A few weeks ago I needs a Brat fix! I lived in Germany for 3 years and know a good brat when i taste it and Johnsonville is not in Germany! I got there later in the day and they were out of regular brats as they import almost all there sausages from Germany the nice ladies told me. They were very friendly and had me try the spicy brat. Good choice it was packed with flavor and was nicely spicy. The mustard was great as that is a big part of the meal. I though the bread was the only thing that could use improvement as it was day old. It was still better than most places. I would give them a high rating as the over all experience was great. I can’t wait to go back and have my German fix! PS we need more food trucks in this town. Look at Portland!

I was excited to see Schnitzel Haus truck in the parking lot of Bellingham Public Market one day as I rode my bike through downtown. A little over a week later I tried it for the first time, and I must say I am quite impressed. I had the Schnitzel which was amazingly good. I will definitely get that again. My girlfriend tried the German Burger which was fine, but a little dry. We got the hot potato salad which was also pretty good. Finally, I got the cheese bratwurst which was amazingly good. Most(all?) of the meat is imported from Germany. Only downside to my experience was when I ordered the brat I was asked(by the very nice woman) if I wanted sauerkraut and onions. Of course I did, who doesn’t? Then she added $ 1 on to the price. But it was still only $ 5.50 for a really good brat so it wasn’t such a big deal. I definitely recommend checking this place out. They may have picked a crappy time to get started(as soon it will be raining every day and the only acceptable way to eat the food will be to take it home). The hours are a little unfortunate too since it would be great as a late-night option. Mostly it’s lunch and early dinner, and I don’t believe it’s open Sunday or Monday.
