The views from this restaurant are stunning and the food was great. The barbecue shrimp kabob was tasty. The rockfish had a distinct taste which we did not care for, but the halibut was incredible. I would recommend reservations as they get very busy.

The steamer clams weren’t the worst, but not the best either. Nice place I will try again. I however do not want my waiter upstairs again, Mike, he needs to refrain from calling women«young ladies». I am a well respected business woman and was dressed as such. Being called a young lady is condescending and not flattering, it’s the same a calling a man«young man».

The food is quite tasty. What knocked a star was the very slow and somewhat inattentive service. Food breakdown: –Salmon special with rice, asparagus and salsa cruda: 5⁄5. Perfectly cooked salmon, delicately seasoned. Every bite was great! –fish and chips: 4⁄5. The fish was absolutely delicious. Knocked a star because the fries were thick without having enough texture. If you’re going to make thicker fries I recommend making sure they have a more crunchy exterior. –asparagus salad with smoked salmon: 3⁄5. Dressing wasn’t very good. Wished there’d been more options for dressing. It was a fresh salad though and might be a 5⁄5 to some. The complimentary bread was SO good! It took quite a long time to get our food and our service just wasn’t very attentive. Great location on the water for sunset though!

We came here for dinner at sunset. The view from upstairs was beautiful. You can see a gorgeous lighthouse. It would have been a perfect sunset view if it hadn’t been cloudy! That being said, the dining experience was good as well. I got the Greek scampi and clear my plate! The dinner options come with a bowl of clam chowder or a house salad. I got the clam chowder. It was only okay. The soup kind of tasted like gravy instead of typical chowder. The Greek scampi was good flavor but the dish itself was a little oily. My other complaint is that they ran out of the special, crab linguine, and the dessert!!! No dessert is a sin In my book!

Had dinner upstairs at a lovely table w/great views. They make a decent dirty martini & price was reasonable at $ 9. Sampled the top sirloin with prawn skewers, seafood chowder, Edgewater salad & of course their bread. Seafood chowder had nice bits of tender seafood, however thought the seasoning was a bit off & ‘seasoned’ at the table as best as possible. Love the Edgewater salad, tried both the house made blue cheese & berry dressings & was impressed by both. The blue cheese had a nice tanginess that balanced the flavor & there was a good amount of blue cheese. The berry dressing had full little berries in it that was a nice surprise. The steak was tender, well prepared & of good size & the prawns were pretty good as well. Nice that they added a side of vegetables as well as the traditional potato side to the dish. Bread & butter tasted fresh, was soft & had good flavor. Wanted to try dessert, but they were out of something called the caramel bomme which is what was calling my name. Service was good although slow to the point that some might be pretty frustrated. If you got with the expectation to relax & enjoy a leisurely meal, would definitely recommend!

Our favorite dishes: Crab cakes Shrimp Kbobs Seafood chowder House salad with dressing Sunset pasta Lemon fettuccini We’ve had the same waiter x2 and he’s always so friendly and has a smile. Will continue to come.

We were traveling thru Bandon and found Edgewaters just as they opened for the evening dinner service. We had a guest with us. The Bread was fabulous, the person who photographed it and sneered that it was unsliced missed a treat. The food and service were impeccable. Had the Halibut with Huckleberry coulis and vegetables. The Asparagus was perfectly cooked. The Halibut was moist and not over cooked, just«au point». The small accompaning salad was wonderful with the fresh greens and the huckleberry vinegrette. The view was beautiful, sunny afternoon skies over the water and hills. What a wonderful place to have dinner in May.

This is a reasonably priced place right on the river with a view of the lighthouse. I had the delicious seafood chowder and a basket with fish & chips. The chowder has lots of potatoes in it, but if you like it that way, it’s great! The rockfish was good, the coleslaw freshly made. The cocktail and tartar sauce tasted house made. The service was good & friendly, the ambience was intimate in the small space, but it didn’t feel crowded. Good food, good prices, good service, excellent sunset views. What more could you ask for?

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Edgewaters in Bandon tonight, the view of the Bay is gorgeous and the food was just as spectacular! We had a small wait to be seated, only about 5 minutes and then enjoyed some warm bread and seafood chowder while waiting for our dinner to arrive. The chowder was great and the waitstaff was quick to check on us and refill our water glasses while we waited. My husband got the fried oyster dinner which came with rice and asparagus as the sides while I enjoyed lemon fettuccine with grilled prawns. I was extremely impressed by the food, my fettuccine was so very tasty, it was very creamy and had a lovely light lemon flavor while the prawns were big, juicy and smokey. I would recommend this place to anyone who is in the Bandon area and wants some fantastic seafood

Best clam chowder and homemade ranch dressing I ever had. The steak was juicy and delicious. The rest was good but the prices are a little on spendy side.

This restaurant has a beautiful view and great food. I recommend asking to sit upstairs and if you’re there in time for sunset you’ll have a great view! I have had the steak and it’s prepared well. My husband and I have also tried their seafood specials and they haven’t disappointed. It’s definitely a more pricey meal, great for a special date night or special occasion.

My parents have lived in Bandon for three years and never dined at Edgewaters. We decided to try it last night and now they know what they haven’t been missing. The Edge Burger was not good. The chargrilled ground sirloin steak was too done and too dry. Absolutely zero flavor other than charcoal. Lettuce and tomato with a dab of roasted tomato mayo on the bun didn’t improve the taste, and the onion was missing. The steak fries weren’t cooked long enough and for what little this meal provided, $ 15 was a ripoff. The fish and chips($ 15) are worth trying. The size of the pacific rock fish were bigger than the halibut served at Bandon Fish Market, however, it’s a close race which fish tastes better. The chips though are number one at Bandon Fish Market. Again, steak fries not good. Service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was popular for large groups. We didn’t make reservations but were sat immediately. It’s not a fancy place at all so casual attire is acceptable. If you get a table by the window your view is of the Coquille River and lighthouse. The fish and chips and the service we received helped make this review three stars. Three stars is okay but unfortunately not enough to bring us back.

Not my absolute favorite atmosphere, since they were playing really cheesy, «adult contemporary» music a bit too loudly for my taste; however, the simple garden salad was HUGE and delicious! Great quality greens, and a the price was totally fair at $ 7. We also enjoyed tasty beers with our simple meal, accompanied by complimentary bread and butter.

What an absolute lovely place! From the food to the staff, we were beyond happy! I’m originally from Bandon, Oregon, and it’s hard to find good seafood, let alone great service! This place met, and exceeded our expectations. If you’re ever in, or around, Bandon, Oregon, Edgewaters is the place to go!

Great dinner, super waitstaff! Highly recommended! Mrs. Picky had pleaded with Mr. Picky to try Edgewater’s month after month, so he finally acquiesced after the fiasco with The Table Nazi at Foley’s. We were welcomed and decided to sit upstairs in the warm and tastefully decorated bar which looks over the beautiful lighthouse and bay. Starters were a cup of seafood chowder which was delicious! Mr. Picked requested the Sunset Pasta which suited his tastes for creamy basil and tomato sauce. Mrs. Picky choose the Lemon & Shrimp Fettuccine. Each sharing and enjoying both meals. The atmosphere in the bar which really is a delightful yet quiet extension of the restaurant was perfect. We will be back. (Mrs. Picky’s Martini was classy and tasteful, just like Edgewater’s.)
