Bellingham Lodge

IF YOU HAVE CHILD I WORN YOU THAT THIS ISN’T THE PLACE TO STAY AT.
This is a very ran down dumpy motel. I’d have to say that the room was very disgusting and the floors were very dirty, and walking on the carpet made my socks black in 5 min. The fridge didn’t work properly and smelled after awhile. Key card stopped work after a couple of uses not to mention the hot tub was disgusting. People smoking pot in rooms and in the sauna and smoking in it, I’ve also found nasty socks under the bench in the sauna. The owner has very poor people skills and rude.
I seen lots of rats around the dumpster area, people yelling in the parking lot along with drug deals. Over all the stay was unpleasant and ran piss poorly. I didn’t feel very safe staying their and I was worried about my child catching something from walking on the floor barefooted. The maids we’re giving me towels that still looked dirty and that had been dropped on the ground.

I wasn’t expecting much from here per the pictures online and I had little choice because I was bookings at the last minute during summer in B’ham. I don’t have much nice to say except it was fairly inexpensive and the bathroom had a nice enough shower. And stay away from the hot tub– a gross scummy ring encircled it! I mentioned it to the front desk staff, no idea if they will do something to remedy the situation. If you don’t mind all the aforementioned comments, by all means, stay there! I’ll plan further in advance next time!

I saw some good reviews on-​line, so gave it a shot for a cheap place to stay. It was very affordable, but not worth the savings. The first thing we noticed was a half-​filled hot tub, where the jets were exposed. We mentioned this to the staff, and while friendly, nothing was done about it. The room was what we expected, though the comforter had some sizable holes in it. The mattress was pretty bad. I am a self-​proclaimed bed snob, but this took it to a whole new level of uncomfortable. Friendly staff provided extra blankets and the room heated up quickly with the heater.

I was looking for quick and easy place after landing from a late flight. Close enough tot he airport, friendly staff and the room while antiquated was nice and a great value.

We stayed here on our trip up to BC and id have to say, it was a warm and cozy stay, the staff was very friendly and kind. The continental breakfast is kind of a stale coffee and pasty pastry type deal but it was nice to have hot and fresh waffles made by the staff! This place is in need of a major renovation, the carpets were stained, the shower had a slight angle to the left and had a view of the dumpster. Good place to stay if you are on a budget and are looking for a comfy and cheap bed.

This place is disgusting… brown windows you can’t see through, barf puddles on the carpet with chunks (housekeeping just walked down the hall spraying febreeze on the barf without cleaning it), the carpet felt sweaty/​matted and the pool was gross with algae. While we were there (for less than 2 minutes) I told the kids not to touch anything and not to take their shoes off. I was really worried for our health and this is coming from a person that stayed in $ 5 hotel rooms throughout Central America. This place is just plain scary. I felt like the people in the room before us were making meth since the brown on the windows was so thick you could not see out of the room through the glass. The room was so smelly that every breath was painful. Gross, gross, gross.

Ok… first off this motel name must have changed because it’s not called «Travelodge” — it is called «Bellingham Lodge.» Travelodge must have taken Lauren P’s advice above and took their name off of it.
To say the least, it is filthy and smells of urine and cigarettes. The walls are so thin, I can hear every word from our «neighbors» and that includes across the hall, in their room, with the door shut!
We were fortunate enough to get a non-​smoking room but apparently smoking is permitted in the hallways because the minute we opened our door, I flashed back to a casino in Vegas.
The young girl that was helping us at the front desk when we checked in was great. The problem was checking out: the older woman (with broken English) tried to inform me that Priceline (who I booked my reservation through) only paid them so much for the room and the difference would go on my credit card. What?! I have never heard of this before! We didn’t use anything that would cost us above and beyond the room rate.
Anyway, we loved Bellingham and will be spending a lot of time here as our son will attend WWU in the Fall. We’re looking forward to coming back, only this time, we’ll stay somewhere that is much cleaner and nicer!

Our second hotel, while staying in Bellingham. This place was way better, and exceeded what we expected. Again, checked in after 10pm, and the front desk let us use the Spa/​Sauna for a few minutes later than the hours posted, which was a huge relief after our hiking. Waffles available for breakfast in a «kitchen» setting. Updated rooms.
For sure would stay here again on our next venture through town.

The rooms here are ok. We got the tebby bear room, which was everything covered with the bear mascot, from blankets, lamp shades, curtains, child’s chair, etc. It was a little bit too much. However, the room was decent and comfortable. Staff at the receptionist desk was very warm and friendly. The breakfast was nice and simple as well.

Don’t even think about staying in this place. I would call it a dump, but that would be too nice. This was the most filthy, smelly, disgusting place I have ever walked into. It was absolutely foul.
There was Dog poop in the hallway!!! I have never seen such dirty carpets, both in the hallways and in the room.
I would think that corporate Travelodge would have some kind of standards for motels bearing their name. They should make a trip to this place and close it down!
There are plenty of places to stay in Bellingham, so pick any one of those, just not this one!!!
