I love this place! Perfect for lunch or dinner. Service is always fast even though most of the time they are pretty packed. Despite being called Phở 99, they have a lot of other options for food, too. I usually get phở and also an order of fresh rolls. So good. If you are thirsty, they also have great bubble tea. Really they ought to rename it Phở 100, because I give it 100%.

I don’t really know why this place is so popular other than the location and the punch card. I’m vegan and will only eat the veg phở and veg spring rolls so maybe they just don’t make those the best? Phở isn’t bad but pretty flavorless. Same with the spring rolls. And the peanut sauce seems really watered down. Not the worst dining experience but not the best. I’ll keep coming back but overall it’s so-so.

maybe I’ll change this to a two later, but I ate at phở 99 earlier today so I’m still a little salty I really don’t know why this place is so popular and praised by western students. for starters it is one of the more expensive phở places I’ve been to. the phở itself is hit or miss, I’ve heard some good things, but my girlfriend got two large chunks of cartilage in hers which was a little off putting service is what really motivated me to write this review though. I’m someone who gets kind of annoyed when I’m grocery shopping and the cashier asks if you want to round up for the march of dimes, so when a waiter came over to our table and interrupted to ask us all individually if we wanted to make a donation to a charity it definitely made me not want to come back the one recommendation I have if you are going to eat here is that the coconut water is pretty delicious

Don’t let the outside fool you in terms of being a sketchy restaurant. This is a great place to grab phở with your friends or even by yourself. There are 100 or so options to order from ranging from noodle soups, vermicelli bowls, and of course phở. Make sure to grab a punch card if you plan on coming back and frequenting the place! I really like eating here, the prices are great the service is excellent and I have really enjoyed all the meals I have eaten here. I have tried a number of different phở’s, all good and never disappointing… give the beef stew a try(yes, beef stew) you might have to ask they don’t always have it. Im also a fan of a #63 with a couple of fried eggs on top, they will put fried eggs on most everything(as god intended) The smoothies are great as well… bit on the sweet side for me, but always tasty. The dining room is simple and plain, it’s completely unpretentious and I eat there at least 2 – 3 times a month and will keep going back, give the place a try :)

As always, my fave go to place in Bellingham. Never disappoints. I think phở is the ideal, but no so much the spring rolls.

I think this is the only place to get Phở in Bellingham. Sure, there are other places that claim they serve phở, but don’t believe it! Good food good prices good people! Service can be a bit slow but that’s only because there are many others that recognize the taste of true phở that arrived before me. Phở pretty much heals all that ails you!

This is our go to Phở place in Bellingham. We order the same things every time — large bun bo kho with extra meat and the grilled pork with extra meat. This place is consistently good and the waitstaff is so nice. The place can use some remodeling– but we usually order to go, so it really isn’t an issue.

By far my favorite Phở place in Bellingham. I never stay to eat though, the inside ambiance is not my preferred dining style. The entrance alone makes you wonder if the place is actually open, but the delicious smells wafting from the kitchen keep you walking through the door. This is some of my favorite comfort food. It is consistently delicious. I was only frustrated twice, once when I ordered extra veggies for my soup and it was like defrosted frozen bagged vegetables(nothing special and not worth the extra money). The second thing that bugs me is that they advertise bubble tea but never have any tapioca pearls. I just wish they would take it off the menu and not get my hopes up. Still if you want something to curl up with while binge watching Netflix this is my go to spot.

It is not as good as Bite Teriyaki in Mount Vernon(unlimited limes is my main thing). That said, it is excellent! It’s busy and the people are all friendly. The interior is clean and spacious. I ordered #9 with extra veggies and an eggroll. Will be back:)

I’m not too fond of this place. I went in the evening, it was very busy and there was a pretty long wait. It was not made clean in any way that I needed to write my name on a piece of paper on the other side of the wall, with prolonged my wait. Once we actually got a place to sit, I realized I hate communal seating. Its very loud, a lot of people in a small space. It took at least 15 minutes to actually get our order taken. And another 15 to get our food. That’s 30 minutes after being seated to get our simple bowls of mediocre phở. I don’t think I’ll be back.

No frills and that is exactly what this place does well. Good food at a very reasonable price. Healthy servings of meat in the Phở with lots of veggies, lime and peppers. I usually stick to the Phở but I have had the occasional salad roll which have been nice and the other food looks certainly looks tasty when it goes by! Good for hot days, cold days and any day. Poor days maybe most of all!

I used to work around the corner from this location, and had never had phở before. A coworker introduced me, and a love affair was born. Every time someone in my house gets a cold, I am traveling clear across town to visit Phở 99 to pick up a bowl of the chicken, double noodles with extra veggies. This is the only phở place in town that makes me feel better — and I have tried all of them. I have only tried their phở and their iced coffee, and thinking of both make me homesick when I’m traveling. I am now hungry, and will need to make that pilgrimage this afternoon.

Their phở menu is split up with a separate list for newbies & more experienced palates. As it was our 1st time eating here, we went with the menu for noobs. I ordered a small(#6) and it was twice the size of our bowls at home and s.o. had a size regular(#1) and it was the size of a serving bowl-not that he was complaining. We’d both been feeling under the weather and their broth did a lot to revive us. We like spice so we added some Sriracha and fresh jalapeños that they’d brought out on a little plate with some fresh basil and mung beans. I had a crash course in using chop sticks. No silverware(besides those big spoons for the broth) at the table and I felt too shy to ask. The noodles were scrumptious and well-worth fighting with the chopsticks for. We will back to try their advanced phở!

Hands down the best, most delicious Phở in Bellingham. The owners have been constantly improving the quality of the food and the interior of the restaurant since I started going there. Everything is authentic. Chicken, Steak, or otherwise, they have soups to meet the taste buds of every range of Phở connoisseur. Not feeling like soup? The vermicelli bowls are fantastic as well. They even have a small kids menu. I recommend the iced coffee. They serve it fresh in a drip press, and it comes with sweetened condensed milk. It is fantastic. Go! What are you waiting Phở?

Love Phở 99! They have a great staff, and if you don’t take their advice to go easy on the extra spice and carelessly dowse your dinner in chili oil, they will make fun of you when you start sweating and cry for a glass of milk, a smoothie, more tea. The #63 with two eggs is really great if you’re not in the mood for noodle soup. My favorite is the Phở Tai, Nm, Gau with eye round steak, well-done flank and fatty brisket. When in season, try the avocado smoothie! Enjoy.

This place is legendary to me. I have been a loyal customer for almost a decade and still enjoy coming here. I always get the seafood stuff. The shrimp spring rolls are fresh and tasty. The staff are always there to serve you, especially when this place is crowded.

Phở 99’s broth(Bo or ga) is comparable to humanity landing on the moon for the first time. Some people don’t believe it’s real because it’s too good to be true. Is it. Yes. It is true.

Really delicious phở for a great price. The broth is on point and the noodles are a perfect consistency(not too round or mushy). Taking one star for slow service. I had a sip of the Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk, that’s a must have do all coffee drinkers.

By far one of the better phở/Vietnamese restaurant in Bellingham. It is my «go to» when I’m craving Vietnamese food. Definitely doesn’t compare to what I can get in Seattle or Portland though. Quick and friendly service.
