I can understand the other reviews about the cleanliness. It seemed dark, and could use a good sweep. But I was totally satisfied with the pizza quality. Minus one star, the service was good, but not great. Of course it was 100 degrees outside, so hard to be perky. And to think I was going to get Domino’s. Will try again if down here in Bakersfield.

Tried a slice of the Chile Verde pizza at Tejon Outlets(slices no longer offered though) and really liked it, so my family decided to give the restaurant a try. The pizza stood up — a very unique offering that’s also very tasty, and if I was just reviewing the food, Tonys would have gotten 4⁄5. Unfortunately, they charge extra for sides of ranch and refills in sodas! Sorry, but being cheap costs you 2 stars at minimum. Get with the 21st century if you want return customers. I liked the food, but doubt I’ll be back, except maybe for a slice of the Chile Verde. Oh yeah, no delivery either :-/

Tony’s became my favorite pizza place since the place near me moved out of reach. Being right off the freeway it was a no brainer to order for pick up on the way home. One visit and it was an easy step up. They easily became my favorite: ingredience were obviously fresh, quality cheese, lots of ingredience on top and good price(especially for the quality you are getting). I hate greasy pizza — usually caused by cheap cheese or meat. Tony’s is great. Only ever had a mixup on my order and they not only made i right but gave me a second pizza as a compliment. Never had an issue with the service; pleasant enough and not plastic. You’ll catch me there all season long picking one up for Thursday night football. =)

So far i love this place. If ur ever looking for a pizza put of the ordinary you have to try Tony’s pizza. Their chile verde pizza is delicious as well as their chorizo. I always go there when in the mood of a Chile verde pizza. It is a bit pricy but yet again its not the usual common pizza

The pizza is ok, the wedges are pretty good, but the service … far from stellar. So I went in today and I ordered $ 37 worth of food … and guess what? Oh they cannot break 100 dollar bills… And not only that they were so RUDE about it, as if giving me $ 63 in change was going to break their bank. Really? The guy even tells me,” you can go to Chevron and break it”…Mmmm how bout noooo YOU can go to Chevron and break it! Then when I went up to get my food they were once again rude and the two chicks at the counter refused to make eye contact as if that would somehow excuse them from helping me. Mediocre pizza + poor service = I will not be back!

I’m from New York, so I’m picky admit pizza, this isn’t it. but not shabby.

Nothing special about this pizza. There really isn’t too much you can do to a pizza to make it awful. This pizza was ok BUT that’s just it… OK and for the $$$ no thanks. Way more bang for your $$ and better tasting in many other places. Tried it once but not worth going a 2nd time.

We ordered pizza, wedges, and wings. The food was all great just a little pricy. Will probably come back, but will consider rustys first before coming here. Overall good experience and good food, nice customer service and nice environment.

Mediocre… so I call from the hotel across the street. No delivery. I order my food(which is kinda pricy for pizza and wings) the girl behind the counter is pleasant, but I see someone from the back wipe his face… not sure if he washed his hands, but my pizza was already in the oven, hopefully someone with clean hands made it. The wings — ok flavor but the skin is gummy… needs to be cooked longer. The pizza had NO sauce… I got one with everything on it. It had like 5 cans of olives… you couldn’t even taste the other ingredients… Sooooo I won’t be going back, the bang is not worth the buck!

Grew up on Tony’s Pizza so I know what Im getting. The reason for the bad review is the service. Seems like every other time I go in there I have a problem and it is always cash related. Business’s that would rather inconvenience me by not accepting 100 dollar bills are ridiculous. Seriously, WTF is so hard about training your employees to NOTACCEPTFAKE100.00BILLS? Jeez, you can train a monkey to make my pie but you can’t train the chick working the register to spot fake bills? Seriously, disrespectful to not just the employee but to me. THECUSTOMER. Another thing it’s petty is charging for sides of Ranch and Jalapenos. I just spent, 28 bucks on a pizza that has 4 dollars worth of ingredients and you feel the need to bang me for 2 more bucks for 2 small sides of ranch and 1 small side of jalapenos? Not just TACKY, but REALLYTACKY. and delivery!!! really, grow up put your big girl pants on and deliver my damn pizza already. and please bring change for a 100.

This place used to be good. After, the two other locations this place dropped. It may be because the owners left and now spend their time at the Coffee, or Mt Vernon locations. We never had a bad order until recently. Our pizza came out completely wrong and they got my name wrong too. How do you confuse Erika with Maria? They don’t even sound similar! Our wrong order has happened more than once. We were so tired of it that we decided to just stop going to this location.

Pizza is the bomb here, wings are very plumb and juicy… If you want to eat here just stay away from the female manager. She hates her job and stares you down. Almost reminds me of the soup nazi from Seinfield. She freaked out on me taking pictures thinking I was taking pictures of her. Slightly conceded I think. Anyways I wish they had a all you can eat salad bar it looks good but I was being mad dogged by manager so I couldn’t take any pictures.

Cleanliness: we arrived at 11:23AM on a Saturday, they had just opened. The floors were sticky, tables covered with food particles, salt, Parmesan, etc. One of the employees was taking out trash, which I can only assume had been the previous night since they just opened, and drug 7 full trash cans by my table for 15 minutes. When we got our order, the top paper plate was stained with either soda or chew spit. In cleanliness alone I give this place a –1. Service: they aren’t friendly, don’t care about true customer service and yes they do charge for drink refills which is astonishing. Food: we ordered a salami and mushroom pizza and an order of breadsticks. The pizza was average but really lacked taste. The breadsticks were ok. Will I go back again? No Would I recommend this to friends? No Will I try the other locations? No Peace out Tonys pizza, thanks for the disappointment.

We’ve been waiting a total of fifteen minutes(with nobody ahead of us) for a small order of potato wedges. Really??? I find the Rosedale location to be a lot better. Completely unacceptable to wait this long for some potato wedges. The girls at the front aren’t very friendly either. Would it kill you to smile? Your life isn’t that bad.

The pizza was delicioso, yup, delicioso, yeah I said it! The inside décor is fire station decorated; axes, fire engines, firemen and hoses everywhere. There’s a salad bar and a small arcade inside that you need tokens to play. The fountain drinks are behind the counter now and they charge for refills and ranch when they didn’t use to. They have soda tea lemonade and beer to drink. The tables are a bunch of cafeteria tables(lol) they’re just a bunch of long tables placed elementary school cafeteria style. I enjoyed my pizza for two days though, the crust was tasty and the pizza was cheesey, so it was GOOD! Will I come back?.. I’ve been here many times, haven’t stopped… YET

My stepfather took me to Tony’s Firehouse Pizza tonight for the first time, and boy was I stoked! It is in the old Mervyns /Circuit City shopping center on California, near the 99 Freeway, tucked away back in the corner by the movie theater. The restaurant was decorated with a fire department theme. I hear tell that Tony himself is actually a member of the fire department, though I don’t have any firsthand knowledge of this.(Let’s be honest, who can resist the thought of a fireman running the place?) Anyway, the restaurant décor and atmosphere are very fun! The employees were all super friendly. The ordering set up is typical for a pizza place. You order and pay at the window and then seat yourself. The difference is they give you a restaurant pager to take to your table that lights up when your pizza is ready, then you go and get it yourself at the window. This was an amazingly wonderful idea! We didn’t have to be constantly paying attention and waiting to hear our name or number called out. We were free to get lost in deep conversation and rouse ourselves only when the pager started flashing its friendly blue lights. They have a nice salad bar, sandwiches, bread sticks, potato wedges, and hot wings available in addition to the pizza. On this occasion, my stepfather ordered the salad bar(one trip only) and everything looked very fresh, not wilted or browned in the least. We split a vegetarian pizza with the addition of pineapple. The pineapple appeared to be the canned kind, but it was chopped up into small enough pieces that it was easy to add to the top of the pizza without it falling off. All I know is that the crushed red pepper flakes and grated parmesan stayed on the pizza better when I sprinkled them over the pineapple. The pizza crust was thick, but not overly doughy. It had a nice crispness to both the top and the bottom of it, but the center was light and chewy. I don’t know what makes the sauce so good, but there was a little spice to it that I liked. The vegetables were sliced thinly, but piled high. I could identify onion, tomato, large pieces of spinach, green pepper, olives, and mushrooms. You got a little bit of everything in each bite, due to the thin slices and thick piling. I must admit that by the time we piled the pineapple on top it was getting quite tall and was a challenge to get all the way to my mouth without spilling all over my plate, but I like a good challenge. We both ordered water. Not only did they not charge us for it, but it came in big gulp sized styrofoam to-go containers. Yay! We will definitely be back, and on my way out I discovered they have another location in the Northwest that I’d like to try out too. Who knows, maybe I’ll even get to see a real fireman worthy of the calendars. A girl can dream, can’t she?
