OMG We order from here every week and it’s consistently delicious! HUGE portions and cheaper than McDonald’s with mega fast delivery and the food is smoking hot when it arrives for a measly $ 1 delivery charge(of course we tip as well). The roast pork fried rice is fabulous, order it with a little extra roast pork and pay the up charge, it’s amazing and enough for three people easily. The sweet and sour chicken is great and the wings are the best in town. The mei fun is definitely the best and again HUGE portion means you get three meals for the $ 7.75 it costs. This is hands down the best Chinese restaurant in Baton Rouge and maybe in Louisiana.

Give the benefit of doubt and go with 3 stars — I have been wanting to try this place for a while because of the good reviews but have not due to lack of off street parking. This place is next door to little Saigon 2 and o did not want to risk getting towed if I parked in little saigons lot — anyway I did notice and there are 2 – 3 parking spots in the rear of this place so parking should not be an issue. I arrive near 1:00 pm on a Monday and when school is out — I was there for 30 minutes and there were 4 – 5 to go orders and 4 other people ate inside so there were customers, which is good. I ordered the sesame chicken combo which are chicken cubes, fried rice and 2 spring rolls for $ 6.99. It was prepared quickly and was piping hot button overall quality of food left me unimpressed. The menu prices are reasonable so students have an opinion besides fast food. The place looked clean.

The Singapore Mei Fun is what I usually get and once I order it she goes in the back and makes it fresh! They don’t use any canned ingredients! On top of amazing food, all the employees are friendly and everything is priced appropriately.

I always order something under the combo section. Egg rolls, fried rice, and choice of entrée. I think they put crack in it because it tastes so good. The amount of food you get is equivalent to 2 meals. There are times that I would sit at work and a drop of drool would fall on my lap thinking of the general tso’s chicken.

Excellent quality; great vegetarian selection; quick, courteous service. After living in both New Orleans and Baton Rouge, I believe this to be the best Chinese delivery I’ve had since moving to Louisiana. Everything we ordered was delicious. The prices are very reasonable, including the delivery charge, and they were happy to accommodate a special request. I’m happy to have a delicious and affordable meal so conveniently available!

Quality, inexpensive, great-tasting Chinese takeout close to LSU campus. I think this is the best Chinese fast-food I’ve found in Baton Rouge. I understand that the owners used to own the Red Rose which was located further north of campus on Highland. The food there was always great and so is the food here(plus the in-restaurant dining at this new location is very clean). They have a hot buffet of prepared selections if you’re in a hurry. However, I’ve always ordered off the menu and they prepare it fresh and hot in the back(even if they have what I ordered already out on the hot line). The proportions are big as well and I can always make two full meals out of each entrée.

Pretty freakin’ good. I’ll definitely go back and would recommend to anyone. Theres a lot to like about this place but here are a few things really stuck out to me. 1) Food Portions were really big, especially compared to price. I paid 6.50 for a combo meal that not only filled me up for dinner, but lunch the next day. This huge meal was cheaper than the smallest meal at the chinese restaurant next door by at least 3 bucks. 2) The place is family owned. The service is intimate and extremely friendly 3) I walked in and ordered, instead of calling, and they cooked it on the spot. Not only did it taste fresh, but it was made quickly. I only waited for about 5 – 6 minutes. Can’t really beat that. 4) It’s pretty bold, in my opinion, to open a chinese restaurant right next to another popular chinese restaurant. But I understand why they did – their food is simply better than the competition. As a matter of fact, it blows chinese combo king out of the water. I recommend the General Tso’s with fried rice. Amazing.

This place is pretty killer as far as chinese food goes. If you’re a vegetarian you’re pretty much limited to the tofu veggie thing, fried rice, lo mein and spring rolls. Everything they make is on point though. The old lady behind the counter is also super sweet. Beats the shit out of Chinese Combo King a few doors down. This is also one of the better options I’ve located for cheap quick food around LSU that has a decent array of vegetarian options. It’s not fine dining, but then again, it is in Baton Rouge.

I was very excited to get their menu in my mailbox, as the only other Chinese place that delivers is very expensive. Geauld Tiger’s has a pretty decent range of options, all entrees being flexible with your choice of beef, chicken or shrimp as the main ingredient. Strangely devoid of pork, perhaps to ensure ease of ordering/consumption for the local Muslim student community? They have two options for ordering: regular you-order-we-cook takeout, or a premade combo option bar, true to the fast food name. We opted for the 2-item combo: two entrée selections and a side of fried rice, lo mein, or to my PLEASANT surprise, mei fun! I had the pepper shrimp and sesame chicken and lo mein, my friend had the sesame chicken, teriyaki chicken, and fried rice. Portion sizes were MASSIVE, I eat like a linebacker and I’ve got enough for tonight and breakfast left over. The teriyaki was dry, not saucy, but wonderfully crispy and aromatic, kind of like you see duck prepared. The sesame was nothing to write home about, but very satisfying. I adored the shrimp, no fishy taste, good seasoning, and the breading was very crisp and tender without being greasy. Lo mein was DELICIOUS, I’m typically always disappointed by fast-food lo mein but it was both yummy and interesting, with colorful, varied vegetables. The cheese wontons(crab rangoons) were diviiiiiiiiine, I loved the filling, rich and sweet like some kind of freaking french confection or something LAWD. Can’t wait to order delivery of their main menu options! The staff are WONDERFUL, pleasant and enthusiastic and personable. I was very taken with the older woman who runs the counter, she’s so sweet and eager to take care of her guests, she asked my name and gave me a menu and a hug as I left! The restaurant itself is clean and comfy, well-lit and cool, with plenty of seating. They have wifi! New haunt? New haunt. I’m in love!
