Dear Barracudas’ waitstaff, I 100% apologize for my family last time we visited. –Rick Okay. now that that’s done: My NY family needed to be picked up in Baltimore after their spring break cruise. My short visit with them consisted of picking them up, driving them across the street for church, then going out to lunch. While in church(yeah yeah.) I Unilocaled restaurants nearby and Barracudas looked very promising. Barracuda’s immediately came off with that mom-and-pop feel to it. Our group of 6 showed up at noon on a Sunday and there weren’t many big tables on the first floor. We went upstairs and got our table, sharing the room with a party of ~20(post baptism — same church). The owner(I’m assuming — just a vibe) sat us and was very polite. Even dealt with my mom’s «You guys don’t just serve fish here do you?! Being ‘barracudas’ and all?’» well. The menus were clearly day-to-day as it was a handwritten photocopy. The portions were HUGE. We got a mix from chicken and waffles, to the shrimp and crab omelette. My mom also special requested a BLT(thanks, again). We also got a few of their vodka-strawberry drink things(house special). It was really good. I insisted my parents have one, and it definitely took a bit of their edge off. Thank you alcohol. All the food was great. There was a mix-up between our waitress and the kitchen apparently. We ordered a Po’Boy and got a Pizza. She said it was a language mix-up between her and the kitchen, but the ticket said pizza, so not sure how that happened. They fixed it, of course, but by the time the meal came out, everyone else was pretty much done eating and we took that meal to-go. Pricing seemed high at first, but after we saw how big the meals were, the price was definitely fair. Everyone was super nice and I’ll definitely go back if I’m around Locust Point again.

Small neighborhood bar and restaurant in Locust Point. A couple of interesting things. They have infused vodkas behind the bar. They also have one of the largest plates of nachos I have ever seen(Surf and Turf). Other thing I would recommend is the pork sandwich. If you are in Locust Point, stop in for a meal.

As a local bar, this place is totally deceiving. The food was awesome! My boyfriend and I started out with a delicious Bloody Mary that had a pepper infused vodka in it! Finally, a Bloody Mary that wasn’t too thick or too filling! Then we got the French onion soup, which was served in a crock pot. It was so tasty and the cheese reminded me of melted pizza cheese. Who doesn’t like that? As our main course we split the seafood club, which was huge and had bacon, lettuce, tomato, shrimp salad, and a crab cake. It was everything good on a sandwich. The house made chips served with the sandwich were also on point. The bartender was also really attentive and very friendly, even though we came in during the blizzard of 2016! If you’re ever in Locust Point and looking for a good local bar to grab a nice meal, check this place out!

Came here for a quick lunch with the hubby. Pleasantly surprised. Really good drinks. The bartender was very personable. Sat next to an older gentleman who has his name engraved on a gold name plate at the bar… The burger was excellent! Totally unexpected. I will definitely be back!

Visited Barracudas for lunch. They were having troubles with the plumbing, which was causing a major disruption for the owner and staff. But, even so, we had a fabulous meal with great service. The food was fresh, well-cooked and seasoned, and the portions were very generous. We ordered the Surf & Turf Nachos, which were piled high with shrimp and crab. We had the Crab Cake Sandwich — great flavor. And we ordered the Oyster Po’ Boy — super. The menu has a lot of other options, all of which look good. The ambience is great. If I lived anywhere near here, this would definitely become a regular spot for me.

Quite torn. Crabs are pricey($ 35⁄12), but I’m not sure about MD crabs. NJ(Cape May, $ 25 crab all you can) and MA(Cape Cod $ 25& up crab all you can) crabs are, IMO, much better and has decently prices. Their crabs and everything else were way too salty. And I love salty food! But from their soup to the crab cake to the crab and shrimp and lobster. And the fried calamari was not fresh; store bought, I believe. 3 stars for the staff, clean bathrooms and OK seafood treats. Sorry, really wanted to like you guys. You were highly recommended on Unilocal

Worked late one night and our boss treated us to dinner. Some of my coworkers swear by this place. So, we decided to try their takeout. The bar staff was very friendly and shared that our crab cake sandwiches would take 15 – 20 minutes. We waited, and waited, and waited. They took close to a half an hour, if not longer. Was starving. So, I took a bite of the sandwich in the car. Meh. I’ve had better. But, it’s a neighborhood bar, and not G&M or Timbuktu, which are famous for their crabcakes. I may return for drinks and apps.

This place is great for groups if you’re looking for something that has a variety of options to please everyone. We have been here multiple times and have never had issues with the quality or taste of the food. I especially recommend the surf ‘n turf nachos to share(I’d suggest splitting it at least 4 ways) since they’re HUGE and delicious. They definitely spotlight their seafood dishes, which always taste fresh. I don’t usually like my fish tacos battered, but they do a great job of them here and the accompanying slaw and rice are delicious as well. As Chris B. and David B. have mentioned, their service is sometimes lacking. We’ve had orders forgotten, both of food and drinks, a couple of times. But once we brought it to the staff’s attention they have always done their best to make it right. They have excellent drinks, too!

Hit this place up with coworkers when in town for a conference. We just wanted a couple of beers and this place delivered. They had a strong beer selection(with great IPAs) and were perfectly friendly. I was there on a knee scooter and they helped me find a place to stash it so it was out of the way. Not every place will do that. I want to go back for the food — it smelled amazing!
Came here for a quick casual dinner without any expectations, but was very pleasantly surprised as the food started to come. We were able to get a seat pretty easily around 8:45 on a Saturday, but that might have been since so many people were at the O’s game that night. Our waitress informed us of their nightly specials, which all sounded nice and we eventually settled on the roasted corn and crab bruschetta. The bruschetta came promptly with four pieces of baguette piled high with roasted corn, tomato, cilantro and a healthy portion of lump crab — very good. For entrees we decided to share the Key West salad and the jerk chicken pasta. The Key West salad was a spring mix of leafy greens with avocado, tomato, and onion in lemon vinaigrette. On top of the salad were skewered grilled shrimp marinated in a cilantro jerk type paste, it’s an understatement to say the shrimp were delicious. My wife and I agree we could have had a platter of just the grilled shrimp as our entrée. The other components of the salad were fine and fresh, but an element of crunch could have elevated the salad as a whole. The jerk pasta was a massive portion of bowtie pasta, jerk chicken, and other aromatics in a spicy(not overly spicy) cream sauce. The pasta was also very tasty and the pieces of cubed pineapple were really a nice touch with the spicy cream sauce. Again, the portion was massive, so we had plenty to take home as well. Furthermore drinks here were also really good, especially the blueberry lemon crush — very fresh tasting and nicely prepared. Service could have been a bit more attentive, but that it just nitpicking. Also parking is easy between street parking and the parking lot literally across the street. Lastly the prices were very good and the overall restaurant feel was great — true Baltimore.

Extremely divey atmosphere and not somewhere I really enjoy hanging out, but the food is excellent. Everything I have tried has been great — the burger, the Hells Kitchen sandwich(huge), the fries, shrimp salad, and crab cakes.

I’ve only had the bloody marys here, but I can tell theyre putting a lot of care into the stuff here. I was spying on the people who were sitting next to us and the food looked portion-happy and scrumptious, but I can’t say for sure. So we stopped in while waiting for the rest of our party for LP Steamers, and we figured this kitchy little restaurant bar would be the place to do it. The atmosphere is really happy and comfortable, if this was closer to where I live and usually hang out, I’d definitely stop by a lot more. On to the bloody marys. They house infuse their vodka! I have a picture up of it, but it’s pretty awesome that they do that and it makes for an absolutely delicious flavourful bloody mary. I sucked mine down in zero point nothing flat. Spicy salty and with a nice pickle and olive in the garnish. Not the best garnish or bloody mary I’ve ever had, but by far not the worst and better than mediocre. If only it wasnt out in the middle of nowhere and I’d be back.

Dinner with coworkers brought me to this neighborhood spot. The menu has a nice variety of salads, sandwiches, and pizza. The table shared guac and chips. The guac, which is made to order was so full of flavor. I decided on the shrimp salad. The shrimp were a nice size and not overly dressed in mayo. Very tasty. Our server was friendly and the prices are reasonable. Location is great. I’ll certainly check out again.

This review is easy for me. The food is very good. Everything I’ve had here has been great, and I’ve probably been here about 6 times and gotten something different each time. It’s a great menu too, anyone should be able to find something that they’ll enjoy. But essentially every time I’ve been here the service has been an issue. An inattentive waitress here, a new waitress who keeps making mistakes there, sometimes it’s a bartender who is busy having conversations with one or two people despite a full bar and people standing behind trying to get drinks too. If it was once or twice I’d chalk it up to just a bad experience but it definitely seems like a trend at this point. It should be easy to address: it’s not a large place so it should only take a couple good people to turn that around. The bottom line is I’d rather have great food and poor service than crappy food with great service, and the service issue is easier to fix. Because of that, I’m sure I’ll be back.

Another great night out here. Started with the crab dip and it was really good. I like the touch of basil. As my entrée I got one of their specials, the Guinness Mussels, and they were really really good. There wasn’t a strong taste of Guinness so if you don’t like the beer I wouldn’t worry. The amount of mussels I got was generous and the taste was nice and spicy. I almost wish they would serve these all the time or more frequently because they were that good.(Please barracudas?!) My boyfriend got the Hells Kitchen sandwich and it was huge and delicious. Everything a sandwich with corned beef, fries, cole slaw and Dijon would be. Yes, fries come on the sandwich. Overall, I haven’t been disappointed with this place except for the fried fish tacos but that’s just because I prefer grilled fish tacos. Not their fault.

I found Barracudas a bit… blah…on all ends. The menu seems vast but there are very few things I actually wanted to order. The fish was dry and not amazing in flavor. The severs were not especially friendly, warming, nor helpful. The ambience equally lacked warmth. Overall I unfortunately couldn’t find anything special about barracudas and cannot see myself returning.
