Well, so far I’ve just tried the quinoa veggie lemongrass burrito; loved it! pretty filling too, though a bit bigger(particularly for a veggie burrito) would make me even happier and more full. It’s great that this healthy, tasty option is available — I’ll be going more often!

I can’t figure out why people are happy to spend 20 – 30 minutes in line for more expensive, nasty Chipotle food when there’s a Freshii just a few blocks down on St. Paul. I stop in weekly for a quick meal, and the service is always quick even when there’s a line. I love the toasted burritos.

I am a regular at Freshii and not ashamed to admit it. There are only so many options in Charles Village that do not leave you feeling slightly unhealthy. I feel like this place is closer than most at making healthy food around here for a college student. I usually get the Spicy Lemongrass Soup with quinoa instead of rice noodles. It’s very good. Also, they have the option of making your wrap or burrito with a large collard green wrap(literally large collard green leaves that wrap your food) — it’s called the«Green Wrap». I usually do that with the Baja burrito and it honestly tastes like a very healthy Chipotle option. In addition, their breakfast pockets are actually amazing. Lastly, I have more than once called in for a pick up order in the mornings and once even before they opened. The staff is super friendly on the phone and in person and my food never takes more than 7 minutes to be ready. oh, and the place is VERY clean. All in all, I gave Freshii four stars because of the staff, the location, and the few solid food combinations they have. But that’s it — just a few. Although they deserve some credit for being of a good message and variety of food… when is too many options too much? The ingredient’s integrity in their salads is not maintained, and that’s why everything tastes the same. There need be less options that are more well planned. Also, some of their ingredients seem like they just came from a can(beets). The potential is there — the menu is not there yet.

Awesome looking place on the inside! However the salads are super expensive. Cool option is that you can order ahead however every time I order ahead when I arrive nothing is actually ready so I end up waiting. So what’s the point of bordering ahead if you still have to wait the same amount of time.

I’ve been to Freshii many times over the years. Last night my husband and I grabbed a quick dinner and were disappointed that both our spicy lemongrass soup and his bowl contained spaghetti noodles, not the previously delicious rice noodles. While the food wasn’t terrible, it was just average and made worse by the switch to plain pasta. My rice bowl was tasty as always, but I was disappointed with the spaghetti noodle soup; yuk.

The food is so good and I like the portions. I come here all the time. My boss used to love this place but since they stop selling the salmon, he doesn’t go there. But the Cobb salad is so good. The portions are much bigger but the salad dressing portions are not big enough. i want to try their froyo but they don’t have the fruit options that I like from other froyo spots.

They have some great healthy food options for meals here, but my favorite item on the menu is their GREEKNON-FATFROZENYOGURT! I just grabbed a cup for dessert, even though I knew my fingers would freeze holding the cup in December weather! This Freshii just made the frozen yogurt self-serve and pay-by-weight, so you can get as little or as much as you want! This is perfect for me, because I always thought the one-size serving they gave was way too large… my tongue would freeze before I could finish half the cup! They also recently added a «New York Cheesecake» flavor(they still have the original«tart» flavor). The cheesecake flavor definitely sits on the sweeter side of frozen yogurts, but if that’s what your craving instead of a tart treat, it will hit the spot!

I tried the veggie burrito without mushrooms. Eh :-(The vinegar was overpowering, and it tasted just wrong. I was digging the concept of Eco friendly food, but the meal was horrible. I got my money back and headed to Chipotle, where I saw the cashier buying food. WTH?!

I was bummed to find such a low rating on here. I’ve only tried the warm rice/noodle dishes, and I agree with other reviewers that there’s more starch than preferred, but those suckers last me for two meals or more(I might add a pile of broccoli here and there when I take it home), they’re made with fresh, whole foods(brown rice, raw scallions, carrot, etc), they’re not excessively seasoned with fast food’s usual sugar-salt quantities, and the flavors are good. That’s another thing — it really is fast as far as whole foods go. So that’s a plus. They also have outlets around for laptops if you plan to stay. I agree that 1) walking in there can be a little confusing at first 2) those pieces of paper you(or they) fill out is not an environmentally friendly aspect of their concept and 3) it probably is overpriced for what you’re actually getting, but that’s most places if you’ve worked in the food industry — when I’m too lazy to cook and want something to my healthy/tasty standards, I’m willing to pay someone to put that stuff together for me. The downtown location is PACKED at lunch hour, so apparently the working man likes it. And I likes it too! P. S. Yes, although the Bliss Bowl is very popular, some people might not care for the goat cheese, avocado, balsamic combo. It is pretty interesting… I liked it, but I’m a fan of odd concoctions.

Gave this place a second and third chance after my original January 20121-star review. They’ve reopened and appear to have cleaned up their act. It’s a chain… so let’s be real when it comes to expectations. There’s not much in the way of consistency. The first time I ordered, the toppings of my salad were grouped separately on different sections of the plate. The second time, there were all just kind of tossed in there. It’s a fast place to get an $ 6 salad. $ 7 if you want protein. $ 8 if you like a salad like I like a salad… double veggies and double protein. The perfect place for someone like me who feels just a tad healthier when they order a salad, but doesn’t want the commitment or price tag of going to the market and buying a ton of veggies to make one or two salads at home. Tip #1: double check the menu board. Sometimes the ingredients in a salad, wrap, etc. may differ form what is listed on the website. I expected the Buffalo Stampede Salad to come with blue cheese. But, at this location, it comes with shredded cheddar and pepper jack. I’m sure there is a disclaimer on the website somewhere that you’d have to have eagle eyes to be able to see. Tip #2: Get your sauce on the side. The first time I ordered this salad, the salad was lightly dressed. The second time, it was swimming in Buffalo sauce. All things considered, the next time I’m feeling the need for a salad in Charles Village, I’d give this place a fourth chance.

It’s 5:00, why am I still tasting that Freshii salad from noon? The order was for a Fiesta salad, not a chicken dredged in garlic powder without a remote hint of cumin thrown into a poorly washed mescalun mix with huge leaves that sometimes had the texture of sandpaper. When one meanders into the nondescript white walled farm to table food nook next to the Royal Farm construction bastardizing the ex Burkes space, you are confronted with confusion. Is’t this place supposed to be riding the«green» train? How many trees were killed making the intimidating stand of mini clip boards with the carbon copy paper and golf pencils for placing your order? People stumble unaided by the stand where they can’t figure out how to place their order. Why the hell are there half pound bags of organic pine nuts on the eye level impulse buy shelf while you wait for your food? Is Freshii suggesting we whip up some organic pesto to disguise the taste of the cruddy salad? The customer line wraps around the Chipolte reminicent production food line because the friendly cashier can’t keep up with the completed food orders piling up next to him. Heaven forfend opening the second cash register with no space in front of it because everyone’s food order is where the second cashier should be standing. Freshii suckii.

I’ve been here twice now and will never go back. The first time I went, I ordered the Wild Pacific Salad, which sounded amazing, but was actually meh. The dressing was watered down and didn’t have that fresh cucumber dill taste. The grilled salmon was OK. But the portions were generous. The second time I went was a huge mistake. I asked how the Bliss Bowl was and was told that it is an extremely popular item that is frequently ordered. From this suggestion I ordered it. The moment I opened the box, the vinegar was over-powering; it actually smelled a bit putrid. The taste was awful. I took one bite and couldn’t eat anymore. I asked if I could exchange the bowl for a different item(of equal value or less) because the suggestion I was given was terrible, but the staff worker(maybe manager?) refused. She didn’t understand why I was asking for something else and even complained that if she gave me a new dish, it would be money coming out of her pocket. I’m not one to usually send food back, but when you’re suggesting a food item and the customer doesn’t like it, shouldn’t the customer’s satisfaction be acknowledged? Something to think about, Freshii.

The staff in particular was very friendly and eager to show us how to fill out the custom menu order. The place is a little on the sterile side but I love the premise of the place – inexpensive, healthy options and green. They even show you how to recycle any remaining packaging. We made a custom wrap and ordered one from the menu(Bankok I think?). Unfortunately the bankok wrap was mostly rice but good nevertheless. Our custom salad wrap was the bomb. I highly recommend making your own creation. It’s a good place to grab a quick bite that’s healthy and earth friendly at the same time.

I had kind of put off coming through this place, considering the mediocrity shown in the other reviews, but decided that I’d give it a chance… and i’m glad I did! I was greeted right away as I came through. It seemed like there was a handful of staff there and they took the time to explain everything. The place seemed clean, well-lit, and definitely enticing for customers. I’m definitely a fan of the concept of fresh, eco-friendly, fast food that is healthy for you. And i’ve got to say that I was a huge fan of the food! The avocado was great, and I added cajun chicken to my dish as well. Also a word of advice for the health-conscious: For dressings, just get EVOO and Balsamic vinegar. It’s great! I did hear some of the other Freshii’s have Quinoa. If they brought that to this Charles Village location, that’d be amazing! I’ll definitely be back.

Okay, so I was lured in by the almost neon, bright green paint job they did on the outside of this place. This was my first time going to a Freshii; it’s the first one to open in Baltimore. In case you weren’t aware, Freshii is an emergent chain that serves eco-conscious fast casual food. It’s very Chipotle-esque in that you get to choose what you want your food served in(wrap/bowl/soup/salad), then you get to build it how you’d like. They provide clipboards and a small IKEA-style golf pencil to check off what you want. They also have a menu of pre-selected combinations, which is what I opted for. I had a Grilled Bangkok Wrap, which was fairly sizeable(about the same size as a Chipotle burrito, longer and less rotund/wide). It was pretty above-average…good, in that safe-fast-food kind of way. The options are pretty limitless so anyone can find something they like here. They did some great things with the space; it’s pretty cavernous really, with bright, freshly painted walls — and, a counter of seating that’s up against the front floor to ceiling window, that gives you a truly fantastic experience people watching on this busy section of St. Paul. Two comments; the space is so sparse that it echoes like mad, which makes other people’s obnoxious whining/crying children that much more unpleasant. Second, the AC wasn’t on yet when I visited, so it was sweltering hot. :(
