Do you want food touched by the gods themselves and then served upon your plate? Piccolo’s in Bellmore conveniently located on the South side of Sunrise Highway is your answer. Walk in to a delightfully friendly staff who take pride in knowing their customers(because EVERYONE is a regular, don’t be afraid. you will become one too) and welcoming them in with open arms, like family. The food? Absolutely delicious. Whether you are coming in for a quick take-out order after a long day of work and Karate, or dining in for the ambiance of kings and food suited for royalty you will not be disappointed. At this point I’ve likely tackled every item off the menu and there hasn’t been a bad meal yet, and I really don’t see there ever being one. The sauces are amazing, the breads and crusts crisp and perfect, the chicken cooked to perfection every time. Meatballs? Fuhgeddaboutit!!! When we first started coming to this establishment, I believe it was the 2nd or 3rd time I was there. An elderly woman ordered take-out and I watched as the young girl from behind the counter called her by name and asked her to wait. She dashed to the customers side, held her food, and walked her to her car. To me, that says something about the kind of PEOPLE who make up this eatery, and it’s the kind of people I surround myself with. It’s more than food, it’s family.

Food is always great, good service, and never too long of a wait. I love the free slice of pizza in the bread basket and their bread is always fresh and delicious. I love their pasta dishes, and their giant meatball appetizer is also outstanding. Definitely one of the better Italian places around!

Great family restaurant… The food was good across the board. I was happy with all of our choices. The appetizers were really great, the calamari was very tender and the antipasto was filled with so many great things… The highlight of our experience here was the service. Our servers name was Nikki. A true professional. A joyful sever who was great with our kids…

Visit Date: May 5, 2016 I ducked in here for a slice when I had to stop in this shopping center for oven off on the way home. I’m pregnant right now and never full so pizza seemed like a good idea. I grabbed a Sicilian slice and ran into right aid than ate the slice on the way back to my car which I parked on the other side of the parking lot. The slice was good, very cheesy, less saucy which is good if you’re eating the pizza on the go but more sauce would have been better. The dough was the right amount of crispy without being overcrisp or too doughy. The staff I dealt with was friendly. I would stop here again for more pizza or perhaps a meal.

We have been coming here for years and it is consistently good! My friend and I had dinner last night and my lasagna was delicious and her pasta dish was great too! Service was excellent! The olive oil with spices that they serve with he bread is amazing! The coffee was tasty and I loved our cozy little booth!

I’m happy that I finally got to try Piccolo’s last night with my friend; she’s been talking about it for quite some time now. The food is very good & the bread that they serve is awesome: fresh, hot Italian bread & a piece of Sicilian sliced up in the basket in strips. They serve small antipasto salads with entrees & the vinaigrette dressing they prep on the table prior to the salad arriving is great: zesty & very flavorful. Since we arrived early, it was quiet & the entryway to the kitchen does not have a door, so you watch the staff hanging out in the kitchen drinking sodas & whatnot. It’s a casual place, so it’s not terrible but if there was one thing I could fix, that’s what it would be. Regardless, the food was very good. The star was meat tortellini with more chopped meat mixed throughout the dish in a perfectly light & flavorful pink sauce. I would definitely go just for that dish again. We also ordered the shrimp Parmesan & it was very good but the tomato sauce is not the best I’ve ever had; a little too tangy for my liking. The restaurant is good, the service is very good, I’ll be back.

Food was decent and full plate. Taste was good . We didn’t like bbq chicken pizza. It was nothing like Brooklyn bbq chicken pizza. But rest of the pizzas was good . Chicken shrimp Alfredo sauce dish was outstanding very creamy and tasty. Veal and shrimp parmigiana with spaghetti was ok, I had better ones. I didn’t like eggplant rollatinis, eggplant sucked all the oil. I will defiantly go back.

Not as great as it used to be. .. .. .. .. The entire experience was Fair /Mediocre. I’m sorry, I just can’t give these guys a 3 on this one. Food was good. I like how they give you a little slice of the sicilian pizza when you sit down. I’m not sure else to suggest where you should go. Won’t be coming back, if I can help it.

10⁄10. My family and I have been going to Piccilo for as long as I can remember. Food is consistent and always delicious. The staff is also very pleasant. Only down fall is that it does get very busy. You most likely won’t have a wait at 5:30 but by 7 the line is deep. Wish they had a more diverse dessert menu but everything else is awesome!

I’ve been going to Piccolo for over 25 years. The last couple of years it’s been hit and miss. This past Friday night 12÷18÷15 was a disaster. The calamari was like rubber. I had a party of 7. It took an extremely long time for our food to arrive. When it did 2 people didn’t get there meals. Kitchen lost two of our orders. Their entrees arrived when everyone was finished. An entrée of Shrimp parm was sent back because it tasted terrible. We been here so many times. Tommy what happened to your restaurant? This was terrible experience and a waste of $ 200 plus $$$$. Lucky for us we went to Tony Dinapoli on Saturday night and it was fantastic. Made piccolo look like burger king. Sorry to see this once wonderful restaurant like this. It was one of my children’s favorite.

Who doesn’t like some good Italian food, right? Piccolo is a sure hit with our family in Long Island so it was nice to attend a friend’s baby shower here. There were about 50 or so guests in the back, kind of small, party room. The set up was nice but a little cramped for the guests and servers who were trying to maneuver their way around to get everybody food and drinks. The food was without a doubt 5 stars. When I got there they had garlic knots, bread, and pizza on the table. The pizza was good and I’ve had their garlic knots before too so I know that they’re tasty too even though I didn’t have any this time. Then each person got their caesar salad; nothing to write home about, but good. They served their pasta course family style. Bowtie pasta with marinara and penne alla vodka. The penne was mouth watering. We then had the option of 5 different entrees of which I chose the shrimp franchese. Yummmmm!!! Good choice! And the dessert was superb as well. Cannoli’s and cookies! Servers were busy, busy, busy and on point with their attentiveness.

I stopped in to take home a few slices after the movies in Bellmore. The owner graciously tossed me a couple extra since it was close to closing time. When I got home, I first made a focaccia piece(one of those that he threw in) which was nothing short of yumtastic. So glad because I never would have selected this for myself. The oozing mozzarella from under the cover of marinara topped with Parmesan cheese; what a great taste. And, when I bake them well done the way I like em, wow the crunch of that Sicilian style crust! This place has always been good and I now know they are still top quality. Buon Appetito!

I attended a retirement party at Piccolo’s recently and had a wonderful time. The restaurant has a large space as well as two private rooms; we had one of the private rooms since we were a large group. The food never stopped coming and was delicious. They brought out bread and garlic knots, antipasto which were all great and them we had the choice of an entrée, desert and coffee. I had the chicken scarsala and was so full at this point that I brought it home and had it for lunch the next day at work. The staff was very accommodating and I would recommend and return.

Usually very good. Today’s pizza was overflowing with grease and grated cheese. In a word, it was awful. The car reeked of grated cheese all the way home. In fact, you can still smell it. That does it for me Picollo. How can your pizza differ so much from visit to visit? In any case, this sealed the deal. No more.

We catered my daughter’s birthday from here this past weekend. Setup was a breeze(as I didn’t have to lift a finger) everything was done before I even got to the venue. The gentleman was very accommodating and very detail oriented. The food was fantastic! We ordered the penne a la vodka, eggplant rollatini, & chicken francese. Received compliments on EVERYTHING!(Even days after family was still talking about it) I would absolutely order from them again next time we have a party(and this is coming from a family who typically cooks) From our family to yours, Thank you Piccolo for making our party a success. The chicken parm was great. The pasta too. I went there during the week with co-workers. I gave it 3 stars because the service wasn’t so good. She forgot one of my coworkers orders and she seemed angry-like we were bothering her. I dont understand because they weren’t even that busy. The food was good though and worth a 2nd trip.

Went back a second time to this fine establishment. This time we were lucky enough to get Rocco as our waiter. This guy knows what customer service is all about! The whole time we were there we never had to ask for anything and he anticipated all of our wants and needs. Rocco is such an asset to this restaurant. He is friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable about the entire menu and how all the foods are prepared. I even asked him about some catering and he was able to provide all the answers to what was included and the cost per person. In closing, everything at the restaurant was great, the thing that made it super was Rocco, the next time you go ask for Rocco if you want an amazing dining experience, take it from me, the snooch man.

It’s basically an outdated place. I’m sure at one point it was the place to be but not anymore! The first thing I noticed was that it smelled like swamp ass when you walked in. Very dusty and the bathrooms were very smelly and dirty. The food was typical outdated Italian that you could get almost anywhere. I would have left them alone about all of this but they crossed the line with me regarding my daughter. I took her for a walk around the restaurant that had only 1 table at the time. She’s a baby and cannot stay seated the whole time. She didn’t make a peep she just waived at everyone standing around in the front. My waiter had the audacity to tell me when I got back to the table that I shouldn’t take my daughter around the restaurant again«because the managers don’t want that going on». I was speechless. The place is a glorified pizzeria with 1 table and you say I shouldn’t be walking around with my daughter??? Are you joking me???

Dine or Ditch? Dine(if you’re in the area) Being in my area it’s a great place to stop in and grab a quick slice or even sit for a meal. The food is usually very good. I would recommend Piccolo for lunch and I love their penne ala vodka slices and chicken parm for dinner. When you sit to eat they start you off with bread that is almost impossible to resist. Their dining specials are also usually pretty great, but you cannot substitute anything which makes choosing hard at times. My only bad experience came when ordering a salad. The chicken was not fresh and broke apart like wood. The waitress took the chicken off the check, but still charged me for a full salad when all that was left was basically some lettuce and a couple of tomatoes(the chicken made up the bulk of the salad) which wasn’t an ideal experience. So I won’t be taking my chances on the salad there again. Overall, I have almost all positive experiences there.
