We try this brunch restaurant on sunday and I was dissapointed about the service. We order 2 mini pancaques for our children and Franch toast and Tuscany Crêpe, 2 large orange juices and milk for our kids. The tab was $ 60.39 When the food came the pancaques were cold and had a funny flavor, all of the servers were busy and no one is there to help you. My kids didn’t wanna eat them. I told the cashier about it and didn’t offer to make them again or getting your money back. She just said«sorry about it» The restroom was not neat either. We’re no comming back here.

I’ve been here twice for brunch, and I’ve left satisfied and happy both times. The first time, I got the Philly crêpe and it was great! I love Philly cheesesteaks and strangely it completely worked inside a crêpe as well. It has the right amount of meat, onions, mushrooms, and peppers, and sooo much cheese. The second time, I got the Capri pasta and it was exactly what I wanted. It’s a pretty simple dish — linguine pasta with marinara sauce and shrimp. I was really craving pasta so it hit the spot! The garlic bread however was extremely garlicky. It had a really strong raw garlic taste, and tasted okay with the pasta but was way too overpowering on its own. I only took a star off because they raised prices. I know other brunch places have similar prices, but one of the reasons I liked Crepevine so much the first time was that it was pretty reasonably priced for the quality. Expect to throw down ~$ 13 – 17 per person!

The food at this location in Berkeley’s so-called Gourmet Ghetto is quite yummy, and inexpensive too. But due to the lousy service, I wouldn’t send my worst enemy to eat here!

Tonight(a Saturday) I placed a pickup order from this Crepevine location over the phone. We’d chosen Crepevine in part because very few restaurants closer to us were open, and this location’s website said it was open until 11PM on weekdays and 12AM on weekends. I placed our order at 9:30PM and was told the food would be ready in 10 – 15 minutes. We weren’t able to make it over there until 10:15PM. When I walked in, two employees at the cash register asked if I was the person who placed the order and, when I said yes, immediately said, «We closed at 10.» I said, «Really? It said midnight online.» They said those are their old hours. So I said, «Oh, I’m sorry.» They didn’t seem to care. After paying I asked whether they had any Parmesan I could throw in the bag and the female cashier said, «The kitchen is closed.» Really? It turned out that a) The«old hours» are what’s listed not only on their location’s website, but also on Google and Unilocal,b) They forgot to include the bread that comes with my egg dish, and c) The food was not good(probably a 1 or 2 out of 5 stars). But, to be fair, my boyfriend loves their beet salad.

A bit on the pricey side. I paid $ 18 for hot chocolate and a crêpe. Besides the price this place is pretty average. The food is good but not great.

I was extremely happy with tonight dinner. Everything from the welcoming to the service and recommendations at the counter. Our savory crêpe firsts and perfectly timed sweet savory crêpe at perfect timing. oh yes i have to mention a perfectly made latte… will be back soon…

Eh this place is ok. Florentine crêpe was a bit of a disappointment to be honest. I’ve had better. I think in general their vegetarian crepes aren’t very appetizing. Their chai lattes aren’t very great either — too much spice? When I took a sip of mine I felt like I was going to choke on the cinnamon it was topped off with. The sweet crepes are good though! And they’re served with really good vanilla bean ice cream.

I haven’t been here for a while, so mom & I decided to go and get some food from here! Disappointed very much so!!! We got the California Crêpe and the bell peppers tasted nasty also the Crêpe was very soggy. The potatoes were mediocre and didn’t have much Rosemary on them, Salad was also just blah! Had a Lemonade it was watery and just gross so waitress kindly added some strawberry to it for me and it tasted much better. Customer Service was a negative, we wanted to add a side of toast and the waitress behind the counter says«we will already be receiving a nice amount of food, why don’t you eat that first and then I’ll come to your table and see if you still want to order than you can» Uh No we want it and that’s all. The owner was upset about an employee so he was a bit sharp as well today! Will we be coming Back here NEVER!!! Don’t come here ever my recommendation !!!

This place is always full of people, but for the life of me I cannot understand why. Maybe it has something to do with its prime location, right on the corner of Shattuck and Cedar. But the food here is not good. It’s not even average. It’s just blah(yes, that’s the technical term for it). On my visit, I ordered the Le Delice($ 9.95), which is their ham and cheddar crêpe; but I substituted gruyère for the cheddar. The filling was fine — simple and classic — but the crêpe itself was really rubbery. The accompanying home fries tasted old and the side salad was like something out of a bag. Like I said, just blah. Of course, it’s not really fair to judge a place just on one dish, right? So when I try this place again, I will update my review. But to be honest, I’m not expecting crêpe food from this place.

Review update: After a string of bad experiences at Crepevine, I am demoting it to one star. And you should listen to me because I am Unilocal’s Duke of this place(most check ins). I eat here because it’s very close to where I live. In terms of food quality, for being in the world-famous Gourmet Ghetto, it’s below average to average. What really bothers me is the consistently poor table service. The waiters and waitresses can be very careless and inattentive. The problem is that you pay at the counter BEFORE you sit down. It feels like once the wait staff rings you up and has received their tip, they don’t give hoot about you. Once scenario to illustrate: I came in on a Saturday night and the place had just 3 guests(not uncommon) and TWO waitresses. I pay for a chicken Caesar salad and leave a generous tip as usual, hoping that that would motivate her(and as a sign of appreciation, of course) 15 minutes later, I get a salad without chicken. I wave her over to politely explain the mistake and she gladly rings me up for the added chicken and sends the order to the cook. Then she disappears behind the counter for something like 20 minutes while I wonder where the chicken is, as I don’t want to start eating the salad without it. Long story short it turned out that the chicken was just sitting on the counter that whole time waiting to be served. It was almost cold by the time the OTHER waitress noticed it just sitting there on the counter and brings it over to me. There is just no excuse for such poor and inattentive service in a restaurant with just 3 customers and 2 waitresses. That kind of service drives customers away and is why I am never going to this restaurant again. I surrender my crown. For better food and professional service which delights customers, got to nearby Tiger Lily or Taste of the Himalayas. Crepevine does not live up the reputation of the Gourmet Ghetto and does not belong here.

Great outdoor seating, the place is convenient when eating out with children. There are great craft kits there while waiting for food. The crepes come with a side of potatoes and salad, so plenty of food.

Let me say this first: Safari Cooler — ask for a sample before you order. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea so don’t join in the bandwagon to fall rite off. I visited around brunch time on a Saturday morning. It wasn’t too busy and they did have good seating(possibly because their crammed in a lot of tables and chairs). BUT I did like their crêpe. What did I get? Oh, I can’t remember… and my picture doesn’t really give a clue of what it was either. The potatoes were good. Yep… Three stars.

Fresh delicious foods, kind of expensive for plate of sandwich but the food was good. Went during lunch crowded but not too bad, good customer service. Wish that the tables was wide enough, a bit small even for two people seat

Came here disappointed… I thought food here was very very mediocre. Came here on a holiday, place was only ¼ full and although there was an extensive menu — food quality was poor. Ordered one of the crepes, and the crêpe itself was mushy, I like mine with a nice crisp to give it texture — in addition, side salad was overly drenched in stressing and even thought I asked for«Sour cream on the side», it came slapped on top of my crêpe… No Bueno. Side fruit bowl was large portioned with not so fresh fruits. I can see why it’s not bustling with people like other restaurants in the area.

AMAZING crepes! We came here for breakfast and I got their Florentine Crêpe — spinach, mushrooms, and glazed onions with jack and cottage cheese: D All their plates come with potatoes and salad. The portion sizes are huge and I was full until dinner time. Friendly staff! Like many cafés in the Gourmet Ghetto, you order with the cashier, and take the number to your table. Plenty of spots to sit inside or outside.

I wondered in here hoping to find a yummy salad but the menu seemed generic, too many tossed lettuce options. I was hoping for an arugula salad, kale or even spinach but no just old lettuce. I stayed and had the veggie burger with fries. Meh.

First time coming to crepevine, I always passed by this restaurant and have heard really good things about it so today I decided to come and try it out. I ordered a club sandwich from here and when I got back to work … It unfortunately mad me sick. When I called to let them know the«supervisor«said I was a liar and what I was telling him didn’t make sense as if he was a doctor and not an employee at a RESTAURANT . I was so upset I decided to walk back down there to speak to someone in person. Of course the«supervisor«wasn’t around so a nice lady Amal had helped me out. I’m giving this restaurant one star because of Amal’s wonderful customer service. I’m not too sure if I will come back to this establishment, but if I do it would certainly be because of her.

The food is delicious and you receive big, hearty portions. My husband got a savory crêpe and I got the Eggs Benedict. Both were very tasty. My Mocha was just ok. The cashier was very friendly and joke with us but the waitress was just average. There were only 4 other tables beside us so I would expect more efficient service. All in all, the food is great though, so I would definitely come back!

It’s a fairly large place but pretty much dead quiet in the morning. According to the server, they are typically not busy till the 11:30AM+ lunch rush, except Fri-Sun mornings. Gluten free option. Tons of crêpe and sandwich options, but it looked like the same core ingredients organized in different combinations. They also have salads and pasta. So many choices, so little time, and so little space in my stomach for food. Alas. Nobody lives forever so I went with a dessert crêpe for breakfast, plus chai. Chai($ 3.25) — Sort of weak but ok. Santorini Sweet Crêpe($ 7.95) walnuts, pistachios, brown sugar, coconut, cinnamon, and mascarpone; served with whipped cream and vanilla ice cream — Nothing weird about the crêpe despite having asked for the gluten free option. — Honestly I didn’t think they used mascarpone here(isn’t it supposed to be creamy looking?), but some other cheese. But I didn’t have enough cheese credentials to go head-to-head with them on it and let it slide. If someone confirms that I am wrong on this, I’ll up the rating to 4⁄5. — Pretty good, but nut flavours didn’t really come through so well. — Price is also pretty good at basically $ 8 for a light breakfast. Service seemed good(but of course I was I think just the only other table that morning, so there would have been no excuse for lousy service). The server was quick to acknowledge people walking in, and to check on them during their meal.

I’ve always loved their dessert crepes, but we were here for a quick bite for dinner. I got the combination soup and salad, which consisted of the chicken vegetable soup and Athena salad. My boyfriend ordered the San Francisco crêpe. I forgot how big the portions were here and for a great place. I loved everything about my food. The salad was great, the dressing was light, and the soup was hearty. I tried a bite of the SF crêpe too and it was just as good.

Came in with my new food buddy around 10pm after she was done with her finals at UC Berkeley. My first visit to Crepevine was in Palo Alto and is my favorite location. There’s nothing better than walking into an empty restaurant, placing your order, and having your food brought to your table withing minutes. Everything on the menu is good. Between $ 8 and $ 10 which is a reasonable price. Well spent money that will leave you with left overs because the portions are huge. I’m just not to sure about the location this one is in. Wish it was in a nicer area. Parking may be an issue especially during the day.
