Song Parody #556 Review 1,378 Unilocal 3652016 Review #31 3.4180501131001160192 Good Rather quick, this was my experience during lunch The exterior looked cleaned, only two customers at the time Food was satisfactory for something in a box, no complaints Bad I wish the walls were more decorative, I want to feel like I am in Japan Prices are steep for a bowl or a plate Parking is awkward during lunch Service was just okay, nothing exceptional to write home about Will I be back, I think so, I need to find out if this will be a go-to spot, since I work nearby. Sometimes I need some Japanese for the mood of my lunch. Song parody of Richie Valen’s 1958 song«We Belong Together» You’re fine You bring my eyes, such pleasure Want to have you, forever How I love Japanese Like wine I sip Teriyaki My sweet okusan dream Love you eternally You’re my, lunch baby and my dinner treat From Osaka to Tokyo You’re always, my valentine You’re mine You bring my heart, such pleasure Love you always, forever My Japanese dream

Unfortunately this Flame Broiler has horrible service, it appears the owner has hired many incompetent workers who either seem to hate their job, lazy, or just don’t care. My order is constantly messed up and I never actually get what I ask for and this hasn’t happened once but SEVERAL times. Also, sometimes the place is empty. Like literally, not even workers there. I’ve stood at the cashier register for literally 10 minutes without anyone showing up to take my order, and when a worker FINALLY appeared, they ignore me and wait 5 more minutes to ask if I’ve been helped. The owner really needs to do better supervising or you know, actually hire competent workers. It isn’t that hard. Also can you please take the time to ATLEAST train the workers you hire? Because they don’t even seem to know their own menu and at times have over charged me for no good reason other than them not knowing their own menu. Now the ONLY reason I’m giving this place 3 stars is because of the worker named Nancy. She is by FAR the best worker there and incredibly hard working! Like seriously, her boss needs to give her a pay raise or something because it seems she could do better. I do not personally know Nancy, however she is the only worker who actually does her job. You will ALWAYS see her working, never just standing around doing nothing or texting in front of customers(unlike her other coworkers). She always remembers my orders and has it typed in before I even say it most of the time, and you can always expect the order to be 100% accurate. To the owner: if it weren’t for this one worker, this place would have only earned 1 star in my book.

Worst one I’ve been to … I got like 2 grains of rice. Seriously smallest portion of rice I’ve ever gotten and the worst attitude coming in and my online order wasn’t even looked at –__– last time I’m ever going to a flame broiler

I like how their beef steak and chicken bowls taste better than Waba grill. You have the self-serve and drink station, so refills are free. The veggies are still crisp and not mushy like WG. Service was fast the two times I went. The only thing that’s keeping me from giving the 5 stars is they don’t have he salmon bowl or plate like the aforementioned place.

This flame broiler is the worst. Its my fourth time there, they never have white chicken meat, only one person working there doing the register and cooking no wonder why my food wasn’t cooked well. This place shouldn’t be open for business.

Ordered /paid ahead of time. Said 30 minutes max and came in a little after to make sure I didn’t have to wait … Guess what? I’m waiting as I type this. Ok food, not so ok service, especially for the price. Also asked for Sauce in bag and did not get it. Also very little meat … Will not go back.

Cashier is polite. The chicken bowl and rice are my favorite to order, I love having healthy fast food restaurant in Baldwin park.

Ok so I don’t expect much from«healthy» fast food place as far as service goes… But I was at the counter for a few minutes without being helped… Then one of the cooks saw me and asked me to wait while he got someone and then started ringing the bell because. the cashier was not coming and more customers were coming in… she came out… Didn’t apologize… but I didn’t really care cuz I was hungry and get my order in… But then she kept cutting me off while I was ordering… That is a huge pet peeve! Aside from that she acted so bothered that I was ordering… The place was dirty and not stocked… When a man saw me struggling with the hot sauce he asked her to refill it and even at that it was as if he had asked her for a free meal… I won’t be coming back to that flame broiler… oh and the only reason I gave it 2 stars was the cook got my order out quickly! So kudos to the behind scenes people!

Their magic sauce taste weird, it isn’t the same as other places, it is more salty. The salad doesn’t come with any dressing, I could of swore I used to get dressing at other flame broilers. The chicken is fatty and has more cartilage than I’m used to. I’m disappointed, flame broiler has raised their prices and lowered their quality. I doubt I’ll be back.

Great and healthy fast food and best of all, inexpensive. top it off with friendly staff… they’re always super nice, even when I show up with a coupon flyer. Try getting that at any of these other BP «restaurants». Glad to have a Taco and Burrito alternative :)

Nice to see that my previous review was deleted, it really is not my fault that I had a very subpar experience here. I’m not going to go write my experience In detail all over again but I will go over what upset me. I went a little over a month ago, 30 minutes before closing with my pregnant wife and my 4 year old son. We were hungry, and I told my wife about how great Flame Broiler is, and how I frequent the West Covina location next to work. My menu options were fewer, and I was told I could not eat there. I really did not want to take the food home because I love about 6 miles away and didn’t want to ear warm-ish food. Long story short, we didn’t get what we wanted and we ate in our car. The girl at the register didn’t apologize for anything. I’ll drive the extra 3 miles to the one in West Covina next time.

Im glad this place opened near me because ive always chosen this place over waba grill. Apparently this place opened over 5 months ago. The food here is just like any other flame broiler. Place was nice and clean. Customer service was awesome. Will definitely be coming back here again.

I was so excited to hear that a Flame Broiler was in Baldwin Park. I went and then quickly remembered the prices. The service here is fine, and the food — we’ll its rice and chicken or beef. But in Baldwin Park, there isn’t much of a selection if you want a rice bowl. $ 6 for a rice bowl is kinda steep — and don’t fall for the plate. Its the same size as the bowl, you get a slice of orange and some salad. Parking here isn’t so great. All the close parking is taken up by the guys working on their cars at Autozone(Im pretty sure thats a no no). Look, I like the food and the service is good. But paying $ 6 for a plain old rice bowl might not cut in Baldwin Park. I’ll go when I get coupons in the mail(Buy one get one free is awesome).

I decided to write a review because I was surprised with the food. I’m against fast food, but this time i am having Flame Brioiler as to-go. Angus beef plate: Great taste! Barbecue angus beef along with steamed brown rice. Orange and salad as sides. The beef pieces were pre marinated. I really like the meat because they sprinkled either lemon or orange on top of the bbq beef. This added a refreshing taste to the meat. Chicken bowl: bbq chicken meat pieces along with brown rice. This one is not as good as the angus beef plate, but it contains lower calories. If you are looking for the healthier fast food, this should be the one. Price: $. Take advantage of their coupons. Location and Parking: The restaurant is located inside a big plaza at baldwin park downtown area. There are plenty of parking spots there, so don’t ever worry about the parking. If you see a Flame Broiler or want to get some fast healthy food next time, give it a try. Flame broiler might surprise you like how it surprised me!

Food is pretty good but quite plain, which is to be expected since it’s so healthy. Bowl was already finished before I even finished ordering. Customer service is pretty good, understood my order and didn’t get it messed up. I ordered the«The works«and it filled me up nicely. Restrooms are clean, but they are not the typical big restroom with stalls, its just one personal toilet and a sink.

Great place for healthy food. Newly opened so everything is clean and fresh. Very close to park and community center. Food is healthy and I would like to come back! Food is healthy and worth coming for a meal after a long day at work or a gym sesh. This place is just like Volcano Hilo, not far from this location, because of the fact that you can choose to change your white rice into brown rice(obviously with extra charge) but I wouldn’t mind that if you are trying to eat wisely.

Update — Great place, they actually had my food ready before I even got to the cash register to order, it was a very pleasant surprise! :) I’m a big fan of Flame Broiler ever since I discovered it last year living in Orange County. Ever since moving back to the valley id drive to The Flame Broiler in Covina almost on a daily basis(I did say I’m a big fan. btw, I lost 15lbs) because it is the only location that is anywhere near where I live. When I saw the new Baldwin park location opened up I was so delighted, it’s a much shorter trip. The food was okay, unfortunately they got my order wrong. I always get the Mini Half and Half Bowl, brown rice and white meat, never anything else(which is how I lost the 15lbs) unfortunately I received a Mini Chicken bowl with brown rice, which was okay I guess but it wasn’t what I had paid for and I didn’t realize this until I had gotten home and by then I didn’t think it was worth the round trip. But oh well, everyone makes mistakes and I’m excited to give them another chance. They also offer this rewards program with your phone number where they offer pretty cool deals and stuff, I thought that was pretty neat since I hadn’t seen it at any other Flame Broiler I had visited. Another thing, they don’t accept bills bigger than $ 20’s here so keep that in mind. On a final note, I’m sure my review will improve with a better rating once I actually get to try the correct food bowl.
