Uncle Wiggly’s is a neighborhood establishment. It has a large variety of ice cream flavors from Taharka Bros as well as another national ice cream brand. The store hours are ample to get a sandwich and later get some ice cream. The space is a little tight, but during the warmer months, there is outdoor space to enjoy your food and ice cream. I would definitely recommend Uncle Wiggly’s over other non-local ice cream /yogurt spots, because it is family-owned and supports another local business, Taharka Bros Ice Cream(which is some of the best around, if you haven’t already tried it). I would highly recommend Uncle Wiggly’s for a sandwich for lunch or dinner, and an ice cream for dessert.

Been there twice and can assure you there are many more visits I can see in my future. Very generous portions and good options. The ice cream tastes delicious and the only problem I can think of is the lack of seating to accommodate the large number of people the place attracts.

Appearance. Agree with other comments. Looks like a small local place and clean. Service. Good. Pretty much what you can expect from an ice cream place. I tried 2 samples. Food. The ice cream was delicious. I hope it was homemade. They looked homemade. Price. Affordable. Good stuff. I’d recommend to anyone in the area

I came during lunch time and got the Italian cold cut sandwich with a side fruit. The sandwich was amazing, it tasted so fresh! I got full off one half of a sandwich and saved the other half for later. The fruit was average definitely not fresh fruit. But overall loved the sandwich and will be recommending it. I took off one star because I went during lunch and the sandwich took forever and the cashier was so busy I had to wait like 7 minutes for her to greet me and take my order. So I recommend ordering ahead or coming at a later time. But overall Uncle Wiggly’s is delish!

I really like this little place. Sure, they have some wonderful Ice Cream, etc. I also found out that it’s a great lounch place. Very good sandwiches. Surprisingly good. The staff is very friendly. Not a lot of seating here. Nothing fancy. Just excellent food & ice cream. How can you beat that?

Honestly, everything here is amazing. The sandwiches are a bit pricey, but so delicious. Try the oriole. The ice cream is out of this world. Try the honey graham — simply addicting!

Was expecting fresh ice cream. This is just over priced Turkey Hill. However there was a crowd so somebody is loving it. Also didn’t see any yogurt.

Great ice cream, especially the huge milk shakes. Decent sandwiches but nothing special. Biggest issues is wait time! Sometimes I have ordered and have had to wait 25+ for my food! Also – very big gathering place for families. You are in line and suddenly the mom in front of you now has 10 kids she is ordering for and this takes 20min. Bottom line – come at off times or be prepared to wait.

Sad to say, but this place is going down hill. Freezers are usually broken, but the new owners need to spend the money and put in new freezers or make sure that the existing ones work. You cannot charge a price like this for soupy ice cream. Might be time to get my Taharka somewhere else.

Who sells«warm melting» ice cream? With a bad attitude. This place! They should also send the people who fix the food to training. I can make better sandwiches at home.

Small store but you can tell it’s a neighborhood favorite lots of locals around! I was greeted as soon as I got to the counter by staff! I told him that I was new to the spot. I asked for French vanilla he said they have it but it’s colorful offered me a taste it was good but I didn’t like the rainbow coloring, so he continued to offer me samples of things that I might like for my milkshake! I eventually settled for a coffee chip chocolate and vanilla mixed milkshake made thick! With little chocolate and he did just that! You get a 20 oz cup for around $ 5! With whip cream! It’s really good to me!

Loved the variety of flavors and great customer service. Samples were welcome and after a few I decided on the salty pretzel and pistachio! My boyfriend went with the chocolate fudge brownie and it was delicious as well. The cute patio out front has 5 small tables with seating and the hanging flower baskets add the perfect touch! This will definitely be our go-to for summer(okay, year-round) ice cream cravings!

Great place for a quick lunch for all my children without breaking the bank. We order grilled cheeses with fruit and a Capri sun. All came to $ 14. Feeding 5 kids and they tasted great and the fruit selection was delicious.

This is a local staple in the community that has wonderful customer service and great flavors! Currently«addicted» to Red Devil Cake… passed up on my glass of wine for some ice cream… sad I know. This place is not just an ice cream shop, it’s also a deli! I’ve had their lunchbox special before… my preferred sandwich is the Ravenette. There is nothing about this place that I dislike. It is small, has table and chairs both indoors and outside, which will be nice for a lunch date or afternoon ice cream treat! I even told my mom about this place and can’t wait for her to come visit me so she can get the full Uncle Wiggle experience!

I have always enjoyed Uncle Wiggly’s. The only thing I ever get is their ice cream though. I never get their sandwiches and that’s not because of them. I have never had an interest to get sandwiches at their restaurant but have heard nothing but absolutely amazing reviews. Every time I enter the restaurant I have been greeted politely and served immediately. Their facilities are fantastic. The fountain outside in the summer is very calm and relaxing to sit by while eating ice cream. My partner and I walk our dog from Rodgers Forge just for a relaxing walk to get ice cream. Thank you Uncle Wiggly’s for being a staple of the Rodgers Forge community.

Came in for ice cream and no complaints at all. They have a decent selection(and serve sandwiches which I wasn’t expecting). Fast services, low prices, good ice cream.

Sometimes I wonder if there’s a thing called«too much ice cream» then I slap myself awake because… um, no there isn’t. Forget Baskin Robbin’s man, this place is ridiculous. Not just flavors, but INTERESTING flavors and lots of them. At least 40, as well as sandwiches and snacks too. I had an ice cream sandwich, my husband got a milkshake(that he’d been craving since Burger Brothers was out of chocolate). My ice cream was an espresso/choco with bits of brownie and cookie in it. Delightful. I’m not out that way often, but it would be my go to ice cream spot if I were nearby. The walls are covered with pictures of people either in the shop or with the store’s trademark sticker from around the globe. Pretty interesting. The staff was really friendly and patient while I paced back and forth and up and down trying to figure out what in the heck I wanted. The freezers look to be on their last legs, I wager this place has been around for quite a while. They HAD to be from the 70’s! Otherwise, please check this place out the next time you’re around.

Uncle Wiggly’s is a small shop with two locations in Baltimore. This York Road location is just an Olympic javelin throw from the Towson University/St. Joseph Hospital traffic hubbub. If you’re coming from Govans you might just miss it, if you’re coming from Towson, you’re sure to miss it. Just look for the intersection of York Rd & Regester and be prepared to make the left(Govans) or right(Towson). What prompted my trip to this small business a year ago was my search for some Taharka Brothers Ice Cream. Taharka Brothers is a locally owned ice cream business that originated from the Sylvan Beach Foundation(which has done great community service for disadvantaged youths of the Baltimore community over the years). What makes this type of ice cream stand out from your plain old Edy’s or Baskin Robbins are the extraordinary tastes and flavors! My list of tasty mentions include the Salty Caramel, Honey Graham, and Guinness(yes it tastes like the beer) just to name a few. Uncle Wiggly’s is small on the inside and on a busy day you may find yourself feeling a bit claustrophobic. They have several tables inside to sit down with but I doubt you’d want to eat there unless you enjoy hind parts in your face while you dine. There is an outside seating section if you don’t mind the various bugs flying around trying to get sample of your food, or your skin. The staff there is usually young in age but very well-mannered and pleasant, which is great considering there’s so much middle and high school traffic in and out of the shop. As one of the few vendors here that supply a nice variety of Taharka Bros flavors(along with Edy’s), what also makes this place great is that they boast great hot and cold sandwich specials to grab so as to not make you feel shamed that you drove across town on a near winter’s day just for a cup of ice cream(that’s just me? Oh ok). One star off because the sandwich combos are slightly pricey, but there’s always coupon deals available through Livingsocial, Groupon or Certifikid giving you a good excuse to venture out with the family(or by yourself to buy enough to feed a small family) so keep your eyes peeled for one and jump on the opportunity to go support this business.
