IHOP

Good service but horrible food… when expressing this they took off less then $ 3 off our ticket even though over half the meal was returned. Won’t be going back there again!!!

Just left the Baytown IHOP and not happy. We got there at a shift change and it took over 20 minutes to get our food. They held up our order while 8 staff members placed their own orders for food before they left to go home.
Our waiter who was standing at the grill chatting with the others said he didn’t know why the delay. If you are going to lie don’t stand in plain site of your customers table.

I’m going to be real with you guys. I love IHOP. It’s one of my favorite places to go for breakfast food, and I LOVE breakfast food. So much so that a few weeks ago I called in and ordered the pigs in blankets to go. I had to get to work, but I just had to have those pancakes and sausage, you know?
They told me they’d be ready in 15 minutes. I got there 20 minutes later, and they were not ready. I had to wait another 15 minutes for my pigs in blankets. This took place around 2 PM. It was not busy at all. I would have walked out (I had to get to work after all), but they had made me pay for my meal when I got there.
I was almost late to work because of this. For a few buttermilk pancakes and a couple of sausage links. Ridiculous.
Earlier this week, my mother brought me to IHOP because she was given a gift card. First of all, they refused to seat us in an open booth because it was dirty, instead of taking the 30 seconds that it takes to wipe it down. We ended up being seated in an uncomfortable half-​booth half-​table. Again, it was around 2 PM. They were only a few other occupied tables in the restaurant.
It took 10 minutes for the waitress to finally greet us and take our drink orders. By that time, we knew what we wanted. I ordered the strawberry banana pancakes and my mother ordered the chicken Florentine crepes. We got our drinks about 5 minutes later.
We sat there for 20 more minutes (my mom is diabetic and she was watching the clock), and nothing. No food, no servers checking on us, nothing. At my mom’s insistence, we got up and walked out.
You know, I get that things happen and food sometimes takes longer than it should. I worked as a waitress for years, up until just under a year ago. I also know what a hassle it can be for servers when customers walk out. This is not something I do very often, and it would not have taken much to prevent us from leaving. If the waitress had come to check up on us, reassure us that the food was on it’s way… ANYTHING… we never would have walked out.
But she didn’t. And it wasn’t because the restaurant was busy. She spent a lot of the time standing in one place and having a conversation with someone in the kitchen area.
The absolute icing on the cake of the situation however is that the hostess on duty very clearly saw my mother and I stand up and walk out… And instead of asking what was wrong or at the very least asking for us to pay for our drinks, she said in a monotone voice «have a nice day».
It’s like nobody at the baytown IHOP wanted to be at work that day.
Well, it’s rubbed off on me because I don’t want to be there either.

During daytime, the service is good. However, after 9pm it goes downhill. Most of the time it’s a hit-​n-​miss deal. The food is ok, when they have it what you want to eat, but the service is lacking. The last time we were there, we had to ask one of the waiters if we were going to get someone to take our order. She replied, «Aweeee, let me see.» REALLY? The worst thing is that the Manager seated us. Did he not assign someone to our table? Poor customer service.

wished this place was bigger & roomy!!! I am
here with my coworkers! I am getting the cinnamon
french toast this morning & it all yummy!!! So yes
I love this location IHOP, so come join me!!!

It’s IHOP… Good Pancakes and combinations. You will definately leave full.
