In my opinion, the best food you can get for your money in Bellingham. Their burritos are $ 5 and enormous and you can really taste the authentic Mexican rice and beans. I also like how you pay in cash so there are no taxes so you hand them a $ 5 bill and you’re ready to go. I gave them 4 stars because when I’ve been there they seemed annoyed or tired because I couldn’t understand their accents. Amazing food nonetheless, definitely recommended!

This place is delicious. Biggest 5 dollar burrito I have seen in years. Smokey salsa that is to die for. The people are friendly too.

Best burrito in town for the best price. Only thing that sucks is the wait and they’re cash-only. Besides that, I adore this place. I know you can call ahead to order, but I’ve never tried it!

My favorite chicken tacos in Bellingham. The chicken is pull-apart soft and stewed in delicious sauce. No hard chunk chicken here. The veggie tacos contain big avocado chunks and no cheese or sour cream. The verde salsa is fresh and excellent. When you can get huge dinners for 5 a plate, it is hard not to come here multiple times per week. I usually go to the Northwest location but when I have stopped at Samish the food is identical. I tried the tamales once and not impressed, though.

Went to the one on Sammish, I’m not quite sure why everyone is raving about this place being the best place in town. I’ve been to it a couple times but only because it’s close to where I live, and it’s cheap. I ordered the asada burrito, and I have to say, please don’t get this. The portions of the meat, and veggies are just off. You hardly even get enough meat on there, it’s quite ridiculous. The meat just tastes like they got it from Haggen across the road no spices, no flavor whatsoever. The meat chunks are just huge, and chewy. It’s not very pleasant to eat. On top of that, they don’t use refried beans, just whole pinto beans. I can understand some people like it like that but, for me that’s a deal breaker along with the meat. Also, had a try at the tacos, and I would recommend the tacos over the burrito but, it’s still not that great. Tortillas were dry, and just tasted like he took them right out of the bag, and put everything on there. The guy that works there is a real nice guy and all but, I just can’t say I’ll be heading back on the regular. The food is just tastes lazy, and you’d be better off trying to find a different place. Don’t go to Jalapenos though…

Love both locations. The portions are large and the prices are incredible. Never had anything that I didn’t like. I love the salsa verde. The people are friendly. Sometimes it’s beneficial to be able to speak a limited amount Spanish!
