This is our favorite restaurant in downtown Basking Ridge. The sushi is delicious, and the fish is fresh. They have some inventive rolls. This place is designed for take — out, however they do have a small table and a small counter if you wish to dine in. What puts this place above the top, is that they are very friendly and appreciative of your business.

I have never in all my life seen sushi made at such insane speeds. I never expected that as I took my seat almost simultaneously this lady was already dropping my food off in front of me, and not only was it faster than the speed of light it came out perfect. Not only was this sushi master faster than any before him he could also sing. I was in such shock when I heard that voice I almost turned my chair so I could pick him up and take on Blake Shelton for the title. Back to the real topic at hand amazing place for lunch great food did not cheap out on the spice at all those rolls had some kick! The only thing is I wish there was more room to sit, but I will 100 percent be back.

Great food. Absolutely lovely owners/staff. Very kind & patient to my kids who’d never ordered sushi for themselves before. We’ll definitely be back!

Im staying in the area and stopped by this place for dinner. The place is super small with a few seats outside. The owners are Japanese and very friendly. The prices for the rolls were on the more expensive side at around 12 $ for a specialty roll. I ordered the king dragon roll and the spicy tuna roll and the total came out to 24 $. Definitely more expensive than other places in new york but for a small town in new jersey it’s understandable.

Omg. the Sushi is so good and fresh. I had the Caribbean roll, with fresh mangos and tuna. The service was excellent and welcoming. They have a small sitting area. I would definitely recommend this to friends.

This is a cute little sushi place on lovely Finley Ave in Basking Ridge. There is only one table inside(seats about 6) and there are 3 small tables outside, seating about 8. Food is great, service of the server is decent(not great, never brought us anything to drink), the portions and good, and the sushi chef is friendly. I definitely recommend and will be going again.

On the positive, they have one of the most extensive and unique selection of rolls. They include variations that i have never had before such as fried banana on top of fish. That being said… SERVICE is severely lacking. The staff are friendly, but its pretty disorganized. Took us well over 45 minutes to get our sushi and they even completely forget to put our appetizer in.

Trying to grab dinner with a colleague on a Monday night, with our sites on The Washington House. The sign indicated Mondays are private-party only, and so, we quickly Unilocal’d to see what else was nearby. Mizu jumped out. Maybe I’m partial to the name — as a Mizzou alum; or, more likely it was the favorable reviews, the proximity, and the prospect of a sushi dinner. Very small. One table for four or five, and a short bar with 3 stools. We were able to sit without being rushed, despite this, as flow wasn’t super busy and there were take out orders passing through. Excellent service. The staff were polite, and interested in our business and experience. I wish I could tell you the three rolls which I ordered. I can say that they were hefty, and tasty … and filling — two would have been good. I will be back!

Sushi was super fresh and fabulous! Every roll we had was a great combination with lots of fish and perfectly cooked rice. We had the rainbow roll, paradise roll, and double spicy tuna roll… simply fantastic! Staff was super friendly and caring. So happy we found this little spot. Will visit again when in town!

One of our favorite sushi places. We love the fact they don’t shove the rolls into those tiny little foil trays. Always friendly and welcoming! Yes. It’s really only takeout, but it’s great takeout and that’s all that matters.

We’ve done take out several times and tired many of their menu items. All have been very good! Prices are reasonable, the food is very good and the people there are very nice. We’ll continue to go there for take out Sushi.

This is such a cute place to come by to get something quick and the sushi is amazing. coming here when I’m in the area is a super special treat. Street parking is easy to come by. Not many seats but has a table outside to eat on. Futomaki roll is the best one in my opinion. Also they have lunch specials that come with sushi, soup, and salad.

It’s called Mizu Sushi and it’s website states and so Take Out it is primarily. But as I had 2 hours to wait until my DD’s practice ends I sat at the small 3-seat counter adjacent to the ordering and refrigerated sashimi counter. Cozy and Pleasant waiting area and everything looks so fresh and delicious. The sashimi was excellent and had 17 pieces for $ 18.95. The brown rice I ordered was cooked perfectly. Al dente-like and had a nice texture to it. Too often it’s overcooked and mushy at many Japanese sushi places. Great little find right in heart of Basking Ridge and free parking in front!

this place is cute, but the sushi is alright, it’s just a lot of bang for your buck. it’s more rice than fish/filling. a good tip is that their spicy tuna is in fact spicy, not like most places where it is more like a tuna tartare-salad. there is no seating to speak of. that isn’t a turn off because it is really cozy for the few seats they do have. the staff is very friendly and polite.

This place just opened. I have been looking for a decent sushi place around my work for a while and decided to check them out today. They are very good and reasonably priced, at least for what I got(Philadelphia rolls). I would definitely give them a try if you like sushi. The one thing to note is that they don’t have seating(they’re strictly takeout) and don’t seem to deliver.
