We had dinner here on a Friday night and it was fabulous: fresh, great presentation, reasonably priced.

This review is strictly for the dine-in portion. A boring menu with food that is definitely not worth the wait. A simple eggs and toast should not take over an hour … So either the wait staff is incapable or the kitchen is extremely slow. Do not wasteyour time at this eatery and instead grab something pre-made to go

Nice staff, but food was only average. I received a hot chai in a normal water glass, the glass was so hot that I could not pick it up after 15 minutes. I finally requested an alternate cup. I order the pasta marinara, it was good, but nothing special.

We love this restaurant for the creative offering & the vegetables in back are outstanding for quality/value. Sure would love it if they could figure out how to not have the place smell like burned bread all the time though – the pizza often comes out too crusty and the place often seems like things are burning. Better exhaust?

Breakfast: No table service. You order at the counter and seat yourself like a coffeehouse. Breakfast is limited to muffins and beverages. I had a nice blueberry Muffin and equally good iced chai. Chases is beautifully decorated in warm woods, exposed brick and hip artwork. See pics. The best is they are Organic and they own their own farm. Worth a stop in Belfast

Vegetarian, yup, and amazing. This place is great, they own their own farm, it doesn’t get any more local than that. Chances are a member of the Chase family is taking your order or searing your or filling your water glass. If you can get there for a Friday night dinner you should make that happen. My wife and I plan our vacations around it. The breakfast is wonderful as well, especially the blueberry pancakes. But the highlight of all is the farm market at the back of the restaurant. I’ve never seen more beautiful produce, I wish I could take it all home. Their baked goods are also spectacular. I could eat their pear/almond muffin everyday and never get sick of it. So if you need meat to call it a meal you’re not going to be happy but if you understand what it takes to highlight vegetables and not overpower them, you’re going to love this place.

We come up to Belfast every summer visiting from VT and are always looking for good bread(unabashed foodie!). Chase’s always runs out of bread early, as a good bakery would, but the service makes the entire experience so much worse. Staff is unhelpful and unapologetic. Nobody asks if they can help you, even though they see you standing right there. Will not speak unless spoken to. After years of being frustrated and unhappy with this place(I never knew of a place to find good bread), I found the Coastal Café and Bakery in Searsport!!! Finally a bakery that has great service AND great bread, pastries, and coffee! Thank God. Now I never have to go to Chase’s again.

Inventively wonderful farm fresh food! Creative combinations of ingredients make for a unique dining experience. The baked goods are terrific, too, and the farmers’ market in back provides an opportunity to take home some of the finest produce. NB — Chase’s is very popular and they turn tables at their own pace. So leave your city angst at home when you’re told there’s a long wait. Converse with your dining companions, peruse the menu, explore the market. But don’t complain in your review that you had to wait. It will be well worth it.

Loved the walnut scone with raspberry filling that I had for breakfast this morning. Can’t wait to go back and try some other things!

Very fresh food. Excellent farm to table place. Probably the best organic restaurant I have been to other than California. Friendly staff, rocking busy kitchen, wonderful high paced energy. The lentil soup… the best I ever had. Nice salads. Will not miss a chance to have a meal there whenever I am back in Belfast, ME.

We were sat at our table and had chosen our breakfast quite quickly, and put our menus at the edge of the table. It took our server 20 minutes to acknowledge us, and 10 more before we could place our order. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time like 15 minutes or so and looked beautiful. I ordered the breakfast burrito. Sadly it mostly tasted like potato and was blan. I would have asked for hot sauce or something to spice it up but we had to take our food to go as by the time the food hit the table it had been almost an hour of waiting for breakfast. Thankfully the host dropped off coffee while we waited.

The freshest best local farm food served up in untypical combinations. Really creative, beautiful food in a wonderful building. Just love the creak of that screen door. And the baked goods are superb, get there early… in the back are pails full of the same produce and herbs and flowers to buy and take home. Every year we come to Camden and we cannot wait to come to Chase’s.

Stopped in Belfast and fell in love with this place! Traveling all the way from Asheville NC, we have a huge appreciation for how they do business. Straight up great ingredients that are cooked and served by people who get it. Thanks for doing what you do… From NC to ME.

Holy crap. What a pleasure of a meal. I live in LA and this spot makes the farm to table restaurants out there look like amateur hour. The Mexican torta sandwich was quite possibly the best sandwich I’ve ever had. It doesn’t matter whether or not you’re a vegetarian. You will be happy with whatever you eat here.

The staff was exceedingly kind and considerate. We have a 13 week old and they put us somewhere warm and were sure to make us feel welcome with a baby. Their bread is tasty and fresh. The espresso was well made. Full and smokey without too much acidity.

Stopped here after reading reviews in Local magazine. Ordered margherita pizza and roasted beet salad as well as chai and ginger beer. Portions were reasonable but not huge and food was good but a bit pricey. Everything local and fresh. Would recommend!

Fantastic! Farm fresh local veggies galore served many tasty ways. My wife and I started off by each having a glass of a very nice vino verde for $ 4(what a steal) but then our paths diverged. She went with the rice and beans. More a deconstructed burrito than anything else. A heaping pile of perfect brown rice surrounded by all of the filings of a burrito sans tortilla, separated to mix and match. Refrained beens picketed veggies, this plate had it all. For my meal I went with the yellow curry. Think Thai rather than Indian. Bok choy, sliced lime, fresh peas and beautifully fried tofu. I lost my head for a moment and forgot that my meal had no pork-fat. You see chase’s is technically a vegetarian restaurant, but the foods so good even a bacon loving carnivore might not notice.

Wow amazing place! I came here for the first time today and was blown away! Incredible vegan meals, an amazing array of breads & cheeses for sale, and a stunning farmer’s market, all in one place! Definitely worth the stop! :)
