Representing a bit of the American Wild West. Turkey legs, thunder rail, splash mountain, and more — but better for slightly older kids(or at least taller ones than my toddler). Fast Passes are the best way to get through the more popular rides, and here you’ll find Andy from Toy Story to sign signatures!

Frontierland is a pretty fun section of Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. It’s not my #1 favorite(I think Tomorrowland and Fantasyland are my favorites), but it’s still a fun part of the park to check out. My fiancé and I checked out the following attractions: –Big Thunder Mountain Railroad(make sure to visit this attraction early in the morning or get a fast pass for it to avoid the long lines) –Country Bear Jamboree show(very fun!) –Splash Mountain(one of my favorite rides at Disney — make sure to get a fast pass or go late /early in the day to avoid the long lines) –Tom Sawyer Island(we didn’t check out the island itself, but we did go on the river boat cruise around it, which was a ton of fun, albeit laden with mosquitos!) Frontierland has some pretty amazing attractions and is definitely worth a visit if you’re in Magic Kingdom anyway! And there’s a fun little square area with smaller entertainment stations to check out as well.

Frontierland is the best part of Magic Kingdom in my opinion. It has Splash Mountain and Thunder Mountain… my most favorite rides! They also have a turkey leg stand set up in Frontierland, which I always have to get in Disney park. Just awesome!

I love Frontierland. The only thrill I see here is Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Railroad. Get fast passes for both of the rides. Still a great area. You can see parades come through the area.

Home of the big thunder mountain railroad and splash mountain. Both are great rides but people really seem to congregate here so get there early and get fast passes.

Frontierland holds 2 of the most popular attractions in the Park: Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain. For those, you better get there really early to ride or go straight there when you enter the Park and grab Fast Passes for later in the day. Walking through Frontierland is like taking a step back in time to the old wild west. Splash Mountain — Do it! Do it! Do it! Just Do it! Then go get back in the hellish long line and Do it again! Big Thunder Mountain — I only rated it 3 stars, but it is still a must-do. Even though it’s a kiddie coaster, it’s still really cool because there’s so much to see while riding it. Tom Sawyer Island — Teens and adults may want to skip this. It’s pretty neat to see and explore, but it’s nothing more than just a really awesome play area for kids. So, if you have younger kids, I would definitely try to fit this into the agenda. . Country Bear Jamboree — SKIPIT! Do not pass go, Do not collect $ 200! SKIPIT! Pecos Bill Tall Tail Inn and Café — This is one of my favorite places to grab at bite at The Magic Kingdom. I really enjoy the BBQ sandwich. There’s so much meat on it, you can ask for another bun and make 2 sandwiches and share. Turkey Leg Cart — They’re wonderful. Get one! Frontierland Fries — It is what it is. Expensive fries. www.yelp.com/biz/frontierland-fries-orlando#hrid:AzLjB5pXJP6aQu0q5TJOMA

The big attraction(s) to the corner of the park known as Frontierland are two of three mountains: Big Thunder Mountain Railroad( ) and Splash Mountain( ) Tom Sawyer Island is an interesting attraction and something you can take the kids to do to burn off extra energy. Who would want to burn off extra energy at Disney? I know I don’t need to, but I can imagine a young kid being pumped up on adrenaline and needing somewhere to run around. You can find the Turkey Leg Cart along the dock path. I don’t know if it’s the Golden Oak Outpost or Westward Ho! It’s not something I regularly get — heck, I’ve only had it once — but YOLO, right? Like other areas in the park, there are many other ‘activities’ and shopping options along your way. Activities Country Bear Jamboree Frontier Shootin’ Arcade Meet & Greet — Toy Story Friends Meet & Greet — Chip & Dale Shopping Big Al’s Briar Patch Frontier Trading Post Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Café Prairie Outpost & Supply Splashdown Photos

Ah, Frontierland… home of the singing Bears, Splash Mountain, and Thunder Mountain. Another classic from my youth! What’s not to love about this place? I had to see the Bears… and they made me laugh just as hard as when I was a kid… Disney magic at it’s best. Thunder Mountain was not as scary as it was for an 8 yr old many moons ago… much tamer than the modern coaster, but still a classic… as evidenced by the long lines and fast pass. Splash Mountain wasn’t in the cards this trip… had too many valuables that couldn’t get wet. Fun to watch the faces of people on the drop though and the crowds get splashed on the bridge at the bottom. Great people watching spot. One of my favorite sections of the Magic Kingdom.
