Tsuru has become one our go to spots for sure. It’s in the Dewy Meadow Village which is right by my house and we love it! The menu is quite extensive however I LOVE the Chicken Teriyaki, but my husband always gets a few different kinds of sushi rolls and is never disappointed. We also do take out from them a lot and its always ready quickly and the order is always correct. And we love that it’s BYOB!

I have been coming here for years, and I have never had bad service or a bad meal. The sushi and sashimi are always clean and fresh. The salads are great — avacado, seaweed, etc. The rock shrimp, lettuce wraps, gyoza, and other apps are great too. For non-sushi meals, the duck is great and try the udon noodles. Walk across the parking lot and pick up a bottle of Sake, wine, or some Sapporo beer and what more could you ask for.

My favorite sushi place! I must eat here or take-out twice a week. I love the sushi — I don’t do anything fancy. but we did get the small love boat once. it was beautifully presented. I prefer ordering individually though. The specialty rolls are interesting and always so fresh… and when I want something different, I love the duck. Try it!

Not sure how this place has 4 stars. Visiting the area for work and this was the closest sushi place for me. I was optimistic based on the reviews. Ordered a rainbow roll and spicy tuna. Probably the smallest rainbow roll I’ve ever seen and definitely not worth $ 16. I had to order another roll just to get full. Overall, the rolls were ok, fish seemed fresh. Staff was very pleasant and the service was nice.

Tsuru was really nice! It had been a few years since I had sushi, but Tsuru presented very well and the quality was sushi grade. I really liked the restaurant and, my wife, who is skeptical of Jap cuisine, said she’d like to return… Tsuru isn’t Nobu, but it’s very good quality. The service is excellent.

Ordered the lettuce wraps and tuna tartar for appetizers to share, amazing, fresh and delicious. Entrée I had the special, angel tuna sushi it was outstanding, crunchy tuna inside with asparagus wrapped in rice topped with tuna and the white sauce, ginger, wasabi, soy sauce & spicy mayo were perfect accompaniments. Delicious green tea. The service is outstanding. It’s a BYOB there’s a liquor store steps away, across the parking lot. Love this place never disappointed, something for everyone … kid’s menu, even the nonsushi lovers!

Rock solid sushi. In town for work and had a hankering for sushi. Ordered a seaweed salad, salmon skin handroll, special rainbow roll, and a shrimp tempura roll. Seaweed salad was the same as other seaweed salads. Rainbow roll was fresh filled with crab and covered in 4 fish. Fish on rainbow roll was buttery and generally awesome. Shrimp tempura roll was crunchy, warm, and goodt. Best thing was the salmon skin roll. Roll was spicy, crunchy, full of vegetables, and just generally awesome. I’d go here again w/out question. Update: Ugh… I just ate so much sushi but I have no regrets. Sushi coma commencing in 3…2…1.Zzzzzzzzzzzzz.

With all our eating restrictions: no onions, no garlic, vegetarian, and no eggs, most Japanese restaurants turn us away, especially when it’s 9:45 at night. But Tsuru was very accommodating, and paid attention to the smallest details. For example, they told us that they fry fish and meat in their oil, letting us decide whether or not we wanted tempura. They also made us fresh teriyaki sauce for our Tofu Teriyaki, without chicken broth, since their regular teriyaki sauce has chicken broth in it! We ordered soba and udon noodles, one with extra tofu and the other with extra veggies, both of which tasted amazing! Their rolls were relatively large and tasted very fresh. Overall, Tsuru had amazing service, delicious food, and very reasonable prices!

This is an above average Chinese-owned Japanese restaurant. The sushi and sashimi are very fresh and the price is reasonable for the quality. I’ve tried the Chef’s sashimi platter, the salmon lover, and the Yama roll combo. All were very good and the service was attentive.

Occasionally come here for sushi with my husband. I always get one of their dinner bento boxes, some of everything if I can’t decide what I want. Miso soup is good, service is really friendly. Try the banana tempura for dessert. Would’ve gotten 5 stars if it wasn’t BYOB — but a liquor store is conveniently across the parking lot.

Very fresh well presented entrees. We each had the«single» serving sashimi and sushi dinner, and it was a generous nine pieces of thick sashimi, six pieces of sushi and a salmon roll. Great value and delicious. The service is attentive and professional. Highly recommended!

I live down the street from this place and I always crave their food. Found this place by meeting an old friend for dinner. I’m always concern about the quality of the sushi I will get when going to new places. This place never disappoints me and I always want it every friday for dinner =)

Skip the Kaki Furai(fried oysters) tiny and flavorless and off putting in color(not golden). The agedashi tofu were nicely crisp, but the sauce was thin & lacking in flavor. The best appetizer was sashimi in 3 special sauces! Beautiful to see and delicious to eat. Most of the sushi platters being made(we witnessed being passed by as we sat at the comfortable sushi counter) are beautiful and looked very fresh and appealing Friendly service and comfortable, relaxing atmosphere you forget you’re inside a strip mall!

Always fresh, consistent, BYOB. Ice bucket 4 white wine. Décor is Trendy 4 sushi, cool place w/super friendly staff. I always order two soups vs in place of salad w/out any issues. Miso soup always piping hot w/tofu, shiitake and scallion. Salmon lover is incredibly presented. On ice w/unique garnishes. Thick pieces of super fresh fish. Love this place!!!

Hands-down the best Japanese restaurant anywhere in this area. My wife and I have eaten at some of the best Japanese restaurants anywhere in the world. Although this is not Nobu, It’s fantastic. The décor is beautiful the service is great and attentive and the food is perfect. Some of the best fatty tuna«Toro» anywhere around Along with the salmon belly. The food is artistic and creative on nice plates not just thrown together in a row in a little box. We eat here weekly and we hope it never changes.

The food was good and beautifully served. The wait for our food was painfully slow even though they were not very busy. I will try this place again now that Miraku has closed.

I was in the neighbourhood due to my work commitments. Me and my work collegues decided to try this sushi bars since my collegues were raving about the food. Well to start with, the staff was really attentive and they took really care good of us(we were 8 of us).She started off by serving the tea which was good. Everybody ordered different combination of the lunch box, I ordered the one with salmon. The lunch box comes with soup. The lunch box contains white sticky rice, california rolls, salmon with brocolli. We also ordered fried shrimp tempura. The food was really good, the only glitch was that the salmon didn’t seemed to be of very quality(catch). That is the only reason of giving them four stars.
