Fun place to eat and they have gluten free buns for their massive burgers!

We use to eat here somewhat regularly until we started to notice something«weird» about the meat in the burger. The texture is not right. We don’t go here anymore. Disappointing ~ would be nice to know what the deal is with that because we liked the restaurant.

I haven’t eaten in my car since the early ‘60s and I’m not going to start now. But at Boomers you have both options. Limited seating inside but a yummy hamburger and delicious«real» milkshakes, not liquid chemicals. Fine dining it ain’t, but come on… we all know that fine dining is way overrated and overpriced!

Rip off. Payed 10 dollars for a teriyaki chicken burger and fries. The chicken breast was about 30% the size of the bun. The fries were small and Luke warm. If your going to charge premium prices for fast food, it needs to alot better than this. The flavors were pretty good, but portions where a joke.

Great milkshakes and quick service. The portions are very good size and they always take care of WWU students! I highly recommend the chicken strips and criss cut fries.

Ehrmagerd! This little burger joint is the bees knees! Typical old-school drive-in diner with outstanding burger options, amazingly delicious fries(my wife and I had the sweet potato) and super thick milkshakes! So refreshing to know that these places are still around and lucky enough to have eaten here! Seriously, this place is a diamond in the rough(ie. Bellingham)!

This is a great alternative to fast food burgers and fries, especially since Samish Way also has McDonald’s and Wendy’s as options for a quick bite. Boomers has great burgers and their waffle fries are great. I always get the combo #1 which includes a burger, fries, and a milkshake. What’s also great is that you can dine in or do the drive-in option where you can get served by waitresses to come to your car to serve you. Overall, I choose this as a great alternative to fast food for someone wanting the classic burger and fries for dinner! Keep in mind — boomuary occurs in January and February where usually all burgers are $ 2.99! This is such a great deal!

Tasty burgers, awesome shakes and always busy! Best way to summarize this joint. A good time to visit is definitely in the off hours. The inside has very limited number of seats so if you have a big crew be prepared to wait because they don’t have a hostess.

This type of diner is a dying breed. The 50’s-style drive-in diner is, understandably, not too popular in the PNW(it’s just not as fun to eat in your car when it’s raining, rather than in your top-down convertible in the sun… plus we all eat in our cars so regularly now that the novelty has long worn off). All this in mind, I’m thrilled to know that this little gem still exists in B-ham. And btw, there are several tables for dining inside, too. The circle of seats around the cozy gas fireplace were just what my fam needed on the rainy day we stopped in. Let’s not overlook the menu! Delicious old-school burgers, waffle-fries, milkshakes in close to twenty flavors, and ice cream cones! This place must be hoppin’ in the summertime! Plus who can resist the feel-good sounds of Elvis and other sock-hop music playing inside? I wanted to dance in my seat. I’m not often that far north, but I’d happily revisit this spot.

It’s a good place to go for a basic burger. The milkshake was grainy, the burger was kind of smushed and the fries were cold in the middle the last time we went. If I’m in the Samish area and hungry, I may give them another shot sometime.

Let’s face it, drive in restaurants are fun in the summer time. But it’s worth making the trip in the winter as well. Especially during«Boomuary» when they have all their burgers on sale for the same price. The burgers are pretty good, and reasonably priced. All of the sides I’ve tried have been good, but their waffle fries and milk shakes are the best. They do have an eat in area if you don’t want to eat in your car, but seating is limited. Another option is to phone in your order and pick it up, they’ll bring it right to your car.

Here comes the Boom or the big BOOM, depending on your appetite. A Bellingham staple since forever. Nice to stop in for burger and shake when you’re feeling like a burger and a shake. Nothing overly special to speak of, but always a fun place to eat with a quality old-timey drive-in.

The wait can be long, really long when the anniversary sale is going, but it’s worth it. The burgers are messy and tasty, even the gluten free. The waffle fries and onion rings are both yummy. And the shakes and malts are hard dipped, can’t get better than that. The kids meals come in a cool car with a tootsie pop. They do a great job of «keeping the place up» It’s been around awhile but you can’t really tell.

It’s your usual drive in diner experience, super fun with a car load of friends. the service is a little slow but then again, it was New Year’s Day. Got the chocolate milk shake, which was decent. Would go again if I’m looking for anything diner related late at night.

I feel like I don’t love Boomers as much as most people do but I still think it’s really good! They can get messy and I’m usually a messy eater so maybe that’s why I don’t enjoy it as much haha. Their burgers have their special Boomers sauce in it which has a nice savory taste to it. I usually get the Mushroom Swiss Burger so adding the sauce onto that makes it really tasty! I love their shakes and waffle fries though, I always get the shake in hot fudge. I mostly eat here when they have their Boomuary sale every January-February because all of their burgers are $ 2.99. The restaurant itself is pretty small. I think it’s cute that’s there’s a fireplace in the middle and you can sit around it. Because of the popularity and size of the restaurant, it can be hard to find seating and the line can be really long. Of course since this is a drive-in you can park at the drive in area, order from there and get the food delivered to you, but it can still be a wait especially during the anniversary sale. You can call ahead and order but even the lines can get busy and you still have a wait in line to pay and for your food to cook. Overall a very busy but popular burger joint in Bellingham with lots of choices on their menu. I don’t visit Bellingham as much anymore but I’ll try to come here whenever I can!

Every February, boomers does their $ 2.99 burger deal. And every February, I eat about a hundred burgers. They’re divine. The fish burger is the best(the regular ones are wonderful as well), and the shakes are thick and flavorful. The waffle fries are perfect vehicles of seasoned bliss. The rest of the year… I’d still kill a man for one of their burgers. Boomers forever.

Local tried and true burger stand. We really enjoy the options of call ahead/take out, dine in car, and our choice this visit to sit inside the dining area. Always a fun noisy group dining inside. The server was cheerful and helpful. The brought out food out in less than ten minutes after ordering. Now I’m not sure I’m officially a corn dog expert. I’ve had many in my lifetime and most are ho hum. But here, oh my, they always get it right. A guilty pleasure I’m happy to live with occasionally. We also had the boom burger and yes it was good! Anytime we need an affordable delicious burger(or a corn dog), this is our first choice.

I got the mushroom Swiss burner! It was delicious, one of my favorite burger here. The place is adorable and gives you a small town feel. The service was okay that day. The server just seemed like she wasn’t having a good day. I’ve had better service the other times I’ve been here.

If you ever go to Bellingham(and you should) go here for a Burger. The locals vote it the BESTINTOWN year after year. It’s an iconic old fashioned drive-in joint so stay in your car, they’ll bring you a tray to attach to your window — maybe bump some sock hop jams too so you’re really in the mood. This quote from their website makes me love them even more. «Our goal has always been for our guests to leave a little bit happier than when they arrived. It’s only hamburgers and we are unlikely to change the world. But we hope some of that incremental happiness we try to provide will create a butterfly effect and make the planet a little bit better place to be.» Burgers DO make the world a happier place Boomer’s, and you’re doing your part! Each year they have an Anniversary Sale(Usually in like January or February) where every burger on the menu is only 2.99. These artful creations are well worth their normal ticketed prices so this event is always a total steal and everyone mobs the place.(Other times you can get a burger, waffle fries and a hard ice cream shake for under 8 bucks) On my bucket list of eats everytime I’m in the area. *Indoor seating also available
