Favorite bar ever. Danny and Joe are awesome. The only place I’ll ever order my double shots

Had the red fish, really didn’t taste fresh. Salad was wilted and pineapple from a can. It is a shame as the atmosphere is great, just need fresh ingredients.

I’ve eaten every taco on the menu and can’t find one I don’t like and have multiple favorites. Good prices, good people, good food and all in Bastrop. Highly recommend!

Very fresh flavor! Nice atmosphere and superb house margarita! Megan was fabulous. wonderful suggestions! Just need a good salsa without smoke flavor, Danny, the manager(very pleasant person), seemed sincerely happy to hear my suggestion. I will definitely visit here again, you should too!!!

Margaritas made with fresh ingredients and an inexpensive lunch special make a good afternoon. The décor is nice, the staff is friendly and the food tasted good.

KmSo affordable. Not over the top as I expected being on main street. keep the low prices up. The food presentation and the service was good. My first time. We sat outside as it was a gorgeous day. Patio was clean and really nice. Overall great :)

Food was ok, but just that. Staff was friendly but they never placed our order and had to reorder two additional times. Terribly slow considering we were two of 6 people dining on a Sunday afternoon.

This is my go-to place for great tacos. Salsas are tasty. Tacos are all fantastic. Service is friendly. They recently moved so had some rough days but I think they are back on their game now.

Joe and Danny have been a great addition to Bastrop’s downtown! With the opening of the new building and indoor seating all the time its a win win! We don’t get there as often as we would like but when we do we know it always going to be a great time with wonderful food and drinks! I am so glad to have this place downtown!

Went for lunch with my daughter, we each had the queso and guacamole– good stuff! Then we each ordered 2 tacos each– we would have been fine with one each. The fish taco wasn’t great– but I was super full so it may have been fine. The fried avocado taco was delish! Right up my alley and I love the spice in the salsa. I will totally come back here! I don’t drink anymore cause, let’s just say I drank it all and it was never enough. But I can say– I imagine their drinks are amazing. Anyway– food was good and for Bastrop it was excellent. Will try a couple more times and will make sure to update review as necessary. I hope it wasn’t a fluke. Oh! Waiter was very sweet guy. Excellent service!

Passing through town and stopped here. Amazing brunch and great customer service. Has a great atmosphere and kind of a Austin vibe. The jalapeño hibiscus is a great drink! Will be back next time we come through town.

Good drinks, bad food. It all started with our stale, cold tortilla chips. I ordered fajitas and they were so overdone that I had a pan of black, charred vegetables that wee completely inedible. When I told the server he said, «let me talk to the manager and get it taken off of your bill,» but when the check arrived, there it was. My wife ordered corn on the cob, which was both overcooked(to the point of being soggy) and cold. So in total, three poor dishes for two people, which is very disappointing. On the plus side, the margaritas wee good.

Good food and margaritas but terrible service and a surly unfriendly hostess. We were a party of five. Not only did it take a long time to get our drinks but the food came out at different times with three people finishing their meals before the other two were served. The last two orders were cold and one of the appetizers came out after the food. Check was also wrong. Avoid until they can get their act together.

I love Viejos and they know it. Carne Asado tacos are my favorite and great beans. I don’t to black beans so it is I guess charro beans. I don’t do fancy drinks so that is not why I come. Great folks too!

Happened upon this place after 9pm on a weeknight recently when I was in need of some food. I had a few coworkers recommend this place to me and so my friend and I stopped in. I ordered the Salsa Trio with Roja, Verde, Fuego. All 3 of these were tasty and I had a difficult time picking a favorite. Another one of the girls at our table ordered the Queso Compuesto. I sampled that and enjoyed that as well. I ordered the La Falda taco as it came highly recommended. It did not disappoint. I was sad that I only ordered one.(That’s what happens when you eat too much chips and salsa.) I didn’t try any of the drinks, but must come back as I hear those are really delicious. I had the opportunity of meeting not only the brothers who own the restaurant, Joe and Danny, but also their mother and father as well. Lovely family. I’m excited for the new location and look forward to coming back.

We visited on a Sunday morning when they were pretty slow so our medium sized party was seated immediately and our drinks came quickly. Unfortunately, that’s all that was quick. They seemed horribly under staffed and our food took a very long time to arrive, considering there was only one other table seated in the restaraunt when we ordered. The drinks were good, though the orange juice was low quality, and their salsa was incredible. The juevos rancheros was delicious but the migas really scrimped on the eggs — it was basically a plate of chips. If I lived in Bastrop, I’d give them a second chance but I won’t be making a trip of it any time soon.

Great little restaurant and I highly recommend the patio. Food presentation was great along with the service and atmosphere. Had the Vegetariano and would gladly order it again and again. They offered unique adult beverages which were great for hanging on the patio. As a further stamp of approval, the Mexicans in my party were convinced the owner/chef must be from Mexico based on the menu selection and food preparation.

Wife and I absolutely love this place. Feels like a little street Café in Playa del Carmen, Mexico from twenty years ago. Easily my favorite restaurant here in Bastrop. We’ve tried most of the items on the menu at this point and I would gladly order any one of them again. Love the super fresh Yucatan style CEVICHE, can’t miss with the QUESOCOMPUESTO(cast iron skillet full of melted cheeses with«mix your own» sides of chorizo, guacamole and chopped jalapeños) or ROTAPESCADO. It’s a beer battered fish taco with that awesome chipolte aioli(mayo) in a little mix of slaw and mango… It’s incredible. I really could just go on and on about everything I’ve tried here. Somewhat small but very well thought out menu where everything is great. Nice selection of quality tequilas and margaritas made with said tequilas. Seriously, I love this place.

My wife and I were passing though Bastrop and read about this place on Unilocal. We had the homemade margaritas and guacamole. They should call it Holy Guacamole! The 3 salsas were also great and service impeccable. Our waitress Elizabeth made us feel at home there. We will be back;)b
