This is pretty crappy crap. Very sweet dishes, saturated with oil. It’s higher end mall food court fare, but not much higher end.

LOVE this place! My mom and I discovered it when it first opened up and have been huge fans ever since. Great food. Great service. They are usually pretty quick, too! I love the casual atmosphere with the quality food. By far one of my favorite places to go. My favorite is the sesame chicken!

I thoroughly enjoyed this place. I love noodle dishes so this was right up my alley. Great for the whole family to come and eat. The Thai Dynamite was absolutely amazing. I can’t wait until next time to try another flavor combination. It’s clean and upbeat. Great spot for a business lunch or a casual time out. Located in a quaint shopping area. Lots to see and do.

I love Pei Wei but at this location the staff have absolutely no sense of urgency. It was a busy lunch hour granted but one of the coins was more interested in his phone and showing his phone to the expediter. So went back for a second time hoping it would be better. Again I love Pei Wei but the second visit was worse than the first. The meal was like it was stale. I can’t recommend this place.

I absolutely can’t stand most Asian take out places. I do love PF Changs though. My sister loves her Pei Wei in Dallas, so we had to check this out. Overall, I’ve probably eaten her 10 times since they opened. The food is absolutely superior to the«hot wok» variety take out. It tastes like it was just cooked, has fancy garnishes and vegetables within the dish, offers brown rice or noodles if you prefer it to white rice. They also have a coke freestyle machine, which I’m obsessed with. It’s a little pricey for a fountain drink, but I love that it opens up SOOoooo many low calorie drink options… Diet fruit punch Fanta anyone?! I’ve had one or two experiences that were not as good as normal… Once the chicken was chewy and stringy– almost that«hormone enhanced» type of chicken you get sometimes from fast food or the grocery… But this last go around tonight was good again. The portions are more than enough for me– I usually have some leftover from a small portion. I’ll be back, Pei Wei. Especially on those nights that my husband is just dying to go sit down to eat somewhere, but I don’t feel like getting dressed up and putting on makeup.

We dined here on Saturday night around 8pm. They appeared understaffed so it took a while to order and to get our food. Our group ordered the edamame and crab wontons as appetizers. The edamame arrived toward the end of meal and was pretty soggy. The crab wontons were really tasty but arrived in an excessive pool of sweet and sour sauce. I would NOT recommend the sushi here. We may have had better luck at Trader Joe’s next store. The cold rice and non-uniform pieces lead me to suspect that its pre-made and just taken out of the fridge and cut when ordered. For our other dish, I had requested for our veggies to be wok steamed in our Mongolian steak. Since the sauce was really savory and garlicky, we were able to overlook the cold mushrooms. Even my husband, who can be really critical of Asian food, enjoyed the dish. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their food(sesame chicken with noodles and orange peel chicken). This is decent choice for Asian fast-casual. Since there aren’t many competitors in Baton Rouge, we’re likely to be back in the future. Hopefully the issues were just flukes from then being understaffed. I did appreciate the manager coming to check on us twice after the rush was over. I’ll update this review if our future experience is above average.

*asian accent* Pei Wei… why you so disappointing? :( Coworker wanted to check out this place, so we made the drive across town. They took a modern take in the décor and the menu. The choices were limited, and in my opinion… a bit too pricey for their portions. I order the crab wontons and spicy Pei Wei chicken, with upgrade for noodles. Three words: bland all around. My coworker got the orange chicken, and she was disappointed too. We shared the crab wontons, which was on the savory side with very little cream cheese. The spicy chili sauce they offer was the Thai chili sauce you can buy at the grocery store. Therefore, nothing too special about it. Not worth the $ 18 for lunch.

Where do I begin? The food… As a person who suffers from gluten-ism, I was skeptical of ordering from here. I tried it, and was hooked! I order from here weekly(no exaggeration)! My tummy and I are extremely happy, satisfied, and full. Now the staff… I have NEVER experienced staff such as theirs any where in Baton Rouge. I didn’t even think it was possible for restaurant staff to have such attitude! Wait, don’t take it the wrong way. THEYARETHEBEST! THEYHAVETHEBESTATTITUDES! They’re always friendly even when I screw up my order. They know me by name AND face. They don’t get frazzled during lunch rush. They remain cool and calm even we patrons have the rudest attitudes! I remember the first time I dined in and met Toi. I thought she was the owner or manager. Her smile and warm gestures make me feel that PeiWei truly appreciates me spending my money there!

First of all, on our first ever visit the first employee we see, gets a big Zero stars! She did not greet us, smile, or say zip. Her lips were totally sealed. The food selection was good. Mongolian beef was brought to us lukewarm. The pad Thai was streaming. Food was good and had a mild spice to it. Would come back if employees were more friendly. That is why I gave it a 3 star. Employees make all the meal experience or I would give it a 4 for the warm did but not a 5. First impressions last a life time! But a first or second choice place to eat.

Always a winner for us! We’ve been so many times I have lost count. On occasion, they may get our order slightly wrong but they are quick to fix the situation. Yummy!

I have loved Pei Wei since I lived in Dallas and was so excited to get one in BR, but this location is painfully SLOW. my to-go orders are always 15 minutes late no matter how far in advance I order. Most recently I submitted a to go order online at 6:55 for a 7:50 pick up time. When I arrived at 7:50 and paid, I had to wait around until 8:03 for my food to be ready. I don’t understand what the problem is.

Been here several times, but today was first time back in about six months. This was the worst Pei Wei experience we have had! Three people, simple orders, my son got his fish first after a fifteen minute wait, five minutes later my wife got her dis and almost ten minutes after that I finally got my food. Tables were dirty leaving limited seating areas. The server must have been new as she had no idea what she was doing, I think this is my last time eating here.

Pei Wei is not a fine dine. But it does what it says it is. It gives you a close variety of Chinese food, with interesting options. The pad thai is good so is the Thai Dynamite. You can pep it up and make it more spicy or even fry the noodles instead of steaming it. So basically, interesting, within 10 $ meal. If you buy only a small serving you can have a decent meal within 6 $. Thats good given their quality. I love Pei Wei

Love this place! The menu can be a little confusing but everything is on point. You can tell all the ingredients are fresh and if they screw up your order or take too long, they’ll usually give you a gift card or free soup. Plus they have one of those coke freestyle machines and who doesn’t love that? Get the pei wei spicy on white rice if you know what’s good for you

I’ve been a frequent eater at Pei Wei for the past 10 years. My first experience with Pei Wei was in Dallas, TX and I was hooked. I was super excited when Pei Wei opened in Baton Rouge! The menu is wonderful and has a great range of options and flavors. The service is wonderful and employees are very friendly and efficient. My only complaint is that sometimes I think they are rushed and oftentimes the veggies aren’t cooked all the way through or are in huge chunks. Sometimes when I order the same dish, the variety of vegetables are very different from the time I ordered them before. Also, when I order my food to-go, there is usually barely any sauce included. It’s nothing a good helping of sriracha can’t fix when I get home, though! I’ll definitely be back!

«Asian Diner». I have now eaten here several times, since they opened. It is rather unfortunate that I become more unimpressed each time I visit. During my last visit, I ordered the crunch roll… huge disappointment! Why, you ask? 1: it tasted stale &2: nothing exciting about it! 3: photos & marketing too hyped up. 4: made me sick to my stomach, literally! No need for details, right? Plus, this was a Sunday, which tends to be a pretty busy dining day, especially if it is after church services. They were extremely slow… unprepared. I had to wait 45 minutes for my daughter’s kids plate of beef with noodles! Seriously… it’s just a bowl of meat and noodles, nothing more! The quality of everything we had was disappointing! The 2 items we ordered were probably the 2 easiest things on the menu, but sadly, poor quality. Pei Wei has now turned into something I will only go to, on an emergency meal basis. Get you stuff together. Panda Express has now surpassed you all. I come to the plaza, where this is located quite often because of Trader Joe’s, but I have say, the eating establishments I was ill-impressed by.

First visit here though I’ve been to either side of it on Acadian. I came in on a Friday afternoon around 3& promptly and professionally greeted. Paper menus are readily available to newcomers upon entering and there’s a large digital version, which works better for those of us needing reading glasses. It’s a three-step ordering process: 1) pick your protein(chicken, steak, shrimp or tofu & veggies) you can get that small or original. 2) choose your ingredients(I posted a photo). I got the Thai Dynamite given my relentless fondness for Sriracha chile sauce with brown rice(white is available too). 3) steam it. Spice it. You can get it extra spicy but no need IMO since pepper sauce and soy sauce are offered over by the Coca-Cola Freestyle machines. You can get extra tofu, shrimp, or even substitute noodles, rice or salad for a dollar or two extra. Good service. Not even ten minutes after we ordered, the same gentleman taking our order delivered it piping hot.(Adjust wait times accordingly depending on how busy, natch) I found myself pleased with the flavorful green onions & red pepper complementing my steak & brown rice. Sufficiently spicy for the normal palate but whoever said this reviewer is normal — yes, more spoonfuls of red pepper sauce please! Did I mention Coca-Cola Freestyle? Okay good. Me likey. Oh yes, my inner beer geek would be displeased if I failed to inform of the beer offerings on display: Sapporo Premium, Kirin and two mass-produced American lagers. All in all, a pleasant experience. Came out to under $ 26 for both of us so a good value compared to PF Chang’s. We’ll be back.
