My wife and I decided to go in for lunch, we had a buy one get one coupon so it wasn’t a question. I got the meatloaf and she got the chicken pot pie. The meatloaf had okay flavor but it looked like two brown slices of dark bread, texture felt like it had been sitting under a hot lamp for hours, brown gravy was a bit salty also. The chicken pot pie was good, my wife asked the waitress if it was homemade or frozen, she said they made it there, my wife was hoping for a real pot pie but when it came out it was a mini casserole dish with a puff pastry style top and no bottom, just filling, it seems like a small thing but its half assed, you can do better. The puff pastry on the top was very good, the filling seemed to be homemade with fresh veg and real chicken. The dinner rolls were great. Waitress was very impatient at times, we asked for booster seat for our 10 month old, she brought it over and dropped it next to the table sideways and walked away, she only had two other tables at this time, a 4 top that was finishing up and a two top that just sat down when we did. We had a different waitress bring us fresh coffee and another waitress picked up our plates.

Stopped in on a road trip through Maine. I had the turkey dinner. Actual roasted turkey not the slimy quasi lunch meat turkey some places try to pass off as sliced roasted turkey. Great sides and awesome service. Felt like Thanksgiving dinner without the crazy relatives. So good we even stopped at another one of their locations the next morning for breakfast on our way out of town. Breakfast was also good. Nothing particularly spectacular at breakfast… just good, hearty, homecooked meal with great service. Will definitely make a point of returning if I am back in Maine.

Great food, service, atmosphere. The best place we know of for real comfort food. We had breakfast; corned beef hash, blueberry pancakes, grilled biscuit, and more. Everything was excellent. Our server Peter was wonderful, he was right there before we even knew we needed him. The whole place ran like a well oiled machine.

Always a good time when I am here. Rachel was excellent as a waitress and I appreciated her kind and courteous service. The food is just as good as the original truck stop. Highly recommended!

Definitely disappoints. Three requests had the response«sorry — we are out of that.» On a Tuesday? Group of 10 all complained that the breads and rolls were dried out. Would give 1 star if it wasn’t for the dessert. Maybe eat elsewhere and come here for dessert next time.

Found myself in Bangor, ME and I was told that Dysart’s was a place to go if I ever was visiting. Since I was here, I had to make sure I got a lobster roll. It tasted good but it wasn’t anything too special. I think I enjoyed the bread used for the lobster roll than the contents itself. Unfortunately, I was too late and I missed out on the blueberry pie, so I got the next best thing, a blueberry pancake. Maine blueberries taste a lot different than any other blueberry I’ve had, and I mean that in a very good way. The pancakes was pretty filling too. Overall, it is a place worth visiting, but I’d try their other options. The lobster roll just didn’t cut it for me.

Lively night out with the family! Great time, great food, great service! The Irish nachos are worth the trip… especially paired with your favorite chilled«adult» beverage! Just had sandwiches tonight but we are not leaving hungry! Also the girls eyed some pretty good looking desserts for the ride home in the bakery case in the store. We’ll be back soon!

This place never disappoints. Easily the best place around Bangor to grab breakfast or brunch. The parking lot may be full, but there always seems to be an extra table available so that you won’t need to wait. While the place feels recently remodeled, signs of Dysart’s truck stop origins are everywhere — from the 16 wheeler grill décor to the old timey Ski-doos hanging from the ceiling. They even have a bar in the back that looks like a flatbed! On my most recent trip I had the homemade hash(which comes with two eggs and home fries) and subbed in the grilled homemade biscuit for the side of toast. Yum! And the coffee was even good too. Service was attentive and spot on despite how busy they were. If you’re passing through Bangor and looking for a hearty breakfast, look no further than this Maine institution! If you miss breakfast, come in for a slice of pie and a coffee. They’ve got that too…

Dysart’s is a small chain of gas-station-attached restaurants; think of an old-school Denny’s or diner, covering both family travelers(mostly in the restaurant) and a small bar to the side(more for the after-work crew or truckers). The blueberry pie was excellent — a pie made of berries, not blueberry jelly like many diners. The bran muffin was good if a little sweet. They realized they’d run out of grapefruit, so they upgraded us to a fruit plate at no extra charge — a nicer touch than coming back and starting over with the order. Lots of vintage snowmobiles, chainsaws, and other gas-powered stuff to look at while you eat. There’s a few WWII-era items, and lots from the 60s and 70s; expect any 5– or 65-year-old boys to need a few minutes wandering around while waiting for your food. Service was a bit distracted, but friendly; the menu covered a nice range, but was especially heavy on stuffed french toast(including a fluffernutter version with peanut butter and marshmallow crème, which sounds like about three meal’s worth to me).
