West Shore Park

Was here to check out the Christmas village. It’s a really cute setup, and seems to be a fun place to visit with kids. There is an outdoor area with a few shops and more vendors inside the tent. Pick a ‘warm’ day to see visit the village, if possible, it can get very cold here. The German shop with the Christmas ornaments was my favorite shop but like most of the products sold here, I thought many things were overpriced. A German friend of mine was happy to spend a little more for the ornaments because they are authentic and come all the way from Germany and never go on sale — her words.

I love taking the kids here! After a hot day at the park, nothing is better than cooling off in the sprinklers with the kiddos! There is plenty of tables to put your stuff down, grass to play games, and RITA’S WATER ICE — need I say more? It’s a hop, skip and a jump away from the science center if you are looking to spend the whole day in the harbor area. The Circulator drops you off across the street (purple line) or you can park by Federal Hill…*who just opened their new playground*
There is so much to do in this area and parking usually isn’t an issue! ENJOY!
