Horrible, rude service, rule against renting to locals basically social apartheid’s.
Yeah so a friend of mine who lives in the county was told he couldn’t rent a room, because he’s a resident of the area. even after offering a deposit the receptionist called the manager who was blunt and curt about how all locals are drug addicts like wtf

super cute. and being a guy thats hard to say. They are re doing the hotel and its really well done.

Motel Hell! We are staying for a week on business. All the dead give aways were there, the copy of your id for the bellingham police department, the obvious meth addicts in the office. They are undergoing a renovation, which consists on some sketchy looking dudes painting the place. It next to the freeway so it’s loud, and the air conditioner needs maintenance because it sounds horrible.
The second night here, as we pulled into the parking lot from working, two guys with will beg for money signs were walking in to get a room. At 12:40 in the morning I got up and checked on the commotion out side my room. More homeless people just hanging out. Next time I come to town, I will not be staying here.
PS. There is hair on the towels.

It was clean and the plumbing mostly works, but there was plenty of noise from the highway and the non-​smoking room smelled like smoke. It also has a large collection of non-​HD TVs dating back to the Clinton administration.

I’m absolutely regretting my decision to pay for a week at this location. However, getting a room for $ 47 a night for booking the entire week seemed like such a good deal when I was sitting in the comfort of another, more upscale hotel.
Unfortunately, this motel is right next to I-​5. While conveniently located for easy access on and off the freeway, the constant traffic noise is deafening and still noticeable even while wearing earplugs. I can also hear the creak of the floor and movement of people in the room upstairs, the loud bathroom fan and flush of the toilet from the room next door, suitcases being rolled down the sidewalk and vehicles thumping over the speed bumps just outside my window.
The furniture is generic, but adequate. My room includes two desks, two chairs, queen bed, nightstand, small refrigerator, microwave, old CRT television, A/​C and heater unit, hangers, stand-​up shower, sink vanity, toilet, towels and soap. I removed the bedspread and pillows right away. They were both too questionable to use. I made a trip to Costco and bought some sheets and pillows so that I could coax myself into the bed, which was actually surprisingly comfortable once I upgraded the bedding.
If you want WiFi, you have to pay extra for it. I brought my own Clear wireless router, but sadly, I only get one to two bars of signal strength. How is this possible since the building and room don’t seem to block out any noise? I would have thought I would have excellent reception.
Since I booked the week, I will only be visited by housekeeping twice during my stay; once to take the trash out, and on another occasion to do a general cleaning. The front desk let me pick the two days housekeeping will visit. Personally, I’m not a big fan of the staff entering my room at anytime, so these few visits during the week were okay with me.
There is a reason the chain chooses a dark, multi-​colored, industrial carpet. Despite its best efforts to camouflage use, there are glaring stains and entrenched dirt. Needless to say, I will be wearing my socks and flip flops the entire time I am here.
After I hopefully survive this week in this hovel of despair, I will move onto greener pastures, i.e. a more upscale place. I’ve even considered camping as a better alternative… at least it’s quiet in nature.

I was trying to book a room in Bellingham with a weeks notice, and didnt realize how high of a demand for rooms there was. Motel 6 was the only budget room available.
I was hoping for the typical Motel 6 experience. You know, the outdated, light on amenities, but cheap and clean experience you can have all across the country? Well this location does not follow suit.
Upon check in, the person working the front desk was plenty nice, but made it clear that the hotel was booked full, so there was no chance in changing my smoking room for a non-​smoker. No big deal, as a non-​smoker, I felt that I would get used to the smell after a short period of time. The residual smoke smell I got used to. What I didn’t get used to was the constant cigarette smoke coming through the bathroom fan any time I turned on the light, or the urine smell coming from the clothes rack/​hangars by the bathroom. Motel 6 is commonly known as a motel chain that allows pets, and it seems that a few have decided to mark that corner of the room as their own.
At first appearance the room seemed clean enough, but when I got into the bathroom, I noticed that there were small bits of dried fluids on the wall by the toilet. I was ready to chalk it up to a small missed speck of vomit or something, until I realized that there were multiple crusty bits, of different color which would indicate multiple uncleaned events. The carpet did appear to have been vacuumed, but the large clumps of black embedded tarry substance were disgusting. Also, between the bed and the nightstand there was about a 3 – 4 inch long crusty thing. I never did figure out what it was, but I wasn’t going to pick it up and find out.
Most likely, I wont have a need to stay at a motel in Bellingham any time soon, but if I do, I will book elsewhere or sleep in my car.

It’s pretty cheap, $ 141 (after taxes) for 2 nights, 2 adults & 1 baby (age 17 & under is free). Sucky thing about it, NO refrigerator to keep my baby’s formula cold when not drinking it. They could AT least have a MINI ones, nothing big & fancy fridges. Easy access to I-​5. IHOP next door is out of business, it’s a Mexican restaurant now. Pool’s open, warm pool. Oh, & WI-​FI is NOT free, they charge when they offer, but I declined it as I use internet off my phone.

Somewhat typical Motel 6. $ 60/​one night for people and a pooch. (My favorite thing about Motel 6 is that they ALL allow pets.) Our room was clean, but had burn marks on the blanket and TV (???). Noise was an issue; it sounded like we were sleeping directly on the side of the highway. The temperature control was a little wacky too; we went to bed cold and then woke up in the middle of the night sweating. It was nice and close to the highway, easy access.

Well, that’s right, it’s a Motel 6. Pretty common to find these all over the US these days, though I still haven’t figured out why… oh, right, because it’s «cheap». I’ve worked in a hotel for a while now, and the Motel 6 would just not cut our standards… not even close, actually. I didn’t expect much, and I got what I expected. The staff was friendly enough I suppose. The room, on the other hand, was kind of gross. The comforter (which, after working in a resort, I know to strip from the bed anyhow) was dirty, had stains of various types on it, and seemed generally unsanitary. And although we booked a non-​smoking room, the area clearly reeked of cigarette smoke. Well, it sufficed as a place to lay my head for the evening. What more can you really ask of budget accommodations? Nothing, that’s what! I would not stay at the Bham Motel 6 ever again. Pretty much a waste of $ 75. Sleeping in the car and using the bushes as a lavatory would have only been slightly less comfortable. Good news though! You get a 10% at the adjacent IHOP! WooHoo! Just don’t…

The Motel 6 in Bellingham is… a normal Motel 6. It’s cheap, it’s clean, it’s reliable (even when you check in at 1am). The way they cut costs is really, really, simple. There is NOTHING in your room! There’s a small tv with cable and 2 bars of soap. That’s it. No shampoo, no «travel guides» no anything. You’re almost surprised to find that the tv remote was actually included in the deal.
That said, yeah, it’s clean and it works.
