The $ 5 Canvas Pinot Noir, not bad! Used my free check-in appetizer on the scallops and beet salad. You get 3 scallops. One of the 3 was chewy, but otherwise good. My entrée was the Rockfish, quinoa, and spinach dish. Very flavorful, yet healthy. I’d order it again if I ever stay here at the Hyatt in the future. There is a bar menu and a full menu. Service was attentive and she remembered my name the whole time. It was pretty empty on this early Monday evening, so I got great service. This is the best hotel restaurant I’ve been to in the last several years. If you don’t feel like going out, you won’t be disappointed staying in.

Free appetizer with entrée when you check-in on Unilocal.I got the crab cakes appetizer, of course. They were really good – maybe this is just because they were free, but I thought they tasted just as good as Faidley’s. Also got the chicken avocado sandwich, which was only OK. Was staying at the Hyatt Regency while at a conference so it was also convenient with their breakfast buffet.

We were staying at the Hyatt and after a busy day decided to stay close for dinner. We had the shrimp ceviche appetizer and it was delicious. I had the chicken special which was a nice portion of sliced chicken breast, roasted potatoes and broccolini. The meal was also yummy. My son had the roasted chicken which was not really to his liking as it was a very small portion, with skin and the bone. The service was top notch and all in all we really enyoyed ourselves.

First off, this place is expensive, so expect to drop thirty on just crabcakes alone. The total bill for a dinner for 2 costed eighty bucks. that being said this food was amazing and there was enough of it to feed 4 grown men so be prepared to take home leftovers. The crap dip appetizer was amazing; there must have been a full stick of butter and a cup of heavy cream coupled with large chunks of crab throughout. My dinner was the crab cake platter which came with 2 crab cakes the size of baseballs that were 95% crab, 5% filling. I had a side of bland mashed potatoes but they were drizzled in a fantastic brown gravy that provided all needed flavor. My lady friend had the Chicken oscar, 3 large chicken breats with about 2 large crabs full of meat all over it. Then they threw in a complementary dessert(cus it was restaurant week and they had extra) that was divine. Some lemon rasberry sorbet shot topped with a cream served next to a plate full of berries and whipped cream. We ate at 9pm at night and werent hungry again until 4pm the next day(and Im not a thin guy that skips meals, I eat 3 large round meals a day). We ate here using a restaurant dot com coupon and saved 25 so it helped, but I didnt care about the price since this food was so amazing. Did I mention the über helpful, attentive, and nice service we got? At one point in our meal the chef came out to ask us how we liked our meal, thats when she said she will throw some free desserts in, such a nice lady!

We ate here because it was convenient– we are staying in the hotel for a convention. They are toting a new menu but it is VERY limited. For dinner I had the mushroom ravioli. The taste was good but the pasta was doughy. Breakfast the next day we tried the buffet. BIG disappointment. The waiter mentioned omelets — I thought he meant an omelet station but that was not the case. Usual breakfast buffet, powdered eggs, over crisp bacon, greasy potatos. To add insult to injury the good was cold by the time you got back to the table because of the huge overhead fans circulating. We’ve eaten outside the hotel ever since and have no plans to eat there the rest if the week.

I can only review for breakfast, but I will say that I was pleasantly surprised. Came here on a THursday around 8AM for a client breakfast. Usually I go in expecting a buffet, perhaps a lame continental breakfast and mediocre coffee. I was surprised to have attentive wait staff, many options for both buffet and a la carte and I had my tea pot full always. I had the greek wrap with egg whites and some sort of tzatziki sauce. It was amazing. Comforting, not heavy. Delicious! Great option for breakfast that’s not ordinary, with a nice atmosphere.

probably the best restaurant in Baltimore Inner harbor area, the steak was good, the crab cakes are awesome! Not to mention the great service, we had a very friendly waiter! Wine selection was great! I give this place 10 stars if I could, awesome service, good food, great ambience, i’ll definitely come back when i’m in the area again. P. S. once you check in for the first time they will give you Free Appetizer and its not cheap portions… thank you again Bistro 300 :)

Just like Unilocal says. A-OK. Would I go out of my way to dine at this place? No. But giving any hotel restaurant 3 stars is something that I’d consider an honor(for them at least). I had the crab dip soup thing(forgot the exact name) which was great, although could use a little more crab. What was a bit dissapointing was the chessapeak chicken. I was expecting a grilled or pan-seared chicken breast. What I got was something that looked, tasted, and felt boiled. Yuck. If they cooked the chicken better, I probably would’ve given it one more star. The service was quick at least, and the overall ambiance of the restaurant is nice.

I went here during Baltimore’s Restaurant Week on a nice evening date. I’m not sure why I chose to come to Bistro 300, given that it is secluded on the third floor of the Hyatt, but I do not think I’ll be back. That is not to say that the food was bad. The food was fine. However, I search for the best, not mediocrity. I had several complaints about the meal. First, the«cajun» sauce that was supposed to come atop the salmon was actually just a spicy marinara sauce. It had to be removed to make the fish edible. Second, the menu called for green beans to accompany the salmon. Bistro 300 had, unfortunately, neglected to resupply the pantry, so our waiter substituted asparagus for the green beans. Finally, like the green beans, the salted caramel cake was unavailable, so we were offered cheesecake instead. Never one to turn down cheesecake, I ordered it. As the waiter brought it out, I instantly recognized the Bistro 300 cheesecake to be the very same you can buy at the grocery store in a Sara Lee box. On the positive side, I liked the spicy chicken pasta and the pink panther(aka watermelon mojito). Being seated next to the indoor fountain is tranquil too.

I found out about this place through . I had a $ 15 coupon to use. It’s an awesome little spot on the 3rd floor of the Hyatt Regency that I think is unknown or overlooked by Baltimore city residents. The staff seemed really excited to have new customers so the service was impeccable. They checked on us regularly and our food came quickly and was fresh and tasty! I suggest the calamari as an appetizer and ask for their bread and olive dip.

I ordered the Mediterranean salad for lunch. Open dining area in Hyatt attractive and quiet with some jazz fusion music in the background. The waitress was kind and attentive and I always had a full water glass the basil vinaigrette was incredible.

I love the atmosphere here. Very calming. We came here for lunch during Restaurant Week — I can’t say that I would ever come here otherwise because the food is pretty pricey — but RW was a great deal. The crab cakes were fantastic(and I don’t even like crab), as was the burger. Our desserts were less than awesome, but they were more of a bonus on the meal anyway. Would’ve been upset if we’d actually paid full price for them. The waitstaff was also great, and though there were few other diners, they were friendly. It was really, really hard to find, but I think it was just because the hotel’s lobby was under construction. Overall, I would recommend this for Restaurant Week or if you don’t care about how much you spend!

I was disappointed by the service my friend and I received at this restaurant. It was a Friday night and there was barely anyone in the restaurant which didn’t bother us at all and we assumed as a result the service would be great. Sadly, not the case. The waiter was horrible. First, we had to ask for menus, then we had to ask what the specials were, then when my friend asked if there were any drinks that the bar was especially known for the waiter responded by saying they were all popular! When she ordered a drink and taste it, she asked the waiter a few questions he became irritated and went back to the bar and brought her a new one… He then was about to take the fruits from the first drink with his hands and put them on the new drink! My friend then asked him if she could keep the drink menu so she could look it over and perhaps order a second drink… he told her no! It got really funny after that… shortly thereafter we had a new waiter. The new waiter was friendly and when we asked him what happened to the other waiter, he told us he went home… but he didn’t. He was lurking in the background! In any event, the new waiter was very pleasant and polite. He brought us bread… which of course the other waiter didn’t. Bottom line, the second waiter was more pleasant, explained the menu and brought us drinks without any rudeness all the while the first waiter sat in a chair in the back of the room… needless to say, it was a strange experience. The burger was yum.

To be perfectly honest, I’m usually not overly impressed by hotel dining venues, but Bistro 300 is an exception. I went to lunch here with a colleague and we both enjoyed ourselves. I can’t speak to the dinner service, but as for lunch the menu is not at all extensive, but has enough options as long as you’re interested in an entrée salad or sandwich of some kind. The portion sizes were generous and I enjoyed my crab cake sandwich. The restaurant wasn’t very crowded, but it was the middle of the week and nothing much seemed to be going on in the hotel/area. However, the server was fairly attentive and the atmosphere was nice. Still the food was good, even if it wasn’t especially inventive, and some of the prices are a little steep – most of the salads are almost 20 dollars, for example. Other than that, Bistro 300 is classy but casual enough for a quick lunch and I’d certainly return.

Our server Willie was extremely attentive, the Seabass with wild mushrooms and asparagus were perfectly sautéed leaving the asparagus still brightly colored yet tender with perfectly done mushrooms, bursting with flavor I also highly recommend the Moorenko ice-cream. Tip: there’s an organic kids menu and healthy organic options on the regular menu.
