The pink champagne mini cake is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten in my life. Seriously, does not disappoint. The cake is fluffy, light and moist and the frosting is creamy without being heavy. I also got a lemon bar and it’s pretty amazing, too. Four stars because the wait in line is so long.

We just had breakfast here. This place deserves every bit of the 5 stars. It was amazing. I had the stuffed Marion berry french toast and my wife had the chicken and waffles. My daughter’s had a pancake kids breakfast and a waffle kids breakfast. Everything was flawless. My french toast was soooo good. It was extremely sweet but that was to be expected. My wife says the chicken and waffles were delicious. The kids ate everything on their plate as well. They have little kid’s tablets to draw on that my daughters loved. The wait at 10am on a Saturday morning was 10 minutes but we drove by two other restaurants before this one and the wait was double and triple. Our service here was flawless. The waitress was attentive and our waters never went empty. Will definitely be back!

The food was delicious … A little taste of Paris in Bend! But the service left a lot to be desired. The pastries were exquisite!

Excellent patisserie. I had the chicken and waffles, and my wife had the Baja scramble. Shannon, our server, was one of the best servers we have ever had. She was super friendly, very attentive, and was quick to give advice when asked. The coffee was great, and the cakes were amazing.

Just stopped in to pick up some treats and they were amazing! The counter service gal had multiple suggestions of her favorites. Everything I bought was completely great. The chocolate dipped biscotti was not the traditional extremely hard biscuit but a little chewy with an awesome crunch. The turnovers were flaky and filled full with filling. The carrot cupcake was filled with cream cheese frosting! I didn’t get to try the lemon bar but my family said it was amazing and they fought over who was going to get the last bite! The small berry cheese cake was a perfect size for 4 people to have a great end to a meal($ 7.95) There are even gluten free items available for purchase, though they aren’t marked like the flourless chocolate cake! I will be back to try breakfast or lunch soon!

Delightful! Stopped by this place to get brunch while visiting Bend. Super cute. Went with the Cinnamon Babka French Toast and it was fantastic! Good service, and the coffee cups are huge.

Usually a fan of this place. However they do not handle crowds well, and in a place like Bend, OR in the heat of tourism season this skill is essential. Waited 50 minutes for a table and took over an hour to get one meal. Disappointed and won’t be back for a while.

This is an adorable brunch spot for anyone and groups of 6+. I loved my sweet plate, cinnamon French toast and my husband ordered savory, Cali. The savory wasn’t my favorite, but he loved it. The service was good, but seemed a little unorganized at times. I’ll definitely be back the next time we stop in bend! We also got a desert for later, the bakery had so many options to choose from.

This was a really lovely stumble. We were looking for a place in downtown Bend to grab brunch, and there was a slight wait here, but definitely worth it. They got everyone in my group coffee while we waited. Once we were seated they quickly got our order. Five of the six of us got our food at the same time and we had one order that was about 5 mins behind the rest. Our waitress got a delicious raspberry tart for our sixth brunch member to snack on while their food was being cooked. I ordered a chicken bacon burger which was fine, the bun was probably my favorite part and the shoestring fries were heavenly. The staff definitely bumped this review to a solid 5!

On the second to last day of a four day Bend vacation, we stopped into La Magie for a lunch break from our adventures. Simple orders of some pick-us-up coffees, a sandwich, a salad. But this place makes even the simplest things divine. The coffees are served in mugs that can have anything from flowers to geometric shapes to disney princesses as the theme. The salad I got had chicken on it that I could possibly call some of the best chicken I’d ever had, and I don’t usually give chicken that much thought. The staff was so friendly without being overbearing, and the atmosphere was beautiful with little knickknacks your eyes can explore for a whole meal long. We were so happy with La Magie we had to go back the next morning for our last Bend breakfast. This meal was as wonderful as the day before. My granola with fruit and yogurt was perfectly portioned, and everything was fresh. Our waiter was again one of the sweeter human beings I’ll come across in life, and he was sure to keep the coffee mugs hot ‘n full. I will certainly return to La Magie anytime I’m in the area, and encourage others visiting to stop by, even if just to grab one of their beautiful baked goods from the front case.

Great spot for breakfast and pastries. I had the Spanish chorizo omelette. Very substantial omelette with fried potatoes and I also received a complementary pumpkin roll. There is a lot of seating which may be why people complain of the service. I arrived early, so I got a lot of attention. The bakery is very appealing to the eye, so you’ll have plenty of reasons to put away your cell phone and relax!

Although the food is still great I feel like la Magie lost a little bit of quality as far as customer service goes. Not that they were rude or anything, it just felt like the servers weren’t engaging.

Wow. This is my 1st one star review. Waited for 25 minutes staring at an empty table, at which we were eventually sat. Table wasn’t set, no menus, no water. Waited for 45 minutes to get food, they messed up one order. Omelettes are bland. Spoke to owner to bring this to her attention and she didn’t seem to care. She said that they like to space out their seating order. What does that even mean? Best of all, they DOUBLECHARGED us on a cappuccino that we already paid for before getting seated. We looked over the receipt on our walk out and didn’t even bother going back to tell anyone. We really wanted to get a pastry before leaving but didn’t even bother.

The food is probably worth 3 stars but the abysmal service drops it to two. There was a 30+ minute wait to get a table. Which normally wouldn’t bother me… except that I watched while empty tables sat dirty for 5 minutes at a time while no one was being sat. Then, once we finally got to a table, we were within sight of the kitchen window and could watch as food sat at the window, unserved for 5+ minutes at a time. Once we got our food(after watching my SO’s plate sit in the window for 51\2 minutes), the food was… meh. However, I suspect that the bakery part of the restaurant is really good. The bread we got at our table was delicious and the one part of the order that stood out was the housemate English muffin.

I found this location on my last trip to Bend. At that time we had dessert at an outside table. THE most AMAZING lemon bar! A white chocolate marionberry cheesecake. Im not a cheesecake fan and this was out of THISWORLD. In following weeks I heard they have a great breakfast so there we were this morning ready to give it a try. We decided to share the bacon Eggs Benedict and fried chicken and waffle. Around came our coffee and a waitstaff w/a basket of fresh baked goods. I tried the tillamook cheddar croissant and a cranberry biscuit. Oh LORD. The croissant was savory and good. the biscuit was FanTastic. But then… around came our meals. The Bacon ‘Benny’(as they call their Benedict dishes) was very good. The fried chicken and waffle a zero. This dish was memorable in one way and that was to remember never to order it or allow a friend to order it. It appeared as if they split a chicken breast horizontally, pounded it and dredged it plain flour. Dry, tasteless. The waffle– same. Dry and tasteless. I’m not sure how two main things on a dish could be so equally bland. I will post a picture and in that picture you will see the thickest part of the chicken that was served as compared to a butter knife. In the end… baked goods, you probably cant go wrong with a thing in this joint. The Benedict was nice, bright flavor, service excellent. One dish doesnt cause me to bust their chops but I, and my friend, would advise revisiting preparation.

Um, yes! So glad I went on Unilocal to find this place and followed in the recommended foot steps of those who have ordered the Stuffed French Toast before me. I honestly feel that plate will never get beaten. The restaurant is situated right downtown Bend about 1.5 blocks from the Deschutes Public House and in the middle of shopping central. There is seating available both indoors and outside. The only issue I take with this place is the speed of service: if you are in a hurry you might want to reconsider. If it’s brunch time and you are hungry, place your order as soon as you can track your attendant down. The place gets rocking with people. Ready to start the mouth watering? The Texas toast is plated on a bed of maple syrup, and the Mascarpone is a sweet blended, creamy purple color, and the plate is dusted in powdered sugar. Yes, this is certainly on the Adkins diet(or any diet for that matter), it is rich… but dayyyumm is it delicious! My wife had a custom omelette and the portions were excellent, egg was cooked well too. Recommended! Cheers!

The name is a bit deceiving. I initially thought This would be a French café with endless pastries and strong coffee. Turns out it’s an American breakfast bistro. From my single experience it’s just a decent place to have breakfast. Fast, friendly service.

Man, this place is EXCELLENT! Service– great! Food– EXCELLENT! Latte– very good! Desserts– To die for. I had the steak sandwich which is recommended but this place serves up breakfast and lunch all day– I couldn’t decide because there are so many options. I am going to come back again and again! BTW, my wife had the pastrami and a Bloody Mary and she loved both. A girrl was eating the bacon Bennie next to us and I swear I could’ve eaten that as well it looked so good. Seriously, this place is a must!

This place is ADORABLE. The people here are so, so nice and the décor is really quaint. They serve breakfast and lunch all hours that they’re open. They come around with a complimentary bread basket that includes two types of bread and little cranberry scones. They give you some jam and butter. Get the Russian Black bread! It’s great. They sell it but not on the weekends. Chicken Pot Pie = great. Chicken and waffles = good, not great. Bacon Benny = meh. The hollandaise sauce is has lemon in it. It’s interesting but not my jam.
