came here with my brother. we both had zorbas bacon cheeseburger and we both thought it was really good. i loved how crispy the bacon was and they do not skimp on the avocado :) came out to $ 19 with fries and the drinks. they have a ton of options in terms of food(a lot of mexican plates). do not be fooled by the name! the place looks a little run down and the bathroom i think was outside of the building somewhere. there were a ton of flies inside. if i were to rate it on the food alone I’d probably give it 4 stars.

The best place to get takeout breakfast. they have the best breakfast burritos but i would not recommend the chicken salad.

This is a solid diner burger here, classic charbroiled flavor. The price is fair and the amount of food is great. Don’t expect to find a «heart healthy» menu here though, it’s most likely grilled or fried. Great fries especially with the seasoning, good thick cut onion rings(though the breading tends to fall apart and off), good fried mushrooms and the fried zucchini is thinly cut so you get soft french fry sized pieces and crunchy little pieces. If you’ve never been i recommend the sampler, it comes with fries, fried mushrooms, onion rings and fried zucchini. I personally like the triple cheese burger but my girlfriend prefers the double zorba with bacon. They also make a great breakfast, especially their breakfast burritos. Their in house ranch(which you can order up to a 16oz tub of!) Is fantastic especially if you’re a fry dipper like me, never got the tub though, just two normal sides is plenty for an entire large fry.

I ordered a Zorba combo. 11.50 seems crazy. and it comes with a small drink. glad that’s the only thing I ordered.

This place has good food is pretty busy but the big drawback has a lot of flies I need to control that issue yeah some good daily specials I enjoy their bacon cheeseburger they’re deep-fried mushrooms so if you’re in the Oildale area on Northchester stop by your enjoy it

For the price the food is hard to beat. The steak dinner is really good. The steaks have been consistently tender. I always order them medium rare and they’ve been perfect. I do wish the side dishes weren’t mostly fried foods.

All I ordered was a short stack of hot cakes. I’m pretty sure it was made with rotten milk. Absolutely gross. First and last visit. I hope no one got sick from their obviously spoiled ingredients.

I love the onion rings, fried zucchini, chili cheese fries, and burger and fries. They are not the cleanest place in the world

I would have to consider myself a fan of this place. I’ve only been twice, but both times I had fairly good diner food. The ambiance basically doesn’t exist here. The place is dated(and even that might be a bit nice), but the food is exactly what you expect and hope for at a greasy spoon. I had an Ortega burger($ 3.59, I think) the first time I went here and on the second visit a ¼ lb. cheeseburger(only $ 2.69, I think.) They also had a sampler platter that I ordered both times for $ 4.99 and it included fried mushrooms, fried zucchini and onion rings with two sides of their ranch dressing. The sampler platter literally arrives on one of their platters and is humongous. My dining companions and I didn’t finish half of the platter on either of my two visits to this place just because there was so much food. The burgers are thin and very tasty. I am pretty sure that the cheese on today’s cheeseburger was American cheese, nothing too fancy there. The parking lot is packed at lunch time and street parking is limited. They have a drive thru, too, though I’ve never used it.

Can’t say anything bad about this place. Grub! Always friendly, pretty speedy. Love the chili fries. Love the burgers. Love the gyros.

Try the hot salsa, it’s fantastic! Combo breakfast burritos are the jam. Burgers are pretty good, but nothing amazing. Fried appetizers are great! Zucchini, mushrooms and onion rings. All really good. Chili cheese fries with onions are tasty as hell. Get a small, it’s the size of a huge. Fries are always good and the portions are awesome too. If you get fries, make sure you asked for seasoned. It’s a game changer.

I play pool real close to here and I like to stop by for dinner sometimes I like the Pastrami dinner a lot and the quesadilla dinner was also very good, I was disappointed with the taco dinner however. Large selection at a fair price

If you’re looking for a decent meal of grease that is local, this is the place… and that’s not necessarily a bad thing! I usually get the burger or chicken strips here. We don’t normally get the specialty food because most places that overdo the menu are not good at all the aspects of it. The rule applies here. It really depends on what you’re ordering. I really enjoyed the fries and I have also enjoyed fried mushrooms and onion rings here. All good. Burgers yes. It’s just a good and greasy local fast food joint. The service is generally crummy too, so be warned!

I’ve eaten here on a few different occasions. The food is really just okay. I have only eaten burgers and fries from here. Their fries are usually pretty good. Sometimes, however, they do taste as though the oil hasn’t been changed in a while. The burger is a decent size, but the patty is thin and bland. Each time I have had one it has been a little on the cold side and the bun was soggy. The inside of Zorbas is pretty dirty. There is usually trash on the floor and the tables are slightly sticky. It’s not the best place to grab a burger and it’s definitely not a place I would choose to go on my own.

I end up eating here a lot because I live only a couple miles away(for another week anyway), and it’s kind of hit or miss. Most of the staff are really friendly, but there are a couple who are kind of short and bordering on rude. Their mexican food is horrible, and the drive thru takes roughly 800 years, so I usually call in an order then go pick it up inside. I get their chili cheese fries with onion a lot, which is usually pretty good. Sometimes the chili is too bland and runny so I normally get it on the side in case it’s an off day. They have sides of steak too that are only $ 4 and pretty decently sized, although thin. They’re really juicy and nicely seasoned though. My family raves about their breakfast burritos, but I hate eggs so I have no idea on those. And when I get hashbrowns they are perfect about half the time. Otherwise they’re burned and inedible. So… I’m not totally sure what the quality depends on as I typically see the same cooks when I go. But it can be awesome, okay, or kind of gross depending on the day. Haha.

Burgers and chili fries are delish. Wasn’t impressed with their burritos that everyone gushes about. A lil pricey but doesn’t disappoint.

This is an updated review: Unfortunately I wasn’t impressed with today’s service… I went through the drive thru and was there for a very long time. the lady taking the order wasn’t as friendly today, she seemed to be more worried about texting that taking my payment and giving me my order(see picture) I’ve never an update review but if management sees this, they should take action and help their employees have passion for their job. Finally, the burger was bland, flavorless. Fries had no salt. When I asked for a ranch, lady said«it’s .48¢» which I’m ok but eeh. just left

ZOrbas is a very great place to eat. they serve many great things. I highly recommend the breakfast burrito and the French toast! mmmmmm so delicious! Their salsa is great and they supply yellow peppers for the burritos. I believe that ZOrbas has the best breakfast burrito in town, come try it out very yummy.

Bummer it’s one of those no Coke, Pepsi type of place. But by far the best hamburgers, fries, and chili cheese fries I’ve had in Bakersfield.

I was in here based off the good reviews and somewhat dissappointed. The place was stacked out, and I could not believe how dirty the floor was, food trash etc. I ordered a pastrami combo. It was literally ready before I could draw a drink from the self serve fountain and sit down– not a good sign. The fries were very good so fresh they would burn you. The sandwich was not good. It was huge, but the pastrami was in a pan on the grill, I saw it, and must have been sitting in water. The bottom bun was sopping water, very un appetizing. They should go down to Frosty King and order a pasrami sandwich, then they would know how they are supposed to be. This is my first and my last impression of Zorbas as I will not return. The extra star is because everyone was very nice.
