Great event, Rebecca! It was awesome seeing some new faces at a Unilocal event and even more awesome to have a chance to chat with them one on one. Props to Bar Louie for their delicious appetizers and for the waitstaff being readily available when we needed to quench our thirst or order food. Additionally, it was great to FINALLY be able to try the $ 5 burger promotion. Even though I tried the Louie Burger with chicken to stay a little bit healthier, I was impressed with the flavor and moistness of the sandwich and was able to enjoy the second half of it the next day. Ready for the next one!

Lots of love for Rebecca for putting this event together! She did an amazing job working with the Bar Louie staff to make this night so much fun. I met so many new and friendly faces from BR. They were quite a happy bunch! Looking forward to seeing them again at the next event. The food and liquor were being consumed quite rapidly by us Unilocalers. We were treated to flatbreads, spinach and artichoke dip, and $ 5 burgers. We had about three servers that did an awesome job keeping pace with our every need. In fact to top the night off the staff brought out two yummy desserts to us… on the house! Tons of laughs were shared at this networking social. We had Joel preaching about all things Unilocal,we had lightweight Sandy starting her night off by drinking a Long Island Iced Tea, and Kari S(aka Karl) was a total hoot. Looking forward to seeing BR Unilocal explode in the near future! With events like this all of BR will be curious what makes Unilocal unique.

My first Unilocal event, and was not sure what I would find there… what kind of people go to these things? Well, I found out I kinda like Unilocalers. The event was easy to find, there was a nice area reserved for us, the wait staff was attentive and Rebecca, our CM was a happy hostess. She had me loading up my purse with swag… just what I need. I did not partake in the apps, but I did enjoy the excellent happy hour specials, I mean you could get all of the martinis for $ 5, with good liquor, not that house mixed kool aid like drink that they pour in a martini glass and pass it for one. These were real martinis for $ 5 even with blue chesse olives. I guess I ate many blue chesse olives… did I mention the blue chesse olives??? The conversations were great. I found some opportunities for work connections, for fun connections and volunteer connections. I am from BR and have a large network of friends from all of my experiences, but I must say it was nice to meet new people in my hometown. I am always meeting people on the road with all of my work travels, but at home I tend to stick with my regulars, and struggle to find enough time for them. But there is always room in life for people new and old, with same and different interests. And I want to embrace that more. So I’m a newbie and yes I spend my fair share of time in the«school of Joel M.» learning the ways of the elites. He was telling me about«chasing badges»… «What’s a badge» I said…(clueless newbie…) And a shout out to elite Kevin P. in town from L.A. …looking forward to your big event ! great job rebecca. you had a smile on your face from beginning to end, I could tell this is truly a job you love, it shows ! Good times coming to Unilocalers in BR. I’m onboard for the ride…

Great vibe, fun conversations, and hopefully some new connections. Being my first NOLA event I was invited by Rebecca W. the CM of Baton Rouge to check out the event that afternoon and was happy to had the time to drop in for an hour and network. A fun mix of people from all over the south, being the only west coaster, I enjoyed hearing what jobs everyone had that connected them to BR in more ways that one. A successful event for me because I was able to meet some people who I can work with in the near future. Wish I could have stayed, I saw some great door prizes and I didn’t even get to enter in the raffle *wink wink* and I came all this way from CA *wink wink* … but seriously a great event, a VIP seated area, well marked for Unilocalers of all levels, name tags pre written and tables with goodies. I can see that many CMs think alike. Hopefully I can catch another CMYE when I come back and I’ll snap some shots of the event to put on the wall :) Again had a blast! Thanks Rebecca W.

Going a 5-er for my first BR Unilocal event with Rebecca W at the helm… honestly was really kinda bummed that the BR Elites didn’t turn out for this event… a damn shame really! Had 1NOLA Elite &1BR Elite even had a City of Angels Elite, Kevin P., and myself, I’m a hybrid Elite(sorta halfway between BR&NOLA) I guess but plenty of new Unilocalers, people trying to understand why Unilocal is so great were there… and I did my part to spread the gospel of Unilocal… hopefully got a few folks fired up… Bar Louie was a great place to hold this gathering, props to Rebecca W, I’m liking the CM potential she’s throwing down… Door prizes for the folks and every one that won was a regular Unilocaler or a Plus 1 which I think is/was excellent… get them Newbs & the Fence Sitters fired up, she’s out and about and in the community putting a face to the BR Unilocal nation, getting the businesses on board… Back to the place it was held… don’t understand the 2.5 it’s carrying we had at least 15 – 30 people there at any given time and 1 waitress, love for Hannah, and she was handling her business with the drinks and the noshes… the spinach artichoke dip and the flatbread was wicked awesome! Jumped on a $ 5 burger deal and baby the burgers were kick ass… stiff drinks what more could a Unilocaler ask for… maybe a little more participation from the BR Elites, that’s what… Steve I. made the trek to represent for the NOLA community so gotta give him a shout out… the folks I met were looking to get into Unilocal and hunting for a reason… This event should be the catalyst! BR Elites Show up, Stand up and be proud of your community and most importantly you’ve got an awesome CM so show Rebecca W some love and make your presence known and felt! Can’t wait for the next event be it a regular Unilocal event or Elite event, I, «Hot Manly Eyes», will be present if at all humanly possible!!!
