Maybe our fault for going to a place called SteeleFISH and ordering BBQ and a chicken salad wrap? The BBQ had no BBQ taste. The waffle fries ON the BBQ sandwich sounded good but ended up being slices of warm potato which did nothing for the sandwich. The bread on which the BBQ was served was stale and hard in one corner. My wife had a cup of cream of crab soup which was very good. Actually had a taste of sherry in the soup which seems to be missing from most establishments. The chicken salad wrap had diced piece of chicken in it which had probably been sitting for some time since they were hard. The lettuce in the wrap was wilted. She had two bites and that was all. Maybe it was a bad day for lunch or maybe fish are their specialty. We will not be going back.

Since they added live music for happy hour on Thursday and Friday this is really the place to be. The food and drink specials are the real deal!

Haven’t eaten here since the change from Freddie’s to Steelfish but I’m glad we went. We had a party of 12 and made reservations. This place can get very busy at peak times and parking outside can be an issue but once inside we got some drinks from the bar and were seated after maybe 10 mins. If you went here when it was Freddie’s, nothing has changed inside. We were seated in the tented area to the rear which is heated in colder weather. Drew was our server and was awesome. The beer selection is reasonably good with some eclectic choices for the more adventurous. I had a watermelon dorado IPA which sounds awful but is actually very good. Food was excellent for all 12 of us. I had the country fried steak on a bed of mashed potatoes topped with a fried egg. Amazing. All in all, I think the new owners are on the right track. No complaints. Will definitely return.

Have been for lunch twice, and both times got the tuna wrap, so I can’t speak for a lot of the menu, haha. That being said the tuna wrap is quite delicious. I did try my husband’s Cream of Crab soup and it was quite good. The service was great both times, and the outside seating was nice. Look forward to going back!

All I can say is you got to go to this place. The food was amazing, I mean all of it. We had a party of 18 and I tried many different dishes because we all loved what we ordered. And let me say our waitress was absolutely the best waitress I have ever had. She handled our large party like it was a table for two.

Went here because Red Lobster was too busy. But wow it has not become my #1 favorite restaurant. The Cream of Crab soup is amazing and you HAVE to try the Alaskan Steam Pot. Anyone who comes to visit me I automatically take here and they have all given an amazing review. Keep up the good quality food and I will keep coming!

We were a party of 7 on a Friday night. I had heard the food was good. But the service maybe not so much. We had Zach. Zach was pretty darn good.. The only negative to the evening was they«ran out» of 2 of their crush drink flavors. That was disappointing. But, be that as it may, you can’t beat the original orange crush anyway. My sweetie had a seafood pasta that was in more of a garlic butter sauce as opposed to a creamy sauce. My fish tacos were absolutely wonderful. I’m told the oysters were really good. I’m not a fan. This was my first visit since it changed to Steele Fish. I like what they’ve done to the place. I can’t wait for it to get warmer so I can see the outside seating. They’ve put TVs everywhere, just like a lot of places. But that is okay with me since I’m a sports nut. They expanded the bar seating area with a bunch of round high tops. All in all it was a great Birthday evening. Thanks!

The food was amazing, I loved the cream of crab soup, and our server Shannon was awesome. She was very accommodating which was great, as I had my six month old son, seriously some of the best service I’ve had in a while, she made our experience really stand out

I went here last night for the first time in over a year for a very late dinner. Our server was very friendly and quick with bringing drinks and our food. My table ordered a variety of food. I ordered the steak and cake sandwich, my boyfriend ordered the steak with crab cake, mashed potatoes and asparagus, and we ordered calamari was the appetizer. My steak was cooked medium(would probably order medium rare next time, but it was still great) and the crab cake was perfect! The steak that my boyfriend ordered was also a medium and it tasted pretty good. The calamari that we ordered as an appetizer was amazing! Cooked perfectly. Everyone else seems to enjoy their meals also. Steelefish has a few selections for craft beer which is awesome since I’m not a big fan of the typical«Coors Light, Miller Light, Bud Light» choices. I ordered the infinite by Jailbreak and really liked it. Live music started playing around 9pm, but it was in a separate and closed off room which was nice because it didn’t interfere with dining. Overall, Steelefish is really great. I’ve never had a bad experience at this restaurant and hope to go back again soon.

Eh, nothing special. Parking is tough. We sat at a bar table which was nice. Our waiter didn’t know the menu nor did he know the beers on tap(there aren’t that many but he still didn’t know what they were. Our drinks were left empty quite frequently which is easy money… we were there to drink but he didn’t come to our table very often. Then he’d take our order and then forget it or leave out a drink when he came back. Good was just ok, nothing special

Today for lunch, I took my son to Steelefish Grille to celebrate a milestone of something he’s been working on. Needless to say, he loved it. I believe this is my third or fourth trip to this restaurant, and I’d be remiss to not write something about the great service and great food. Let’s just say, after the meal, my son declared, «We have to return here.» The atmosphere is a perfect balance of classy and comfortable. I don’t know what else I can say about it. The Ulysses pasta is the best. It is quite delicious, not heavy and just full of flavor. I have yet to veer from the entrée. The Maryland Crab soup is just the right spicy. My son had a Sirloin which was cooked perfectly with incredible markings. Yes, it makes a difference when the food looks good. KUDOS to the COOKSTAFF! The Service — if you do go, and I recommend that you do, ask for Shannon. She is good at anticipating needs and reading the guests. She is there most weekends in the evenings. She is prompt, personal and non-intrusive, that is to say, she is perfect at stopping by at appropriate times. Even the other staff that supports the servers are quite happy in helping with what you may need if you ask. If I were ever to have any issue with anything, I am confident they will be there to help me. Now, even the manager, Amy, made a round of the tables. Holding her to conversation was awesome because she was definitely hospitable(as well as Shannon). Go here. They have live music on the weekends too, which is not disappointing. The bar area is great, the dining area is great. The staff that is visible always seem to be doing something. Credit goes out to the staff! Great job! Keep it up!

I was really impressed with Steelefish Grille. Loved the décor, service was great, the food was delicious. By far my favorite items from what we ordered were the Tuna Tataki appetizer, the crab cake, the mahi special and the Cajun Penne, but everything we ordered was really good. I am already planning a return visit, I need some more of that spicy tuna! If you haven’t been to Steelefish yet you owe it to yourself to stop in ASAP.

Ordered the wings on the happy hour menu, 10 pieces for $ 6. Although the price was excellent, the garlic parmesan flavor came out very bland not to mention greasy. The cream of crab was salty and there was very little crab meat. We ordered the Ulysees Seafood pasta that came with a great amount of mussels, crab meat and jumbo shrimp. The pasta was good but nothing to rave about. I can now cross this off my list of restaurants to try but will not be top of mind for my next restaurant trip.

We met some friends(5-top) for dinner here. I made a reservation and we all arrived early. They handed us a pager and said it would be just a few minutes. Forty-five minutes after the reservation –and several queries regarding our table– we were still waiting. We left and went to Liberatores, where we had a pleasant and delicious dinner. Afterward I found out that my friend had run into her neighbor who also made a reservation(and called to confirm it that day!), and they had lost her reservation.

Arrived at Steelefish at 6:30 on a Thursday and were seated right away. We had made a reservation just in case, but it turned out to be completely unnecessary. Our overall experience can be summed up in one simple word: Meh. Our server was attentive and prompt, so I can’t fault them there. The makeover they gave this place was a real step up from the previous tenant. We ordered the crab dip to start and have no complaints about it. It was creamy and seasoned well, covered in cheese and served with slightly toasted bread. A good start to an adequate meal. My husband ordered the wings as his entrée and polished them up. He was not impressed, but had no complaints either. I ordered the lobster mac and cheese. Gotta be honest — not sure what everyone raves about. At first glance, it seems like a great dish with alot of bang for the buck. But when you actually eat it, you realize it’s extremely bland and the lobster is all claw meat which is cheap and tastes as much. So while the portion size and price were appropriate, I won’t be going back for it. We ordered the grilled chicken for the kid, which looked nice but he refused to eat it because it was charred. There’s a fine line between grilled and burnt and this chicken crossed it. We ended up taking the entire chicken piece home to the dogs. They don’t mind burnt food. Overall, a decent meal at a decent price but certainly not something we are going to travel for. Glad for the experience, not in any rush to repeat it.

Two words. Killer food. Excellent dining experience. I had the fried green tomatoes, spring shrimp for apps and the Alaskan pot which is huge so you better be hungry. My daughter had the lobster pot and it was massive too. The food was prepared perfectly and the service is excellent. I’m thinking. Of going back tomorrow to try a couple other menu items before I have the leave town. I was just blown away by the great taste, the size of the portions and reasonable price. If your in the area don’t miss this place. You won’t regret it.

Good place! The food and service was really good. Casual atmosphere. Looking forward to going back to sit on the outdoor patio area during fall and spring! Only downside is that when they got busy later in the dinner hour, it was very loud in the dining area… Nice option in Bel Air with a good variety on their menu.

The wait was long and not worth it. Our waitress was friendly. That was the highlight. All 3 of us were not impressed. To start we had the seafood nachos. Rather lite on the toppings and not very warm. I had the stuffed shrimp. Expecting large butterfly shrimp with a tasty crab stuffing. I got regular sized shrimp with stove top stuffing. The cream sauce was sweet and cold. Not a compliment to the shrimp. The steam pot had a bag full of mushy baby carrots and seasoned with an old bay knock off our some one dropped the salt shaker in the pot. Shrimp and chicken penne’s sauce was flavorless. To end the meal they offer only 3 dessert choices plus ice cream for the kids. Coffee was ok. Neither bold nor weak.
