Staff is friendly, food is good, and I firmly believe that if this restaurant just had a more updated interior that it would be a huge hit. It’s more of a place to get in and get out vs a nice dine in. The lamb shank platter gets better everytime though! Juicy and flavorful and soooo fillllling

The restaurant doesn’t look like much, but they make up for it with friendly service. I enjoyed a nice falafel wrap and Lebanese tea. I hadn’t had Lebanese tea before and it was lovely. The falafel was good, not the best I’ve had, but no complaints. I’d recommend this place for grabbing a quick bite.

Great but they charged me extra for one pita bread and then I didn’t have enough hummus to dip it in. Not too sure about this place anymore

Hmm! This is one of those places which is fine if youre really running out of time and want to grab a quick lunch around LSU. It is reasonable since it also has these platters(5.75 $ — gyro snadwich, rice pilaf and a drink) which are decent for a meal(if youre really hungry then you might have to order more). * But by the standards of price is gives good food. The humus is good here. Not liquidified(read — diluted). * The chicken shawarma isn’t all that great(Roman’s is my fav). But it’s not as bad as other places. Reasonable to sum up. * Falafel. That’s nice here. Nicer than other places I have visited. * didn’t like the Persian tea. Nopes. Not for my liking. * Go during lunch and the order doesn’t take much time and that’s the busiest time at this place. Have been here for dinner once too and wasn’t that crowded. * I haven’t had the lamb shank — for the meaters might just try that.(I might next time)!

One off my favorite Greek/Lebanese restaurants in Baton Rouge. The food is always great amd I’ve never had any issue. The staff are friendly and welcoming also. The combos cost anywhere from 8– 11 bucks without a drink. This place is an LSU staple and a must try and repeat. Ive been eating here since I arrived in Baton Rouge in 2007 just to busy stuffing my face to review. Get the Rose Water tea. Its extremely refreshing on these hot Louisiana summer days.

Best Greek & Lebanese food in Baton Rouge. Great customer service and great prices. The place is small but you can get great deals on awesome food. Love their gyro plate.

I had higher expectations of this place. The menu has nothing special. The food is not handmade, it is shipped from California on frozen boxes. The price is ok. The portions are medium to large, specially the gyro with fries. Is good for fast, cheap on the go food

Delicious food, great prices, family owned and the service reflects that. Highly recommended for anyone who loves Greek food or is interested in trying some! I always get the vegetarian platter and the quality is consistently A+. I never get tired of this place. Great spot for a quick lunch with a coworker or friend, not really a date spot as the inside could use a little work. Very casual.

My favorite Greek and Lebanese restaurant in BR! By far the BESTHUMMUS and BAKLAVA in town! Been eating there for years and it is one of my favorite places to go to in Baton Rouge for Greek and Lebanese. Their portions are great! You can get a meal deal for only 5.75 which is a gyro, salad or hummus/pita, and a drink! I get the gyro with hummus. The Lamb shank is popular but you have to go on Fridays to get it! If you want to get a taste of everything you can get the combo plate. The staff is nice and always very helpful. THISIS A MUSTGOTOPLACE!!!

Not sure why people complain about things like the plasticware here… This is a great, fast, friendly option in Baton Rouge. I work downtown and live near north gates of LSU, this is the ultimate lunch stop for me. Friendly, welcoming staff with an awesome gyro sandwich and salad. We enjoy Atcha at least once a week and always have a serving of hummus at the house! Easily one of our favorite quick lunch spots!

My husband and I both work at LSU and frequent Atcha Bakery often. We have never been disappointed in the food. Very good Mediterranean food at great prices. The atmosphere is not that great, hey it was an old Pizza Hut, but the facility is clean. If you are around downtown or LSU you should check it out.

While working near the LSU campus in Baton Rouge I decided to try this place. I ordered a Gyro sandwich and salad. Although the meat was well seasoned it was dry. The salad was pretty good. The service was okay, could have been better.

I love this place. It’s under different ownership than when I was in college but the new staff is so nice and the food is as good as ever. They’ve got the best hummus in town, IMO. No kids menu, but they do have one high chair and it gets noisy enough at lunch that no one bats an eye at my toddler. Bonus: you can’t beat the price! My usual gyro sandwich with hummus is under $ 6, drink included. Tip: get there early to beat the weekday lunch rush. This place is popular with LSU folks and is packed by noon.

This is the best middle eastern food I have had in a while. It’s bargain priced as well! My dining partner and I had 5 appetizers, two entrees and each had a piece of baklava for less that 40 $ including tip. The rice is simple, but cooked with cardamom, saffron and a garlic sauce on top. The kibby was crispy and delicious. The grape leaves were likely my least favorite, but the gyro was fantastic! I hear they have lamb shank on Fridays. I will be there this Friday when the doors open.

One time I had the express pleasure of seeing a low grade sugar daddy date here. The conversation flowed from awkward to silent until the aged romeo finally found a topic of mutual interest… bird hatred. «I know I hate birds, they just live so long» griped the less than attractive gold digger. «I know I fucking hate birds» scoffed the balding Casanova, smiling as his date turned from a $ 10.00 disaster to a 1,000 cent win. They talked about for at least 8 minutes. It’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me in Baton Rouge by a long shot. This place has alright falafel sandwiches. Alright, but not great.

Overall, I was satisfied for what I paid. I got a gyro sandwich with the hummus side. It only cost $ 5.75. I really like how much gyro they packed into their sandwiches. While I was perfectly satisfied with my meal, it was not something I would get unless I wanted to grab on my way somewhere in that part of town. I think one of the ways they manage to keep costs down was that they use paper/plastic dishes and flatware. I liked that the gyro slices were nice and thick. They also had pretty good seasoning. I guess the biggest draw-back was that the food just didn’t seem to be made of the highest quality ingredients. I was also disappointed that the baklava was kind of stale. It tasted ok, but my plastic fork couldn’t cut it very well. As I said already, I will probably be back, but only for a quick lunch on my way elsewhere.

Really great lunch spot. Fast and VERY friendly service. Prices are great too– $ 5 for a healthy, quick and fresh plate. The falafel is a little dry but I’d still order it again. Haven’t tried any of their baked good(baklava and what not) but it looks tasty in the display case. Definitely a place to try for lunch or during game days.

Most authentic Middle Eastern/Greek/Lebanese around. Lamb shank friday is one of my favorite occurances in college. Their combo(chicken shwarma and gyro) isn’t but around 10 or 11 bucks. They recently renovated the inside and have much more room. The place is always packed for lunch. Try the tabouleh and baklava
