I seriously can not get enough of their migas breakfast tacos! They’re so good and so delightfully priced! One thing I’d advise is to not order their tacos for take-out. They’re served open on the plate when you dine in and they don’t put as much migas into the take-out tacos. It’s still amazing and so, so good but if one holds you over in the restaurant, grab two if you’re ordering in! The staff is super friendly and the restaurant is in an amazing building. Definitely a solid breakfast spot!

We were sent here as a recommendation from someone working at the school district. It was close and conveniently located downtown, thought parking can be sparse, we parked down a ways and walked. No biggie. I had the green chicken enchiladas and my wife had the puffy tacos. We are originally from San Antonio and grew up eating Mexican food and this was on par with the food we’d eaten and the standard fare restaurants in and around SA. The refried beans still had some good chunks of beans so it wasn’t too runny or pasty. My enchiladas same with two flour tortillas which didn’t make sense, but they were good and home made which was nice. The rice had a nice flavor, nothing crazy. My wife liked the puffy tacos and were on par with most good ones in S.A. All in all, good Mexican food for lunch, not a bad price, and I would go back again.

The Wife and I went here back in august of 2013. I remember that she wasn’t feeling the flavor in her tacos. My meal itself wasn’t the greatest but we made it through. It’s not the worst in Bastrop but we’ve not returned if that tells you anything. I also recalled that during our experience there the tortillas weren’t homemade and beans tasted repurposed. I downgraded my review… I know a day late but hey it’s my opinion. I also added two more pics for viewing purposes.

Update from nearly 1 year of eating at Anitas. I grew up on Tex-mex. Cheese enchiladas mostly with red corn tortillas. Enchiladas are not right without onions. the wait staff all know me by name now, but I was very impressed when the second or third time I went in there they knew exactly what i had ordered before. I think they may have added one or two waiters in the year but the regular staff is organized and ready to serve. Breakfast choices: migas with cheese, or their #4 which is essentially migas without the tortilla chips in the egg. Lunch: what ever their special of the day is. My favorite is their beef enchiladas which I think are Friday’s special. If you can find the way to get off of U.S. 71 and come into downtown this is a great place. Note it is only open from 7am to 2pm Monday through Saturday. Not open for dinner.
