Mary Lee DO-Nuts

First off, my family and I got food poisoning from their pigs in blankets. For the donuts, the selection was disappointing to say the least & they were dry, tasteless & gross. The woman at the counter kept trying to make us take the leftovers that no one else wanted & she was really pushy about it. She was sooooo obnoxious & it was extremely annoying to have to keep saying «no I don’t want those kind». Not that she cared what I said, because I found out when I got home that she had put 2 or 3 in the box anyway when I wasn’t looking. Frustrating doesn’t even begin to describe it. We originally went in to try the hot donuts & when we asked her about them, she just laughed uncontrollably… what does that even mean?! This place is disgusting, that was the first and last time we ever went there!!! Im getting nauseous just thinking about this place bc I got so sick.

Mary Lee on Perkins is the donut queen of Baton Rouge. The donuts are so crisp and filling. There is always a fresh hot batch of glazed rolling out. A hot apple fritter is my favorite, just the right amount of cinnamon and sugary glaze yum!
