You won’t find a better dive in all of Baton Rouge. Slinky’s is the most low key drinking spot you’ll ever go to. It’s not too busy or loud, and the people there are always interesting. It’s my main spot to watch LSU football games when I’m too inebriated to go into the stadium. You have to go here at least once in your 4 years.

Go here if you’re a smoker or you just really want emphysema. This place is the size of a postage stamp with like 7 cigarettes burning at all times. If you’re down with all that, sit down and order a lunchbox(and whatever else to reach their $ 10 card minimum). The only time I ever want to be at Slinky’s on purpose is after an exam, but who here doesn’t love a little self-loathing after they finish exams?

Best bar and bartenders in Baton Rouge! Check out their beer tasting on the first Tuesday of every month! Marines are welcomed with open arms! Plus, Slinky’s definitely has the hottest owner of a bar that I’ve ever met…

My favorite go-to place in Baton Rouge. It’s always busy after football games, but I prefer to go in on other nights and just enjoy the interesting conversations that always pop up around the bar. Perfect dive atmosphere complete with a leaning pool table, loud-ass jukebox, and old trophies of drunken escapades on the walls. Good selection of bottled beers and spirits at really great prices.

I’ve heard this place is packed after football games, but I have yet to see more than 4 patrons in here whenever I go. That’s fine by me when I’m trying to step away from the loudness of Northgate right next door. Very dark inside! Grungy with scratched up squishy round booths. Stuff hanging all over the ceiling. Visually interesting. I love to look at all that stuff… Past memorabilia, etc.

I love slinkys! hole in the wall and seems to be the go-to place after football games for my group of friends… the mind erasers are serious business. I think last time we went here we did the conga line with MS. BATONROUGE(this was after our photo op)… also my boyfs roomie came home around 5 am with a torn shirt and a shoeless girlfriend… we ended up finding the heels outside of mellow mushroom. go figure.
